A second later, he was running his tongue over the scrape followed by a bandage he pulled out of his pocket and wrapped carefully around her hand as if she were a boxer. Lucian then gave her that sweet smile of his while shoving the bandages back into his pocket.
xXx“So you haven't noticed. I'm getting really good at that,” he chuckled again before pointing at her. “I was talking about you of course. You're the only person I've met here after all and I highly doubt I know anyone in this city due to no one I know having ever gone to the city. As for why I said it, the city is making it far more difficult for me to tell where exactly you are even though we're only at the edge of it.” If he was going to be a "normal guy" he had to admit that he was blind.

"thanks...." she smiled and let her hand drop back down, stuffing it in her pocket. "heh, oh..." she chuckled softly, her cheeks going a bit red. "sorry, i can be a bit of an airhead..." she mumbled, rubbing the back of her head. glancing around again, the redhead frowned as she noticed some rather suspicious looking people coming closer.

I didn't like walking around with that stick thing since it just kept tripping me so I trained my other senses to make up for my lack of sight,” he responded with a slight wave of dismissal. He then shifted his gaze towards the shuffling of feet and sniffed the air slightly although it just looked like his nose twitched. His eyes gave a flicker into a golden-yellowish-orange color before returning to the light blue-green they originally were.
xXx“Would you mind showing me to the school since you can see it?” he asked while readjusting his jacket a bit and slightly pushing her towards the inner city while sliding between her and the strange group growing closer. He didn't recognize their scents, but then again when did he ever really recognize an enemy's scent?

"just one quick thing...." she sighed, pulling otu a few knives, only to toss them at the men who'd been following her, a grin on her face as all but one went down. "there. now we can go~!" she smiled, acting as though nothing had happened. taking his hand, she set off at a quick pace, glancing back only once to see the remaining guy running off.

Knives whizzing through the air was such a familiar sound. He'd slightly turned when he heard it, his middle finger hooking a knife hidden under his jacket on the side of his thigh. When the people collapsed, he unhooked his finger and let her start dragging him into the city while he just moved his legs to keep up with hers. Hopefully she wouldn't make him trip...
xXx“Why didn't you take them all out?” he asked curiously as the whole death thing didn't seem to disturb him any. He was mentally trying to picture things by how the sounds echoed around him, but he couldn't quite picture it since the sounds were changing the picture in his head. It was irritating, but something he'd have to get over since he'd be here for a while.

If they have a short fuse, it shouldn't be long... Or that would be my theory,” Lucian murmured lightly before giving a soft, nervous chuckle. He'd almost slipped up there. Having felt her pace slowing down, he slowed down himself. Sliding his finger under his headband to scratch the side of his forehead, he shifted his eyes around the streets while hoping she couldn't tell he had to force his ninja assassin stealth to vanish so he seemed more normal than he was.
xXx“I think my dad wants me to be some kind of psychiatrist or criminal profiler 'cause I tend to try getting a general idea of how people think based on actions and personalities. It's more of a hobby, but still,” he chuckled lightly.

"hes.... short fused...." she nodded, chewing on her lip. very. short fused.... she frowned, remembering when she'd run with his group on the streets. sure, he was bad a** and tough, but he cared more for his pride then for the ones he commanded, and it rather sickened her. hearing his voice, she shrugged off her thoughts and smiled. "hey, at least your dad takes an interest right?" she smirked, giving his hand a tiny squeeze. "besides, no matter what a parent wants for their kids, shouldn't that kid do what they want?"

He shook his head slightly as he came to a loss for words. To his father, he was useless. No matter how hard he trained or how his skills developed, it was never good enough. Even the one time he ran away from the pack, one of his older sisters had dragged him back by the ankle in which his mother scolded him and his father just glared at him. He didn't need his sight to know he was glaring. “Parents usually just want what's best for their children. Their thoughts of jobs are just ideas really.”
xXxHe'd forced himself to smile although he was somewhat comforted by Truth giving his hand a gentle squeeze. He just felt at ease by how sweet this female seemed to be around him. It could just be fake, but it would be his little escape from cruelty in this city.

Can't remain a puppy forever although it kinda seems much easier when you're still a child... At least it did somewhat for me. If you remain in the past, you can never have a future. It's better to always put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward no matter what,” he murmured softly.
xXx“No matter the pain or strife, one must move forward. There are many paths in life to take, but no matter how we try to prolong the life we've been given, it will always end in death... I sound like my dad now.” Scratching the side of his head lightly, he sniffed the air before coughing to the side slightly.

He taught me many things actually,” Lucian hummed cheerfully while shifting his weight to the front of his feet. A second later, he'd vanished from where he was standing and had a guy with a .9mm pistol pinned against the wall, the guy's gun's barrel set in place between the guy's teeth. “Is this your target, Miss Truth? He was about to let a bullet loose into the back of your head.”
xXxSniffing the air again briefly, he dragged the guy away from the wall with the gun remaining in place and a thin layer of water coating Lulu's fingers so as to avoid fingerprints. “Twelve pistols and four light sub-machine guns hidden amongst the people on the streets. Three snipers at four, seven and twelve o'clock.; twelve o'clock the fifth floor, four o'clock on the eighth floor and seven o'clock on the roof. Just figured you ought to know since you're my guide.” Flashing an innocent smile, he flipped the guy in his hold over his shoulder and set his foot on the guy's head while shifting the gun in his hand at a different guy reaching for a pistol hidden in his jacket. “Tell your friends to stand down please.” The second guy just seemed shocked at how Lulu had moved so calmly and quickly with his eyes closed.

"not my ...favorite choice in weapons... but i suppose it'll have to do..." she drawled, quickly firing off rounds at all the people he'd pointed out before throwing a few knives at the ones who suddenly revealed themselves when the others were taken out. "i hate getting rid of the low levels.... i wish he'd just attack already..." she grunted, tossing the gun away before she took Lucius's hand again. "but, i suppose that 'patience is a virtue, and if i want to be good at what i do; its one i need to learn.'" she sighed, shaking her head.

As of yet that is. “It really is a virtue one needs to succeed. My temper gets the better of me at times though so it's not technically patience I personally lack.
