"Oh.. I thought you meant..." He thought Jonathan was the name of his master, but figured saying such a thing would be rude at this point.
The puppy shivered and buried it's head in Kei's shoulder, "Near where monster be. "
sweatdrop "Nevermind," Bolt said, "I think it best if we just find the clearing Kei was talking about."
The puppy whimpered more, "Monster come night. It try eat master...people with him. They leave fire burn... run away. Cloth houses around fire stay where they put in ground with string. I not want see monster again. I want see master."

Keioko nodded. "Hold on a moment, I'm trying to get this puppy to show us."
"Do you see the company you're with? This monster will not hurt you, neither will the rest of us. I promise. You can chew on my tail if anyone tries to hurt you when I'm around. Kay? Can you please show us where it is?"

The puppy licked it's lips and said, "Okay. I show you." It hopped down out of Kei's arms and started walking along.
"Eh?" Bolt said, "I guess we follow the puppy..." ^_^;;
He walked over the her and gave her a peck on the cheek, "I can't read minds... I guess you're valuable to both me and this mission. Thanks."

She smiled softly and returned the favour before walking ahead and close behind the puppy as she began to follow it.
"Come on Kane! Other guy who's name I don't know! (Eheh, sorry Doc) Hurry up!"

The puppy ran swift and fast. They all looked very strange to anyone who could see them enter the woods the way they did. However, to the dog, this was very important. As they ran, Bolt said to Kei, "...you know, it is kind of a cute puppy."

The puppy stopped in it's tracks. It whimpered, "Something here... something smelly.."
As it said that, it realized where it was, "We close to clearing. Thing smelly between us and it."

Keioko paused behind the puppy and quietly sniffed the air, sneezing once at the smell.
"It smells like mold...."
"Is this what the monster smelled like?"

"This something else," the puppy said.
As it finished saying that, a group of three blobs crawled out from the brush. They were green and the only feature they had was a small tentacle sticking out of their stomach. They made a sloshing sound as they all three charged at Keioko.

Flitting shadows and the rustle of his cloak was all that signalled him following the others, hardly seen but in periphreal vision and at the edge of most hearing. When the puppy stopped Kane was at their side again, as if he had never left it, breathing heavily through his mouth, spots of blood that hadn't been there before marking his cloak. Apparently he had stopped for dinner.

Bolt glanced at Kane, "Hungry?" He laughed, and then, seeing the blobs rushing Keioko, he drew his yellow katana with his left hand. "Do you know how blob tastes, Jonathan?"

Kane chuckled, "Doesss the pussssss of a ghoul count? It looksss the sssame." A loud crack could be heard as the metal strap snapped itself off from the case, two great hands gripping the case tightly like a stubby baseball bat. Despite how eager he looked the rush forward, tactical calculations raced through his mind. Given his size in comparison to Kei, if he missed or tripped, he could hit her, or even crush her under his weight. Similar thoughts to firing a burst weapon into combat, really. He closed his eyes, listening intently with hearing beyond that of a human, calming himself as he took in the surroundings.
((>.> That and I didn't want to take any major actions cause Kei hasn't posted. ^_^))

"Screw that! I'm in!" Keioko shouted excitedly as he rushed ahead at the blobs, one of her two adonized ninjatos drawn and brandished, glowing with a demonic aura. She spun around theatrically and swiped at one of the blobs to test the effect of how it would react to such an attack.

The blob got hit below it's tentacle... it got cut clear into two. However, the part with the tentacle straightened and jumped at Keioko. The other half remained dead. The other two blobs had to decide whether to continue attacking or run away. One blob lost it's strength of body and tried to flee, only to have a lightning bolt smash through it's tentacle in a flash of bright white light.
"No one," Bolt said, standing with the yellow katana pointed at the spot he had shot at, "gets to attack Kei while I'm around."
The other blob looked decided to go out with a bang.. it charged right at Kane, it's tentacle ready to swipe at his knee. They moved surprisingly fast for having no legs.
Bolt's katana was held straight forward, the writing on the blade able to be clearly seen by Kane. It said "Klara".
