" Hmm, that's unfortunate, you don't know anything either then." From what he could tell though, the place must not be too dangerous at the moment if these two were wandering around." Where do I get off?" he echoed, raising and eyebrow, unsure of where all this hostility was coming from. " Well I guess it's only natural to have questions when I wake up in a place other than my own room. Like she said."Was the rapping his window for the past week connected to this? Didn't matter. " I'm Riley..." He saw her arm extend, then retract, he looked at his hand, inspecting it to see if there was anything unusually about it...it was a little paler than usually, but he felt fine. Pretty good actually. He returned his attention to the odd couple in front of him." Hm, it might be a good idea to get a group together. Maybe someone else wandering around has answers. Or some food, and a base of operations might be a good idea."

.Lake. Lake's eye twitched.
Who died and put this guy in charge?!
"I...I have answers!" he bellowed, frustrated. Who did this guy think he was? "The group around here is MY group! MY group, MY food! I already have a base of operations!"
What if this idiot went off and formed his own group? What if Kira decided to join HIS group, instead?! ...What if everyone did?!
"Rrrgh..."

" I see..." He said, Riley was positive that Lake seemed unhappy that he was around. Like some kind of complex, but he wasn't going to say something like that aloud. Riley didn't see this conversation steering in a friendlier direction anytime soon. " Well then, I'm gonna go take a look around. Seeya later." He doubted this was the last he'd see of them, either way he wanted to see more of this place, maybe he'd find something they missed. He turned and went down the hall, where he turned the corner and stopped, slowly edging towards something peculiar.

ĸıɍą ☆ Ƥıēřċǝ_________________________☓☓☓Just as she'd thought, Lake didn't take this new guy's suggestions well at all. She glanced between them, half expecting a fist fight to start, at least on Lake's part, but instead the guy, Riley, simply wandered off.
"H-hey... where are you going?" Kira stammered, eyes widening a little. "Ah..." Her hand had extended toward him, but just lingered there, hovering in the air instead of actually grabbing to stop him. She was afraid that if she touched, she'd end up like that room he'd been in. Of course, that had probably happened over time, and she hadn't instantly frozen when she'd fallen on him. Well, not literally, but she was still worried.
She let out a sigh and dropped her arm, and slowly turned back toward Lake. "Where are they then? Your group? Where's this base?"
There was a momentary pause as she seemed to be considering something. Then her hand reached out, grasping for Lake's. "C'mon..." she urged, starting off after Riley again. "What if he finds something?" Being anxious to do something herself, the idea of following the one actually moving was appealing. But, she felt a little bad for Lake at the same time, getting so worked up over this newcomer. ♥ ☓ ♥

He meant to keep going, but what he saw made him stop dead in his tracks, there was a door lying in the middle of the hallway. It was black in color and from the looks of it, the hinges were melted off. Unless someone got kidnapped with a blowtorch on their person then he had no idea what could have done this. He bent down to touch it, carefully. ...It didn't feel hot, it must have been here for a while. Riley craned his head a little while bent on one knee to see into the room which, of course had nothing in it. He turned his attention back to the door. " Hmm." he mumbled, questions building up quickly. Wandering around on his own until he found better company seemed like a bad idea now. Not that Kira seemed like a bad person, but her male friend seemed like he would be hard to deal with.

.Lake. "Rrrgh..." Lake scowled as Kira tugged at him, pouting a little. "You're pretty anxious to stick with him, don't you think?!" he grumbled, sounding slightly jealous. He paused. "Th...the base was...erm...that room that we were in. The...big empty one." He stuffed his free hand in his pocket, looking awkward.
Reluctantly, he decided to indulge her urge to follow the newcomer. Shuffling behind her moodily with his hand still in Kira's, he cast one last look toward Riley's 'igloo' before turning his back on it entirely.
Tch...bet he won't find anything-,
"What the hell's that?"
He stopped as they caught up to Riley again, his crimson eyes wary as he gazed upon the broken door...then upon Riley himself.
Did he do this...?
For some reason, the scene was making the hair on the back of his neck stand up. He wasn't sure why...he couldn't put his finger on it. His eyes glanced toward the wall, which had a black color card placed on it next to where the door had been.

ĸıɍą ☆ Ƥıēřċǝ_________________________☓☓☓Kira glanced over her shoulder toward Lake, frowning lightly, but chose to swallow her words. She figured there were more important things to do than argue about who she'd rather stay with, though there really wasn't an argument to be made when she looked at it. Still, her hand tugged Lake along behind her, but as they came up toward Riley, her pace slowed and abruptly stopped about five feet away.
There, she simply stood, staring blankly down at the door with its melted hinges. She wasn't sure why, but she suddenly felt the fur on her tail beginning to stand up on end, a shudder running down her spine. Her fingers tightened around Lake's hand, and this time she was the one pressing closer to him.
"...we should move on," she said quietly, through the hand that'd risen to cover her mouth and nose. Every finger had grown a claw, except for her thumb. "It.. it smells like blood here." ♥ ☓ ♥

" Hm. Yeah, I just want to take a look first." He said, standing up slowly, then inching his way to the room, trying not to make any noise in case whomever or whatever did that to the door was inside. He made his way to the door where he leaned against the frame and poked his had in, a little, not leaving it open to potential attack, then he took the risk of checking the side he was on, as it was a blind spot. " All clear." He announced, entering the room.
The first thing he noticed was how only one wall, the left one, was torn up, and the right which had a long arcing burn on it. Like a trail of something scorched up it. Assuming that whatever was in this room was like them rest of them, not knowing where it was. It looked like it's response to this was waking up super pissed off. Not that he was in the room though, he could smell what Kira smelled too, blood and like something had been burning, probably the padded wall.

.Lake. Despite his near-constant advances, Lake seemed so taken-aback by Kira's sudden tightening hold upon his hand that he didn't even make any comments. He closed his eyes for a moment as she leaned into him, as though simply grateful, perhaps desperate, for any sort of willing human contact...he remained silent, though he gave a delayed nod at her suggestion.
"Yeah. Move on," he said finally, distracted as Riley moved not away from, but into the strange room they had just stumbled upon.
I've been here before...this is the holding cell area. Which means...
"...Somebody's woken up," he murmured, his eyes narrowing.
Or rather...someTHING has woken up...

ĸıɍą ☆ Ƥıēřċǝ_________________________☓☓☓"Hey... hey wait..!" Kira hissed out, as if afraid to raise her voice to properly cry out. The most she did beyond that to try and stop Riley was to rock forward, and then sway back into place, suddenly attached to Lake's side. She was still clutching at his hand, and her other remained tightly over her mouth and nose.
It didn't take long for her eyes to squeeze shut as well. Normally, she would've felt inclined to take a look once the all clear had been given. Instead, she stayed rooted in place.
"R-Riley..." she whined, trying again to call him back. He'd had his look, so it was time to go. The smell was getting to her. Lake's bloody shirt was old and long since dried, but this was just strong, mixing with the burned rubber to sting at her nose.
Her attention shifted, returning to Lake as she peered anxiously up at him. "I can't stay here..." she whimpered against her hand, childish as she pulled at his arm. Another ear popped up, completing the set as both flattened back against her head. It seemed like this had sparked some sort of alarm, because she suddenly moved forward, skirting quickly around the door and half skipping off down the hall in her haste. Though, her hand didn't part from Lake's, threatening to tug him along once more. ♥ ☓ ♥

.Lake. Lake quirked an eyebrow as another suspiciously cat-like ear made itself known atop Kira's head, but then drew his gaze away from it as he felt her pulling on him again.
"Hey, slow down there..."
Glancing over his shoulder back toward the room Riley was investigating, expression grim, he gave a sharp whistle to get the snowman's attention before allowing Kira to tug him back down the corridor.
"Y'know, for all you know, we could be heading in the same direction as whomever came outta that room..." he trailed off, thinking hard. "Uh...sorry," he added as an afterthought.
I'm no good at this...talking stuff.
"Wh...where do you think you're going, anyway? You smell something?" He paused. "Is it me?"

ĸıɍą ☆ Ƥıēřċǝ_________________________☓☓☓Kira seemed to be ignoring him in her urgency, except she stumbled a little as he pointed out a possibly fatal mistake. She appeared about to stop, but instead she just sniffed the air lightly, and then hurried around a corner a good ways down the hall. She could still smell the room, but it had groan faint so she decided this was good enough. She slumped against the wall, and after a little effort, slowly tugged her hand from her face, uncovering her mouth to take a clear breath.
At first her eyes remained upon the floor, staring fixedly at a spot between her feet. She didn't seem to realize her hand was still outstretched and attached to his fingers.
"I-it's not you," she choked out finally, half laughing as she glanced up at him again, caught off guard by the question. "It- That room was... I felt sick," she concluded. "Sorry..." Her cheeks had gained a faint blush again, and as she offered him a weak smile, a small fang glinted at the corner of her mouth. "I don't think it came this way... I think I'd smell it."
Finally, her hand fell away from his and instead joined her other upon her tail, trying to smooth out the irritated fur. Though, soon she paused again, staring blankly past Lake's form. "I... think I left him behind." She couldn't grab Riley because he'd already been in the room, and she had no intention of ever entering. Her.. other side reacted too strongly to blood, and she didn't want to hurt the only friendly life she'd come across. Considering she didn't know what Lake could do, she didn't want to be hurt by him either. ♥ ☓ ♥

.Lake. "Yeah. Well. S'not like he has anywhere to go." Lake rubbed the back of his head, looking a little discombobulated. He had no idea how to handle panicking women...especially ones who kept popping out cat features from various parts of their body.
"Look uhh...this place may be big, but so far, it's pretty quiet. So uh...keep your head on straight, huh?"
He shook his head. Running around in a blind panic could cause problems...there were endless, winding hallways that one could easily find themselves lost in - Lake himself had just recently memorized the route between the cells, the 'practice' room and the abandoned exercise room they had passed earlier. He had been lost in the mazes for hours before...
He sighed, returning his attention to Kira and running a hand through his hair again, perplexed as she flashed him a fang-y grin.
"L...look, make up your mind, will ya?! You gonna turn into a cat or not?!"

ĸıɍą ☆ Ƥıēřċǝ_________________________☓☓☓"I know... I'm sorry," Kira repeated again, her ears drooping. She hadn't meant to. She'd just felt something bubbling up that she desperately wanted to keep covered. She couldn't let herself lose it here. Where would they go to get away from her? Well, icy could seal them in a room... No, she'd easily gotten through that in her normal state, which, granted, was stronger than a normal scrawny girl should be.
Her already weak smile abruptly vanished at his comment, her expression suddenly stony as she stared up at him. "I'm not," she said flatly, almost grim as her demeanor completely shifted.
She straightened again, stepping from the wall she'd been leaning against, and stepped around Lake to peer back down the hallway. Hopefully Riley would catch up with them. She really hadn't meant to run away but.. she couldn't help herself, and she wasn't about to go back and get him.
"...how many people do you think there are here?" she asked quietly, peering up at Lake once more. ♥ ☓ ♥

.Lake. Lake inclined his head grimly, pausing to think.
"...Dunno," he said finally, leaning against the wall and sliding his hands into his pockets. "There could be others, far away. Who knows how big this place is? Maybe there's even different floors. More sections containing cells with sleeping people inside them, like the one you woke up in. Maybe they're lost too, and wondering the same thing about us..."
Tch. Wonder if THEY have food.
"Damn...I'm still cold. Ice-boy sure knows how to flaunt it, huh?"
