Riley was pretty confident that Jericho was going to pass out soon. Then she would make sure he was comfortable, and leave to prepare-
Thud.
-for what she had to do. Except, she wasn't holding him anymore. In fact, she couldn't feel anything. Where had Jericho gone? Why couldn't she feel her arms? Her legs? Her - .. ah. She was unconscious.
She had lost.
The first slam against the floor had been hard enough to knock Riley unconscious. The second one had merely managed to knock her now loose arms and legs off of his body, and she fell limp against the floor underneath him. Her eyes were open, staring blankly up at the ceiling, but her mind was trapped in the throes of the subconscious, completely knocked out.
And yet, even deep down in her sleep, she was aware of what had happened. She should be ashamed. She should be absolutely horrified that Jericho had bested her in physical combat. She should be..
She was proud. And maybe, though she'd never admit it, just a touch relieved.
Her eyelids slid closed.

Just as he felt he was about to slip into the sleeping realm, Jericho felt the pressure from around his throat gone. Gasping for air, he rolled away, taking a few moments to recuperate. His vision was still spotty from the lack of oxygen in his system, but a few good, deep, breaths helped clear that up.
Still breathing heavily, he glanced over towards Riley, seeing her there still. He could see her still breathing, which was a relief. Furthermore, he had won.
Locating his pin, he shifted back to his humanoid form and went on to place the Illithid's on hers as well. As he did so, he checked her for any other damage he might have done but there wasn't anything serious from what he could tell. A part of him felt bad to have had to do this to her, but he was very relieved that his treasure would remain in tact.
The dragon placed a hand on her forehead and smiled weakly.
<> he sent, though he didn't know if she could hear him. He looked around his room a bit and rubbed his throat. Breathing still felt weird and it was a bit sore as well. He best bring her to her room... she'd be more comfortable there.

Riley heard him. She heard him loud and clear, and she was still proud of him for doing what he had to, despite his emotions. He didn't let them get in the way. He was a testament to strength - strength she thought she didn't have. It was a strength she wanted, desperately. It would mean an end to her fear.
She couldn't respond to him, of course. Her mind was unable to link while so deeply unconscious. Her limp body couldn't react, but his words had gotten through regardless. They, more than anything, were the most powerful blow he'd thrown that night.

After looking her over a little more, Jericho carefully lifted her up and headed on out to bring her to her room. He thought of calling Malodore briefly, but decided against it. The doctor had caused this to happen, so it was best that it wasn't around just yet. He still wasn't very happy with the thought of what was said, however.
Once in the demon dorms, he carefully navigated through Riley's room, trying hard not to stumble over anything in the darkness. He knew the basic layout, which helped a fair bit, but there could always be something on the ground that he missed. He eventually managed to find her bed, where he gently laid her down and pulled her covers over her.
There, he continued to linger by, awaiting for her to awaken.

Unfortunately, Jericho was in for a long wait. Riley's brain wasn't meant to be forced unconscious so easily, and so it would remain there for at least an hour. It didn't help that she didn't quite want to be awake right now. There was too much waiting for her when she awoke - she was just fine here, thanks.
Her legs looked swollen from their encounter with an entire dragon body crushing them down.

With the bedroom lit, it was then that he saw Riley's legs and he couldn't help but frown at the sight of them. Grimacing, he left briefly to gather a few things. He was going to need ice for something else anyway.
Upon his return, he placed some of the ice on her legs in an attempt to reduce the swelling while working on fixing something else up. Jericho didn't really care how long it would take for her to awaken. He was pretty set on sticking by and help her recover if possible.

Quite some time had passed. Riley shouldn't have expected that he'd still be here when she woke up, but she also didn't expect to have lost the fight, and she certainly didn't expect to wake up in her own bed. She opened one eye, and peeked over at Jericho's back. She couldn't see what he was doing, so she shifted slightly - and pain shot up her legs.
Ahh - She tried to speak out loud, but nothing came, out, and her hand reached up to feel her smooth face. Disoriented, she let out a pleading thought - not words, but just a sort of reaching out - towards Jericho.

As time passed on, Jericho finished making whatever it was he was working on and replaced the ice on her legs regularly to try and keep down the swelling. Sitting down at the edge of the bed, he wasn't aware that Riley had awoken until he felt a sort of pleading feeling in the back of his mind. Turning around, his eyes lit up as he saw her staring at him.
"Ah! Riley, you're awake..." he said before getting up so he could stand over by her side, "How... are you feeling?"
He had a concerned look on his face as he looked her over again.

Riley slit her eyes thin and glared at him in faux anger. Beneath the expression, there was clear amusement, which was echoed in her voice.
Like s**t. She responded. Thanks so much. How about you?

Though her expression was one of anger, her voice had a very different message. Smiling faintly, he placed a hand on her forehead to try and make sure there wasn't any sort of fever there.
"Better now that you're awake. er... sorry for damaging you like this," Jericho said before turning away to grab something, "If.. you're hungry I have some jellied kobold brains for you."

There was now four things Riley wouldn't have expected today. She barely turned her head to look down at the mushy mixture, and chuckled softly. You really did have quite a few too many of those guys, didn't you? One arm reached back to push herself up, but her body railed against her and she flopped back down before she'd gotten too far.
Ah.. I may have to wait before I can get up to try them. Everything still hurts a little. Did you have to lay on me so hard, hmm? She teased. Her eyes turned down, and her head twisted to get a look at her legs. They were bruised, and sprained, but she could tell nothing was broken by the way they didn't make her scream when she moved them.
I'm going to have your marks all over me, after this. You'll be like an honorary demon.

Nodding to Riley, Jericho set down the jellied brains and chuckled a little nervously.
"I guess I was a little too rough," he said apologetically before grinning a bit, "Does this mean you get to do what I say?"
There was a slight mischievous glint in his eye as he said this, though it faded as he became a little more serious again, "Though hopefully those marks don't stick around for long. Is... there anything you need right now?"

Riley sighed gently, lifting one hand up to wrap around Jericho's shirt collar. She tugged weakly, and brought him down to her eye level.
Don't get fresh. I said I wouldn't mind wipe if you won. That doesn't mean you get me to do anything you want. I can only imagine what you might have planned for me, you filthy teenage boy. She laughed and set him free, finally managing to push herself up to a seated position. Her head throbbed painfully, and she took a moment just to gain her bearings.
His last question had a multitude of answers filling her head. She needed a lot of things - but most of all, she needed to come to terms with the emotions she now had to live with instead of wiping them clean. I don't know. Just stick around, if I think of something, I'll let you know.

Grinning a bit deviously at her words, he shrugged and laughed lightly again. He looked a little concerned as she sat up, but she seemed to be fine. Relaxing again, Jericho sat down on the bed once more and nodded to her.
"I wasn't on planning on leaving until you got better anyway," he said. This was outside of grabbing things he needed, but he wasn't planning on leaving for prolonged amounts of time.

The swelling on her legs had gone down, and she could see that the ice had melted against her legs, so she nudged her chin down at them. Those will need to go before they puddle my bed. She murmured quietly. And, ah.. you closed the door behind you when you brought me home, I hope? She reached out, trying to sense each of her minipets minds, but one in particular.
