He turned to the left, holding her hand to make sure she didn't get lost in all the commotion. "Sorry. So many people, so little space." he said with a smile. "Especially now, trying to get ready for flood season and everybody is a little on edge. It'll pass." Kikimaru led her through crowds before helping her inside a small hut. It looked small on the outside, but it was HUGE on the inside. Only three elders stood in the middle of the room, which Kikimaru bowed respectfully.

Deni Rae walked calmly behind him and watched him as he bowed to the elders. She looked forward to them and bowed her head to show her respect. She stood there silently, with a cool edge about her, trying not to let her concerns show.
