Dorian glanced at her and sighed. Perhaps this required a bit more understanding on his part. He wasn't used to having an opponent he couldn't defeat so it was difficult putting himself in Maxine's shoes. Perhaps she required just a little more push. "Oh, Maxine." He addressed and approached her, his hypnotic eyes gleaming in the dark of the cellar. "If I were you I'd give myself more credit. You're stronger than you think. Your family trained you well. I have trained you well." The Master raised his hand, giving Maxine the irresistible urge to stand up. "I'm sure all you need is the right motivation. Don't be sad. I am helping you. Just relax, listen to my voice..." His soft words echoed in the recesses of Maxine's unconscious as Dorian walked around her, like a snake coiling around its meal. "You want to please me, make me happy. You want it more than life itself. These wretches will not stand between us. You have the will, and so you have the power. When you face them you will feel no pain from their attacks. They are weak, and the weak cannot stop you." He whispered to her, his eyes meeting hers with each rotation. She could feel herself slipping into a deep trance. "When you face them, you will become an angel of death. You will be the servant you feel I deserve, the servant I know you are." With those words driving Maxine unlike no others, Dorian snapped his fingers and immediately a pair of Greater Steel Kodachi appeared in his grasp. He stopped in front of Maxine and offered them to her. "Take your weapon if you understand."

There was no answer from the cellar door, and no sign of movement either.

Eventually the door to the shed opened up on its own, inviting her inside once more. Silence was still dominating the darkness that awaited inside. Amelie couldn't detect Dorian inside, but still there was the lingering feeling that told her he was.

Maxine slipped into a deep trance without realizing it. She'd been so glad when Dorian stopped yelling at her that she'd just listened to what he said with gratefulness in her eyes. As she went into the trance her eyes went blank and she went still.

When Dorian snapped his fingers she blinked, feeling empowered. Her master's words ran constantly through her subconciousness. Wordlessly she took the offered Kodachi and threw away her wooden ones. Then she slipped on her mask. Just in time too, her target had arrived again. Maxine slipped into the shadows.

She made a noise behind Amelie so the girl would turn around. But in reality, Maxine was to the girl's right side. She attacked Amelie hard and fast with her Kodachi. One kodachi was aimed for the side of Amelie's right knee, to slow her down, while the other kodachi was aimed to go into Amelie's side.

Maxine quickly withdrew and silently went to the left of the now fallen Amelie. Maxine had the advantage. She was used to fighting in the dark. She was an assassin, it was what they did.

Again, Maxine stabbed Amelie only this time she stabbed at Amelie's stomach and neck. She was hoping to end this fast. Or slow. She had no qualms with continually stabbing Amelie til she bled to death.

(( I am going to assume both the attacks hit. ))

"Stop." Dorian commanded from within the darkness. Knowing that Maxie would pause before delivering the final blow, the Master stepped forth into the dim light that loomed outside the cellar door. "Good work, my girl. You can come back to me now." he then said, offering his hand to the assassin girl. Then Dorian addressed Amelie. "If you want to live, you will do exactly as I tell you to." His eyes glimmered red as he looked into her eyes and Amelie would quickly find herself falling into a trance.

Maxine obeidiently paused in her attack and looked at her master. She had her face covered so Amelie wouldn't be able to tell what she looked like. And as long as Dorian didn't use her name Amelie wouldn't know who she was.

She ran at Dorian and took his hand in both of hers. She lived her mask up enough to uncover her mouth and kissed his hand. Then she hugged him and nuzzled him. "Master," she said happily in a soft voice. It would be the first time Amelie would hear her voice.
