She shook her hea din disagreement and he got her back to her feet and rebalanced. "Sis could get this stuff on the first try... if I ever get a basic thing done, I forget soon after and have to relearn... I stopped bothering with it years ago..." They continued to dance, and this time she didn;t look down... but NOW she stepped on him. "Sorry" Accidentally, of course. Jumping back, she grimaced at her mistake. "I... am horrid..."

Wincing slightly as she stepped on his foot, he shook his head lightly. "No, it's okay." he tells her, trying his best to sound reassuring. "It was bound to happen eventually, and I knew the risks when taking up this task." he does his best to smile, waiting for her to step forward and take up her position once more. "You really don't need to apologize. I tried teaching the captain once, and she just stepped on my feet the whole time... on purpose." he'd had to ice them every fifteen minutes for a full day, the pain making it hard for him to sleep. Once or twice was no big deal, but she had made a point to do so numerous times.

Loki kept his laughter to himself and answered his captain knowing that his mental language can not be intercepted by no one but the captain. Aye you be the only one who can cure my poison. And that is the only way that anyone would be able to live if I bite them. Loki moved the little fluff ball to his head and set her there ontop of his head and looked around noticing all of the striders that had come to honor these two little ones.

"Well that... that's just mean..." Izzy stepped forwar this time, attempting to then move to the side and then put her feet together, she managed to do several rpunds of this before tripping over her own feet again... this time when she fell forward, however, neither of them were so lucky. Her lips met his for a brief second before, with wife eyes, she jumped back, fuirther this time, hands up. "I am so sorry...." What the ehll did she just do?!?
Pippa squirmed a great deal as she was pucked up, still wanting to play with the little one. As she was placed on Loki's head, she delt with him as she would with Nemo... reaching down and batting at his nose and ears.

"She doesn't like criticism." he responds simply, laughing faintly. It hadn't been so bad after he insisted it was her boots that were messing her up and that she should definitely take them off. When Izzy took the lead, Agito knew something was going to go wrong; the girls weren't supposed to lead. The fact that she only vaguely knew what she was doing didn't help her case. "No, wai-" it was too late as she fell forward, and he moved to catch her as best he could. Her lips hit his, and his eyes widened dramatically. His face flushed immediately, and he raised a hand to cover his mouth. "I... uh... no.. it's fine." this time remaining where he was, he seemed almost frozen to the spot.

She didn't move... quite horrified with herself. "It is not fine...I... uh... I... crud..." Her face matched his in redness. What were they going to do now? If she left... would that hurt his feelings? She couldn't just go right back to dancing as if othing happened... "I... uh... I am really... really really sorry..." Oh, she hoped no one saw them. Glancing about, just to make sure... izzy... locked eyes with her sister, who in turn smirked evilly. "Oh no... she saw... this is... not good..."

He watched her a moment longer before turning his face quickly to the side; so at least he wasn't the only one blushing. Why, though? It had only been an accident... He continued to blink, not sure what to say next when she mentioned a 'she'. Following Izzy's gaze, Agito's eyes widened in horror. Though Clea may have seen, it was the woman glancing at them over the girl's shoulder that frightened him; the captain had seen, and she was grinning just as wickedly as Izzy's sister. "N-not just her..." he points out, his stutter returning with a wave of nervousness. "The captain... Oh man... They'll never let this go..."

Izzy's face when from bright red to extremely pale within seconds. "This is... not good... we need to... run... or hide... or soemthing... WHy am I acting like such a baby?' The last question was to herself. "I fight ghosts for crying out loud... damn, that doesn't matter, I... ah... we... need to go.." She looked up at him, hoping he would confirm. "Clea will be bugging me to no end, saying it's about time and... and... Oh, this is soooo not good."

"If we leave.... the captain will maul us." Agito reminds her, wondering which situation was worse. Couldn't Izzy always point out that her sister didn't have a boyfriend either? He wondered if that would work... probably not. Especially with the captain in the know. They were cornered, in more ways than one. "Is it better to avoid teasing and be violently attacked, only to be brought back and endure more teasing.... or just teasing?" he asks, just wanting to be sure of which was the better answer. "We'd never make it.... she'd hunt us down..."

"I think I'd rather be mauled, to be honest... I don't take... teasing very well..." Another flaw she was admitting to. She really wasn't the awesome person Agityo thougth she was, seemingly so strong and confident. "If I can get Pippa... and we sneak along the walls... she's busy with the Grave's right?" She gave him a pleading look. "What else could we possibly do? If we stay here...nevermind... I'm just gonna avoid... everyone..."

Puck sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. Polite or not, he wish he could have just demanded answers from both the captain and Anlu. Dancing around the bush and ignoring the white dragon in the room just set all of his senses, even the psychic ones, on edge. He resolutely went to fetch the pair of them drinks…and not a second too soon, either. It appeared his nephew had gone a new route to embarrass his betrothed.
Approaching the two, he drawled, “Behave, Robin. I should hate for the captain to beat on you both, you for being such a cad in public while your betrothed for making a drunken fool out of herself for the first time.” Harsh, perhaps, but sometimes that was the only way to get into Robin’s head, and Puck’s tact was about eaten away because of his concern for Anlu. He smugly grabbed a water for Anlu and a glass of the wine (a fine vintage, knowing the captain) for him, before walking back to Anlu’s side.
He offered her the water before he took a seat beside her, wrapping his arm around his kitten’s shoulders. “Now that I’ve disrupted the younglings for the time being,” he said softly, “Do you want to tell me what all the double talk is about?”
Opening his mouth and brushing his fangs against her skin, just enough she felt them but without breaking her skin, Robin meant it as a bit of a teasing punishment for bringing up a subject he didn’t want to mention in an attempt to distract him. “Do you really care how?” he asked, but before he could continue his dratted uncle appeared and pointed out what a show he was making. Scowling, he agreeably raised his head, but wrapped his arms around Claire, one hand possessively splayed across her stomach as the other gripped her opposite shoulder. “Are you done making a pest of yourself?” he replied tartly. He was thrilled when Puck walked away to return to his human mate. Now he had to see which way Claire was going to jump…
Dae’s eyes had widened when the strange creature reached towards her. A frightened whimper escaped her, and she reflexively tightened her hold on her toy cat. It was scary! It wasn’t like her parents, or her sister, or even that other thing that had visited that Kalina had liked so much. She didn’t want it near her! When her sister started crying, she immediately assumed that it was that thing’s fault, and began to whimper fitfully herself, though thankfully not at her full volume…yet.
Kalina heard her sister’s whimper, but before she could get upset too, the kitten hopped towards her! She laughed and was thrilled, letting her rabbit drop to the floor as she reached for the new toy. It was soft, and made such a nice sound. She hadn’t had a toy that moved on its own before. But then the strange man picked up her toy and took it away! Now she let out her own cry, one of demand more than upset, as she tried to reach towards the kitty again. No bunny, no kitty… Kalina had never not had a toy when she wanted one.
Mori had kept a sharp eye on the little winged kitten when it reached towards her eldest daughter. When it jumped on to her shoulder, she was unable to help her powers surging forward, crackling just at the surface of her awareness though not lashing out…yet. It was mostly maternal instinct, rather than fear, as she waited to be sure that the kitten didn’t unintentionally hurt her baby. She smiled at Loki when he took the kitten away, relaxing slightly, until Kalina reacted with a cry. Her powers reacted before she could grab them and thrust them back into the corner of her mind. The sound of…something…breaking (thankfully, it sounded like something small and ceramic) made her ears twitch. “I’m sorry,” she said with a wince followed by a sheepish smile at the captain.
Adjusting the crying Kalina in her arms, Mori murmured soothingly, “Shh, petifi, shh…” Rather than trusting her balance to let her kneel down without jostling the baby, she went ahead and used her powers to bring the toy up into one of her hands. Offering it to Kalina, she repeated soothingly, “Shh, now, you’re alright… It’s alright, now…” Obviously satisfied now that she had something to hang on to again, Kalina gave a few more watery hiccups before agreeably snuggling in her mother’s arms. Mori was now able to turn her attention towards Jon and Dae, in case he needed help soothing the other, more easily-upset twin, unsure if Kalina’s fit had started Dae off, since the reverse was true.

Anlu heard him comming back and welcomed his embrace, leaning into it. Taking the glass of water, she drained hald of if before giving a sigh and a smile. "Oh? Those two going at it again, or is Robin trying to warm her up?" Those two, they were almost always fighting, meaning they were almost always making up... though the fighting still happened more often. "I wonder who will start the true trouble first this time." Would it be Robin, or Claire... either way, they would both be stuck in the middl eof it. When Puck softly asked about what was going on, Anlu averted her eyes, keeping silent for a few moments, then drained the rest of her glass. "It was just a couple days ago, and I thought nothing of it until now... but... I think I'm losing my poison immunity..." She still didn't look his way, but she leaned on him for comfort. "I have only known one poison to get past my family's immunity, and I've been working on my immunity to it for a while now... however... it was just a simple knock-out powder... I was down for, maybe ten minutes... Claire was there with me and said so... but, I thought maybe my experimentation had some odd effects? I don't know... I just hope it isn't... permenent." A small shudder ran down her spine as her mind filled with dread. "That immunity is a piece of who I am... without it I'm at an extreme disadvantage... and pretty much useless."
To feel his fangs against her flesh made a light shiver run down her spine, not... out of fear. "I...might care..." The hand holding her glass shook as her face becamme redder with embarassment. "I'm positive you didn't join the party to see me..." No, she was just the perk... the compensation for being well-behaved. When Puck showed up to scold them, mentioning that she could be drunk, she looked away and pushed off the glass, too. He was right, she couldn't let herself get intoxicated... though not for the reasons they would think. She couldn't afford to have a loose tongue. Still, though Robin's mouth was away, that didn't allow the blush to leave as he moved is hands in a possesive manner, still holding her close. "I'm... not sure whether... to be grateful... or disappointed... that he showed up..." Because if he hadn't, she'd be feeling more of those fangs... Now with her future uncle gone back to his mate, however, she wasn't sure where to go now... Eventually she sighed, momentarily reaching back to rub lightly at the blood bond mark between her shoulders, and decided to simply ask, "What do you want from me, Robin?"
Pippa mewed in a pleading manner when Kaline cried. I want to plaaaaay... let the baby play with me. I'm gooood. Please? She hopped off of Loki's head and onto the Captain's shoulders, ourring and nuzzling her before turning back to Mori and the baby with another meow. Looking to the Captain, she tilted her head in confusion. Tell her I will not harm?

Jon had expected Dae to start whimpering at some point. Though when he had not figured. She had reacted better to the kitten than expected. To be honest he was more surprised that Kalina was the first on to start truly crying. As interesting as that was however Dae shortly followed suit. Jon brought the small girl closer and in a very soft and hushed voice spoke in her ear, "It's alright dear I've got you. No one is going to hurt your sister I promise." It seemed that Mori had regained most of the control over her powers. That was a blessing despite that now something in the room was shattered. "See look." He turned the girl in his arms to where Kalina was visible. "All better."

Pippa kneaded the Captain's shoulder and purred --an attempt to prove she was being harmless. Her eyes were still on Kalina, though. Kalina and Mori, anyway. Every now and then she would mew softly, her twin tails twitching from side to side. She just wanted to cuddle with the baby... there was no harm in that, was there?
Still red-faced, Izzy checked their surroundings to make sure no one else was looking at them. Her sister was being a pain, sending shifty glances their way, however... the Captain seemed to regain her business with the family that the party was being thrown for in the first place. Every inch of her wanted to bolt right out of there... maybe snatch up Pippa --that traitor cat-- and fly off... maybe for a few hours... or forever. But... that wouldn't do, would it? She'd end up leaving Agito behind to deal with the... harzards to come. So, slowly, she turned and with a sheepish glance... ducked her head. "So... what would you suggest we do? Should we just... act like nothing happened and... continue...?"

Watching the mother and child, the captain reached up to scratch behind the nekomata's ears as she stepped down onto her shoulders. Noting the cat's pleading look, the captain rolled her eyes before turning her attention back to Mori. "Pippa just wants to play with the babies. She's perfectly harmless. She's very chatty, if Nemo is to be believed." sighing lightly, the captain tilts her head to see around Mori to search for the broken object; it was a vase, though not one of any particular value.
To her, at least.
The captain's expression softens as she shifted back to look at the crying baby. She seemed to calm as her toy was returned to her, and the captain seemed to settled down a bit. "She's much smarter than the average cat." the captain couched for the nekomata on her shoulders, rubbing behind it's ears.
A tinge of relief hit Agito as the captain turned back to the family, and was instantly torn to shreds as he glanced towards Izzy's sister. When his companion mentioned that she didn't handle teasing well, the boy was blatantly unsympathetic; he'd lived his entire life dealing with teasing and being called crazy. A little more wasn't going to bother him too much, but he would hate for her to have to go through it as well. Striders could be fairly cruel when they wanted to be, though the more social ones were more sympathetic. He turned his attention back to Izzy, still fairly red himself. "I... don't know." he admitted, looking fairly helpless himself. "I suppose we could... and deny everything?" he offered, not really sure.
