He staid back in the dark shadows so they still couldn't really see who it was but could see his movements. *looks back* Hm...bring yourself into the light so the girl can see you... "She should already know who I am. I am the one always protecting her, but I want to make sure the little human girl stays safe." He said, again sounding protective. Her eyes widened in shock and she backed up a little more. Hm...so you are her guardian then eh? Your aura seems troubled boy... His eyes flashed red but didn't go back to his normal color, they stayed red. "It is only becuase she is troubled." He answered. He got ready to remark on being her guardian when she stepped between the two guys looking at the one hiding in the shadows. "He isn't my guardian, he's myh brother and I know what you're thinking cam and if you try to hurt him I will hate you, understand." She said in a calm but shaky, soft voice. Hm...what is your name boy? "My name is Cameron." He said still staring at Caius with his red eyes. Karen stared at her brother. "Why not sis? It's not like he is someone who has protected you since you were born or even someone you have known for more than a day now is he?" He said to his sister. His eyes never left Caius.

Cam was a little shocked when Karen talked. She was softer in her words then she usually was. "I'm not a vampire and never will be. Not to mention I am nothing but a big clutz." She said even softer than before. Cam felt a little ashamed by the way he was acting but didn't show it. "And not a single woman in our family on both sides has ever become one. They seem immune to the venom even when bitten by a full blood vampire, even our dad knew that. No matter how much of a jerk he was to Karen when he was alive." Cam said to Caius. Karen felt a little ashamed and embarrassed by the small fact.

"Ya so why don't you just leave us alone."Cam said stifly. He didn't like the way Caius just came in and tried to take over helping his sister. "Cam, calm down. You're getting overly zelous." She said to him. "Ya, it's kinda weird. We have no idea why but it's true. Supposedly only the closest family member to the woman can but no one ever wants to try it or risk the slow death that ends up happening instead." She shuddered at the thought. "Mom thinks me and Cam might be able to because we are the closest of siblings on either side of family histories but Cam doesn't want to try." She glanced at Cam who crossed his arms and lifted his head.
