Helloooooo thar. I am: PJB-11 (Peter) I am: Male Mostly I write: Fiction My biggest influences are: hardworking writers who have worked their way up rags-to-riches style, Stephen King and J.K. Rowling in particular. Not style-wise, but career-wise. Stylewise, I admire Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Raymond Chandler & F. Scott Fitzgerald. I aspire to: one day have my novels reprinted in an extravagant cloth-bound hardback collection that will have bibliophiles like myself salivating. In my free time I: read and write, that's a given. I'm currently following The Big C and Weeds on TV. I like stage musicals, but other, non-musical theatre bores me. One weird thing about me is: I love browsing bookshops. I only look at the books with appealing covers. I will open it up at a random page, and if I like the writing style, I will read the blurb, and then order it on amazon which is far cheaper. Hi there! I'm Jay. (Jingan) i'm 19 years old, male aand I live in Port Charlotte Florida. smile
My writing normally consists of Poetry and lyrics. Just recently i've written my first poem in 8-9 months. But, I've been getting more comfortable slowly writting a bit more here and there. Maybe being here could help me outlet. lol ^_^"
Influences... I would have to say Edgar Allan Poe. Also, R.A. Salvatore. Lyrical though my influences range from anything around rock, rap, punk, metal, and alternative. I try to keep to what my dad says, 'A great song or poem should always tell a story.' and I whole-heartedly agree. :3
I really just wanna make it in life, I want a family, a career I can be proud of and enjoy, practically the 'american dream' lol. I want to be a dad most of all though. Hard work, but rewarding as hell.
I love to play Video Games! biggrin Anything in the Vidya and Games area of life i've grew up with. Started all on a SNES when I was like 5. xD

Welcome Athene, Peter, and Jay!!! I'm so excited for you to be here and I look forward to reading some great stuff from all of you! ^_^
Don't worry about going dead for awhile Athene. I know it happens. Like I said, there's no posting requirements or anything. Besides, school is more important than some silly old guild.
Peter~ That is an awesome aspiration. I hope that happens for you. I would buy a copy on the spot. Bookstore browsing is a hobby of mine too, though I always end up buying some. I'm a book addict!
And if you need some poetry help, Jay, don't be afraid to ask. There's a couple poets here that will be more than willing to offer their assistance. Same goes for everyone, really. The guild is for your benefit and growth, so use it at your discretion.

Hello, I am Shira.
I am female, which I hope you could tell.
Most of the time, I write dark fantasy, occasionally fiction, and poetry whenever I'm feeling over-emotional.
My biggest influences are probably Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, E.A. Poe, in terms of writing. I occasionally look to music for inspiration, but I listen to obscure things that no one else has ever heard.
I aspire to actually get a novel published at some point. This is very unrealistic. I have never finished anything.
In my free time I read and write (obviously), ride horses, walk my dog, and let the dog, who is 90 pounds, walk me....
One weird thing about me is that I have a habit of carrying a piece of bloodstone in my pocket. And usually a knife. Shhhh.
