Turning straight on her paws, there was a look in those emerald hues. Something caused them to darken when narrowed. Ayita was no longer in the brightest of moods. This cub was going to be in quite some trouble. Have some explaining to do. That harsh lesson would come soon if the graveyard was indeed where the cub was. Musa would learn. Hopefully Abaeze got to the mud colored cub before the head huntress did. Oh no, she wouldn't kill the cub. That was a horrible thing and wrong thing to do. No, it was called show him a side of her he wished he had never seen. It was the same side she had shown to the pride apon getting on her brother. The same side that was showed when a lion decided to speak of her mother in a cross way. Except mild where she wouldn't hurt the cub. Simple stating. It was the look of death in her eyes and the bare teeth. The oversized lioness was a living bound soul of fury when unleashed. Heading in the direction of the graveyard, her speed increased to a jog. Then more to a trot. Then to a run. Not a hunting sprint. A run. Muscled shoulders made her mow down the grasses. Eyes intent in their direction.

[Yup, exit Abaeze to Elephant Graveyard.]
Abaeze streaked through the grasses of the savanna, her blue orbs bright and fierce as she entered the Elephant Graveyard.

Stepping back into the lands of home, Ayita felt at ease. More comfortable then she had before. Of course, strange areas were of course going to bring caution. However, places she had been before once or twice she was surely fine. The huntress afterall knew how to use her size and strangth. Also knew she was a bit of a hard one to take down. Laughing a bit at her own mental breakdown of her slight upturn of personality. Going from a slow stride to a trot, she padded off towards a known location of future prey during the night. Herbavores weren't exactly all that smart at times. They followed ancient patterns which became predictable easily. Ayita had them memorized and knew around what time of the year. Amusing herself eventually the trip came to a slow end. Slipping into a crouching position. Time to get serious.

[Enter Jawara from Pride Rock.]
Jawara watched the hunting party silently as they neared their usual hunting grounds. During the night, prey animals were the most active, as were the lions, and they were on alert as usual. He and the other males kept a watchful eye on the cubs as the lionesses approached a herd of wilder-beast. For once, the young lions were quiet as they watched the females stalk their prey. They all had their attention on the animals that the male had barely noticed the head huntress as she entered the area. He didn't see her, but scented her. Her scent came downwind to his left, and it did not interfere with the hunting of the other lionesses.

A minute or two of stalking, Ayita's eyes had been locked on a perfect target. A overly fed buck of a water buffalo. This horned beast surely was going to be a challenge. Just the way she head huntress liked it. Licking her maw, she was so focused she hadn't noticed the other lioness and even Jawara. Mentally counting down as she stepped, her dark pelt flew forward in a blur of brown. Eyes shining in the darkness as she bound forward as silent as she had ever been. First to dance the dance of ancience. The dance of life or death. The dance which brought forth food for many other. The herd didn't know what was coming to them. Nor the others as the head huntress flew by a few of them. Finally the buffalo noticed something and turned his lazy head. It was too late. White teeth beared and a pouncing giant of a female lion in the air. Her size knocked the wind out of the water buffalo. She clung to his side and her claws dug in. He tried to buck and dart but her weight was hold him down. Falling off she kept up and pounced again. This time sinking into his neck and bringing him down. Lips twitched with blood dripping she held him down as his large size kept him down long enough for her to cover his nose with her maw. Slowly suffocating the poor buffalo. Ayita's own chest heaved. Victory.

Jawara watched the startled lionesses scramble to make a kill as their head huntress took down a signal water buffalo. The cubs were in awe as the powerful female took the life of a massive and powerful creature. The warrior vaguely heard the felling of another beast or two as well as the stampeding of hooves. The lions has scared the poor creatures out of their minds tonight. With the kills, the pride would feed well tonight. "Well done, as usual, Ayita." The male said as the cubs were led to the various kills. The little furballs were still in awe as they were ushered by the females to eat.

Once it was clear the water buffalo was no longer breathing, Ayita's mighty jaw released it's muzzle. In a sitting position, her lungs still heaved. That was a bit challenging indeed. Even if it was a rushed and quick kill. The large ones always took a toll on that might frame of her's. It wasn't until around then that she realized the other lioness were out hunting. Even showing some of the younger cubs. Good night to do so. Beautiful moon out showing the dark details of the grasses. Night vision as clear as day. All of their coats either dark or light shining. Beautiful sight if you had to say so. However, all process of thoughts were shut down and pushed away at the voice of another. Jawara from what her brain could recollect before even looking in the male's direction. Keeping a good expression on her face, Ayita ducked her head. "The praise is of no need. I am simply doing my job. The others are in need of praise." Still a little tired she stayed sitting for a little bit longer.

[Sorry it's taking me so long to reply. I'm organizing profiles my friend's guild.]
"True, but Ayita, not many can take down a might beast by themselves, at least, for a lioness." Jawara replied respectfully, only implying that typically two or three lionesses would be needed to fell such a creature. However, the head huntress was an amazing specimen and exception to that observation. "It would be best for you to rest, Head Huntress, least the cubs catch you off-guard with their questions." His deep voice resonated with a rumbling chuckle. The cubs, now broken free of the spell cast upon them, were yipping and growling playfully, reenacting Ayita's kill.

(It's okay (: )
The huntress was to do exactly opposite of what was advised of her. Being told she should rest, Ayita stood and sunk her claws into the leathery textured skin of the obese buffalo. "They have questions, they must be answered. No matter what it is they ask. Nothing can catch me off gaurd with them anymore." Eyes that had just minutes ago held blood lust for the kill were now as calm and collected as ever. As she started to rip into the buffalo. Planning on dispersing it to pieces to take back to priderock. This beast was fit for the Kings and Abaeze and the others. No matter however, it did not matter. She would of course not eat a single bit until everyone else of the pride was fed. "We were all at that age where we had mind able of comprehending anything, wanting to know whatever it was we could. Wanting to grow up and see the world beyond pride rock. Experience the lands." The cubs got a bit of that chance right now. As they played about and some eating away. They were going to be sleeping until mid day if she guessed right.

Jawara chuckled once more as the huntress confidently informed him about never being caught off-guard. He would contend that statement, but didn't because it wasn't the time or place for such a debate. Maybe another time to discuss it. "As usual, the pride comes first." He commented, watching as the cubs came charging at the lioness with bundles of questions. All the cubs had round bellies full of fresh meat; some could hardly waddle, let alone walk, but still, they approached the huntress with their questions. "Now, now, cubs, the huntress needs to bring this kill back to our kings and queen, and the rest of our pride." The cubs grumbled, and some wouldn't leave, not that he expected them to listen. They were all wide awake and excited after the hunt.

As if on cue Ayita found herself in the middle of a complete little mini pride of lions. All around the same age to be out here, and all around the same size. Except with fat little stomachs. Bulging at the side. They looked like rolled up beetles. Chatting away and asking too many questions at the same time. She was able to catch a few, being as some were the same question, but before the huntress was able to open her jaws and speak Jawara interrupted and caused most of the little fluffs to trot away. One or two stayed and she simply eyed them. One refused to go. A little lioness. Who Ayita checked her mind to remember that the little ones name Bahati. Meant fortune. Good name for the cub was small, fat now, but small. Hadn't been known for liking to speak. Her voice was too low and shy. Eyes softened as she lowered her head and nudged the cub with her nose. "Off little one, your mother will be worried sick if you are not with the others." She watched the cub slowly leave. "So many of them~"

"Yes, and I'm always surprised that your own cubs aren't among them, Huntress." Jawara's deep voice rumbled with controlled laughter as he looked at the dark lioness. What he said was very true. After all this time, most lionesses were bearing cubs for the pride. One or two wouldn't because they were raising the cubs of deceased lionesses, such as Abaeze raising her brother. "The warriors and I will gladly help transport your kill to the Rock." The male switched subjects without a care to the previous topic. The great beast the lioness had felled was certainly large, and it would take some time if she were to simply take it back to the pride by herself.

Her own cups? Did this male state that her own cups weren't with the others? Green eyes stared straight through him. Wondering where he had been trying to go with that. It dawned on her about the typical age group of the cubs. Alright. Made sense. Most of the other lioness had already had cubs. Ayita here did not. Not even having a male of her own. Didn't truly care to have one. Wasn't truly her fancy at this time in her life you could say. She was too preoccupied with taking care of the pride. The pride before herself. She wondered though when she would actually put herself first. Probably wouldn't be happening for a while longer. "As much as I would love to do it by myself, I will even admit it would be impossible for me to do it alone." She said it with a laugh. It was a joke to her. She probably would have tried to do it herself, knowing her. But she wasn't that stupid.

Jawara chuckled, shaking his head with amusement. "Then I'll call a few of the other males over here." The warrior's tail flicked back and forth as he called to two of the younger warriors of the hunting party. They were young and still impressionable, as well as great admirers of the head huntress. Giving them a chance to observe the huntress might break them of the spell she, unknowingly, had over them. "Let's carry the torso together. It's too big for even a single warrior to carry." The huntress counted as a warrior and a hunter in his opinion. She was as large as the males of the pride, and just as lethal as any huntress. It was those qualities that made her so valuable to them.

This male was known to be of good assistance to the members of the pride. Jawara was a good lion to have. Kind, and as far as she knew never truly had a temper. Ayita disliked it greatly when one of their own had temper issues. It made things difficult. None the less, eyes closed as lips pulled back in a yawn. Pearly lethal whites greeting the cool night air. Lions were alive at night. Ayita tended to do day hunting a bit more being as it would be more to feed the little ones. However, it was smaller things like gazelle. Every now and then. She'd get something like this water buffalo, which she thanks the spirit for its body. Not even noticing the glances and the way the dark pelted lioness was being looked at, she went around to part of the creature. Having butchered it enough to put it in pieces, it would be easy to take back. Just a few helpers. "Agreed." Looking towards pride rock, Ayita thought of her dear friend. Surely, Abaeze would be getting a bit of this. And her little brother. After today, they deserved it.
