Cloud twitched a bit. "I-I didn't mean it as an insult... I'm sorry." Then he chuckled and she buried her head into Pre's pillow. "I think its a gift, being warm like that... Do you feel it on yourself? Or only others?" She peeked up at him.
"If you want me to meet them, I'd be honored." She smiled at him. "I bet your friends are as nice as you are." Hopefully, mentioned friend wouldn't see her as she was now. A mess.

He laughed, shaking his head. "Ah, no, I know." He smiled when she snuggled into the pillow, nudging her ear gently. "Hm?" He blinked, head tilting. Did he feel it himself? Such a random question. "No, but now I know I'm a convenient heater if you ever need me."
He laughed, thinking it over. Harvest was nice, yes. She was just a little rough with him. Only him. He could remember harassing her as a teenager, watching her move away and sneer when he braided her hair as a joke. Ah, childhood memories. "She'll probably be here tomorrow afternoon, if I remember correctly." He glanced down at the red vixen, comfortable where he was. But was she?
"Should I return to my den? Or stay with you?"

She laughed softly. "I'll be sure to remember that." She leaned against Prelude, almost using him as a pillow instead of the one he lent her. When Prelude asked if he should go. She shook her head quickly. "Stay! ...Please... " She didn't want to be alone. She wanted Prelude to stay with her.

At her plea he blinked, comfortingly placing his head on her back. "Alright." He said softly, nodding. "I will stay. You can sleep now. I won't move." He wouldn't leave her alone if she wished, and a small part of him wanted to stay beside her, to comfort and warm her, and sneak in cuddles, as well.
He allowed her to lean on him, curling his tail around her and nuzzling her ear softly. Ah. "Did you mean to drop your bracelet?" He asked, just remembering that he had it on his tail still.

"You should move if you get uncomfortable." She smiled up at him, a little reluctant to sleep. Inside she thought he would leave her if she fell asleep. She sighed happily. She was already warm, though she still was sneezing and had the sniffles here and there.
She blushed as Prelude nuzzled her ear. Then she jumped and looked at her paw. "M-my bracelet!" She shakily got up and looked around, her eyes started to well up as she frantically looked for it around her cave. She got riled up and sneezed with a force strong enough to knock her back and over.

"Hey," He moved, pulling her back down and against him to prevent her from moving to much, his wing wrapping around one side. "Hey." He spoke in a whisper, flicking his tail so the tip with the dangling bracelet was in-front of her face.
"I saw you dropped it." He said using a paw to lift her front right paw and gently slipping the bracelet back on. "Maybe it's to big. I can always get you a new one." Why was he getting her presents? Why was he willing to get a better one? It confused him, perplexed him. He couldn't be doing this all over. Even the sweet ones left.

She let him pull her to him. She wasn't well enough to get frizzed like this. When she saw the bracelet again she smiled a bit and relaxed. Then a wave of guilt hit her. She lost the beautiful gift, what if she lost it again. "Thank you...." She looked up at Prelude.
"Please... Don't go through the trouble of finding a new one. I know how special these are..." She slipped the bracelet back onto her wrist. "...and I like this one. Very much. I promise I will be more careful with it." She folded her paw to her chest, close to her heart.

He smiled softly, nodding to her as she took the bracelet. "Alright." He smiled at her, resting his head on her neck. It was nice curling up beside someone, no, not someone. Cloud Chaser. He was happy to be beside her.
"Alright, Strawberry, you should sleep." He opened one eye to see how she'd react. He was content where he was, and wasn't moving. Even if she said he could. He was happy making sure the smaller vixen was safe and warm.

Cloud nuzzled into Prelude. She was warm. comfortable, happy. And yes, she was in love. But did she have the guts to tell him. No. Not yet anyways. She blushed at his nickname, luckily for her her cheeks were already red from her sneezing, so the blush blended in. She giggled softly and mumbled the name to herself.
Her cheeks got a brighter shade of red. "W-will you sleep with me, Prelude?" She looked up at him with her large yellow eyes. Her tail rapped around his. Even if he didn't she was happy he was there, and she was under his wing.

At her request he smiled, nuzzling her cheek gently. "Of course." He said, spreading his wings and covering her so she could be warm, resting his chin on her neck.
"Go to sleep, I'll be here when you wake." He promised, smiling at her warmth. He wouldn't go anywhere as long as she stayed right where she was. He knew that he'd stay with her forever, if he could. Though, could he? Could he bring himself to let this happen? Or...

She relaxed under his wings. Sighing with content and happiness. "Thank you, Prelude." She closed her eyes and was fast asleep in no time.
*Hours Later* Cloud rolled over, then her eyes shot open. She had almost forgotten Prelude was there with her... Still there. Like he promised. She smiled softly and licked his cheek. "Prelude?" She wondered if he fell asleep while she slept.

He hadn't fallen asleep, actually. He had stayed awake just to watch over her, just in case something happened to her or them. When she stirred he smiled down at her, lifting his wing gently.
"Did you sleep well?" He asked, licking her cheek back in return. He made sure to shift so she wouldn't burn up from his heat, glad that she seemed to be awake and talking fine. "Do you feel fine, Cloud?"

She peeked out from under his lifted wing. "I did. Thank you." She looked around briefly then back at Prelude. "Is the sun still out?" She was hoping it was about the time the sun was about to go down, cause then she could take Prelude to her spot as a thanks.
She nodded. "I feel a lot better." She smiled at him. She could already feel her joints were stiff. She carefully wiggled away from Prelude so she could stretch out. "Were you able to sleep too?"

"The sun is just setting." He said, smiling as she moved to stretch, stretching his own limbs, letting them crack. Glancing at the vixen he flipped his hair to the side, shaking his head.
"Ah, no. I was happy watching over you." He said, giving her a reassuring smile before rolling onto his back, cracking his back, and sitting up straight. "I wasn't tired, either." His tail flicked around himself, yawning, which was not helping his point.

She blushed a bit, then giggled at his yawning. "Think you can stay awake for a few more hours?" She looked up at him with large eyes and a smile sweet enough to give anyone a toothache.
"If you think you can manage staying awake. I would like to take you somewhere." She smiled sheepishly. "It's my favorite spot. Now is the perfect time to go." She sat up and look at Prelude. Hoping he wanted to go.
