xxxxxo. Juliet .o "Yeah. You're right. Sorry sir...again..." Juliet said, hanging her head in shame before following after Darryl as he started to make his way down the hallway.
Without thinking, she was holding onto her head again, feeling more of a migraine than an earache now. Maybe she was insane. After all, she was certain sane people don't go around spewing other voices out of their mouths unless they happen to be ventriloquists. Juliet played with soccer balls, not puppets. Sure, she lowered her voice a little when she was at school (and at the moment, seeing as how she told Darryl she was a boy), but that was...
Just...not hers.
As if she didn't already have enough to worry about. Now, on top of this abnormal headache-inducing hearing, she was a parrot. A parrot with hamster hearing. A hamrot.
'Oh, that's really attractive,' She thought to herself, not paying attention to the fact that Darryl had stopped. Not that anything else was as prominent as that stupid hum of electricity from somewhere nearby. 'Isn't there some sort of volume knob somewhere? Whoever amped up my internal speakers needs to turn them do--'
She couldn't finish her thought as she had bumped into Darryl, who had stopped in his trek down the hallway for some reason. She blinked, backing up a bit and holding her nose the guy was built like a brick house! before looking up at him in question.
"Sir...?" She asked, trailing off when another voice made itself known, turning her head to see the blond source a few feet away.
'These guys must have been who I was hearing before...' She peered around Darryl to get a better look, her hand slowly dropping from the side of her head as she looked over the two other boys behind him. 'I couldn't really understand their conversation, but they don't look too bad... Maybe they're in the same situation and would be glad for some help... Or something like that.'
Or maybe one of them could jump the gun on a baseless accusation and start a chain of unnecessary events. Events that Juliet was pretty certain belonged in COMIC BOOKS and ACTION MOVIES.
At the boy's assumption, she took a small step forward, raising an eyebrow, "Er, I...think you might have the wrong idea..." She started, having no guess as to how loud her voice was at the moment as everything sounded loud.
She wasn't really thrown by the fact that he had called her a girl because she had gotten that reaction before which was both a good and bad thing. She figured she'd have time to explain to him later when he had chilled down a bit. She was more concerned over how Darryl would take the news. After her last little 'incident' with that unexplained voice spasm, she doubted that he trusted her very much.
She trailed off when she heard the taller guy behind the blond talk about her ear. Did it really look that bad? Sure, it didn't feel great, but it was nothing to be concerned about. And it seemed both he and his smaller friend heard the blond and decided that she was a girl as well. Which was, well, in all honesty, very true, but she had decided that she'd stick with her little alibi until she was sure that these people could be trusted. Besides, as sexist as the thought was, she didn't want to be considered 'the girl who couldn't fend for herself'. As stupid as it was, that was, she had learned in the past four years, how the world thought. No matter how genuine a person seemed, girls tended to be viewed as something 'to protect'. Something that 'needed saving'.
Well, Juliet had made it on her own just fine, thank you. Not every girl needed saving.
"It's okay," She tried again, putting her hands up in reassurance and unknowingly speaking too quietly for her voice to carry far, "He's not a kidnapper, he's a co--"
Too late. The tallest of the three had decided that it would be a great idea to go all 'Johnny Storm' and turn himself into the Human Torch!
If this guy wanted to practice self combustion he could do it on his own time!
"Wha--Woah!" She let out a small yelp of surprise, unconsciously grabbing onto the back of Darryl's coat in an attempt at pulling him back and failing miserably.
The only thing she managed to do was fall back on her rump as he moved out of the way before getting into some sort of boxing position. Her vision was temporarily blocked by the badge that had connected with her face before she was able to see the two larger men again. Okay, maybe she had supersonic hearing and maybe she had suddenly become some sort of tape recorder, but this was...it wasn't normal!
'Maybe I really have gone off my nut,' She thought with wide eyes, staring past Darryl to the boy that was currently ON FIRE, '...Whatever the case...'
She trailed off and looked back at the other two, hoping that they were as stunned by this as she was. Maybe they could control their overheated friend before this escalated into something worse. The crackle of fire was close to a near roar, and Juliet edged back in order to avoid any further punches.
"H-Hold on..." She tried after she had shaken off her initial shock, looking to the other two (particularly the blond because he started this mess) with a face of utter anxiety.

[ ooc: Family Feud: Name a Country that has good Athletes. Me: JAPAN, THEY HAVE EFFING NINJA'S. The teams: *GUESS EVERYTHING BUT JAPAN D< * && Poor Juliet...and her poor ears. D';] Ⱦhe blond stared blandly at the somewhat antisocial guy who was speaking to him. Fine. Call him crazy. He was so going to 'told you so' this guy, and prove to him that he wasn't crazy Then again...didn't crazy people try to prove they weren't crazy? "Fiiiine. I'm not going to try to persuade you to change your beliefs. So long as you don't suddenly abandon me or...beat me or kill me, I can handle the accusations...I think," the later statement was followed by a frown before he shrugged it off. He had better things to worry about, right now, such as the BULLDOZER that appeared.
Jayden stared at the large man with a serious expression. He just couldn't accept the fact that some large guy was picking on someone smaller than himself. Absolutely disgusting, truth be told. It didn't help that the big guy reached into his pocket to pull out something. Oh, it got his attention alright. Jayden didn't assume badge when the guy pulled it out. There was a specific three letter word that immediately went to his mind, causing his eyes to widen in surprise.
GUN.
Oh s**t, apparently, this guy wasn't afraid to attack kids, either.
Thankfully, Talon was fast on his feet and sure of his movements. It still came as a surprise to see flames light on the guys wrist, but hey...better that guy than him, right? Jayden had already experienced first hand (...ha ha...hand...flaming firsts. GET IT?!) what it was like to be up against those flames. It wasn't as scary knowing the guy was on his side. He glanced over at Maxxi as he heard the other speak. "That'll mean we have even more to take care of, huh?" It was Talon's comment that brought Jayden back to the matter at hand. The...big matter.
The object flew out of Jayden's line of vision, not letting him get a clear view. Now that the gun (or what he assumed was a gun) was out of the equation. Jayden could lay punches, but it'd be better if Talon dealt with it (that, and Jayden didn't want to get in the way somehow and get landed with a fiery punch) so he sped ahead and went over to the girl who had fallen over in surprise. He had seen her muttering to herself (probably from fright, more than likely...poor girl) in fear (JUST LOOK AT HER EXPRESSION! ) and he knew he needed to get to her soon. With his quick feet he moved around the two, being careful to move avoid any punches or kicks, and slid to the girls side.
Hearing her comment he shook his head and slid his arms under her arms so that he could drag her away from the fight. "No time right now," he told her, sliding her back. Of course...it all ended soon enough when his foot hit something. Glancing back, he stopped, staring at the gleaming badge staring at him. Mocking him. He had seen a bade like this many times around his home. Slowly, Jayden looked down to the girl, noticing her...different facial features and...complete lack of chest. He let go of her quickly, his face beet red. "YOU'RE A GUY!"
Of course, this was only one of two realizations as he looked back at the badge before at Talon. "DUDE, STOP! YOU'RE GONNA BURN DOWN THE POPO." Oh god...oh god. If his dad found out he accused a cop of kidnapping someone and that he instigated a fight, he would never see the light of day as long as he lived. Hopefully this guy didn't know his dad. There were a lot of cops...glancing over at the boy to offer an apology, the sight of a thick red substance wiped away the apology. "You are bleeding...you okay, dude?" asked the blond, holding out his hand to help the guy up.

" Yes, well, you'd want to know until it's eating your legs or something." He wasn't sure why he specifically chose that example, but was sure that wasn't happening around here somewhere. It was just that he was positive that thing was dangerous, it tried to grab him and everything. " knowing what it is means getting up close to it, and when it got up close to me it tried to grab me with it's claws." he explained, his accent slurring 'claws'. " And I'm sorry again, sorry, That thing was bad news, and I saw you, and I didn't want it to get you."Which, from the sound of it he succeeded. no scratching noises whatsoever.

Robin blinked, ducking back down again as she focused fully upon the guy she'd suddenly found herself with. His hair was long. She noticed that first. Then the accent appeared as he spoke, and she frowned, keeping her arms almost grumpily crossed. "I think I could've decided that for myself," she mumbled, not a fan of being in the damsel in distress position. She really wanted to know what it was, and now it sounded like it was gone.
Then something caught her eye. "...hey, wait a second!" Her hand reached out, abruptly brushing against the side of the man's head, then quickly withdrew again. A second later, she was tugging lightly upon his pointed ear. "What is this?!"

" What's what? My ear?" What was up with this girl? First she wanted to get a look at a dangerous creature, and now she didn't know what ears were. Though Hain realized after a second he was being thick and it was bit more understandable. " Oh yes, you've never met an elf before I take it? I suppose we're not all that common where your from." He'd met with many humans before, some didn't really notice until he'd pointed it out to them. It was a rare occurrence that he'd met one of his own though. So he guessed that most humans were mostly only used to their own kind. That aside, it seemed they were safe in what looked like some kind of lounge area, he'd like to get up and look around, but this girl had quite a hold on his ear.

Robin frowned, giving a firm nod in his direction as he confirmed that it was, in fact, his ear she was startled by. She waited silently for an explanation, and once he gave it, she couldn't help giving another soft tug of it, just to make sure it was real and he wasn't trying to trick her. At least she was being gentle. "...no, I haven't met an... an elf before."
Her frown deepened a little, but she slowly let go and rose to her feet after glancing toward the doorway. Everything seemed clear at the moment. She brushed out her skirt, making sure it was properly in place, and then returned her attention to the strange man, who was apparently an elf.
"...what the hell kinda place is this?" she blurted out a second later, folding her arms again. "Ceiling crawlers? Elves? Wh.. what is going on?!"

She brushed off her robes with an elegant hand, gazing sternly across at him. "I am Jihara Fairchild. That is the revelation of my identity."
Fairchild...a human name. One unecessary and peculiar for someone like Jiji. And yet, she would sooner die than rid herself of such a title.

♦ Raziel Raziel, still shaking slightly, slid down the wall until he was curled up in a ball next to the bed. "Um.....I-I-I'm Raziel." He wiped his tear with the back of his blue thermal and settled himself down a little. He tried to be polite to this apparently very elegant woman.
"S-sorry. I just...I don't spend time around people. They always..." Raziel's voice trailed off. He didn't want to go there. To the dark spots of his mind. To the hate, and violence, and anger. He hung his head low and rested it on his knees. He wanted to cry again. What happened to the city? The metal and concrete city that he loved...He felt like he abandoned her. He abandoned the only thing he really loved. He had to get out of here.

♦ Raziel Raziel sniffled for a second and obliged, straining his weak legs to stand. He moved, still along the wall, closer to Jihara. "W-Where do you want to go? How long have you been here?" Raziel was still very curious of this place. He stayed along the length of the wall all the way to the door and grabbed a hold of the cold, steel door handle. He hadn't seen the outside of these rooms very well and peeked outside again. "You said that there were others in here? D-Dya know why we're here?"

Rāyen Avitarias. Demon. Child of the sun. Mischievous wrong-doer. Prankster. The best of the best. Always with the upper hand.
...until today.
"Huh.. urf-!"
The teen jerked up, golden eyes growing wide as he stared around himself, body already lurched into a crouched position. He tensed at first, rigid as he stared around, eying the place for any signs of danger. After a moment, he realized the worst he had to fear here was a dirty floor, and let himself relax again, a smile coming to his features. "Well, Luna, looks like someone fina- ...Luna?" He paused, the alarm returning as he stared around himself, his body rising fully to its feet as he whirled in a quick circle. 365 degrees, and Luna was nowhere to be found.
"...hey, this isn't funny. You're behind this, aren't you Luna? Geeze, pretty elaborate though. I mean... where'd you find this place? Kinda mean of you not to include me though." He pouted childishly, talking to the empty room as he stared around, looking for some sort of camera. Or maybe she'd set creatures free in here to test him. She'd been known to do things of that magnitude before, but this was the best prank she'd ever conducted! He really did wish she'd let him in on it, instead of placed him inside it.
"Okay, okay, you're the best. Let me out now, okay?"
Ray waited, staring fixedly at the wall as he waited for some type of response. When none came, he huffed out a sigh and rolled his shoulders, letting them crack, before raising his hands in a boxer's stance. "Right then. Guess I'll have to bust a way out myself!"
Grinning, and revealing lengthened canine teeth, the young demon made his way out of the room, surprised to see that the door was open and didn't require busting at all.

It is not often that I keep track of time in this world, and now more than ever, I find that I have no concept of how long this place has kept me." She tossed her head, looking toward the door. "I sense the presence of others, yes...but I do not know who, or what. Undoubtedly they are here to reasons similar to our own. What those reasons may be, however..." She shook her head a little. "I regret, I do not know. But perhaps, young man...that is a choice you need to make for yourself. The reality stands - you are here. ♦ Raziel "You are here..." Raziel muttered back silently. The words continued to ring and echo in his head. He tried hard to push back a wall of tears the were welling up in his eyes. He was successful, but it burned. "I...I just want to go home. I wan't to be out of here. A small part of me knows that this place...it won't be easy."
What Raziel said next startled him. "C-c-can you help me?" He head dropped down and he stared at the ground, almost expecting a rejection. She was much wiser than him. Raziel knew he would be nothing more than dead weight. It was no different than during gym class where nobody had to say anything. He knew that he'd be last. He just sat against the wall waiting for the kids to finish calling names for dodgeball or some other game.

"I don't know!" He replied, blurting as well. He wished that he did, he truly did. Because then maybe this would be less of a nightmare, like, a real actual nightmare. " I was hoping that this was just some sort of nightmare!" He continued, standing on his own two feet and wiping off his knees as he did. The fact that she was having a small fit wasn't helping, but he could understand her frustration, as they were the same ones he had. He thought that her not having met an elf was odd, he'd met plenty of humans before. Regardless, they seemed to be in the same boat. " I'd like to give you answers, but I don't have them."

Robin's lips parted to shout back again, but she paused, catching herself, and let her mouth fall closed. She stood there in silence, staring around the lounge-like room with a growing sense of irritation. "..ugh," she grunted after a pause, and dropped her arms back by her sides, marching quickly back to the doorway. She peeked out, staring side to side, then up toward the ceiling, before stepping out. "Well... I don't know about you, but I'm not just gonna sit here and wait for the answers to hit me in the face." She glanced back toward the elf, then scowled and stomped her way down a hallway.
