Silvercloud shook her head, confused. She didn't understand how Dewwhisper felt, because she never did like any cat.

Cloudheart was relaxing by the seeing pool, watching his kin. He saw Pebblestar heave a heavy sigh and he felt kind of sorry for her. She was a fun-loving loyal cat, not one to be burdened with the responsibility of being leader. She could never truly be happy being a leader.

Jaypaw sat down. She peered down at her former clan. She saw everyone. Stormflight sleeping, Pebblestar sulking, Darkpaw eating, and Redtail pacing around. She was really beginning to miss TwilightClan. But since now that Fletcher killed her, she would never be able to speak to her mentor, nor her sister ever again. She would never get a warrior name, either. A new feeling surged through Jaypaw. It was a mix of pity, saddness, hatred, and hope. She could bring justice to her death! She could give hints to Stormflight about the whoabouts of her killer.

"Are you planning on speaking with your former mentor?" Watersong asked coming up behind Jaypaw.

Jaypaw looked up at Watersong. "It's a possibility." She meowed. She shuffled her paws against the hard ground and looked back down.

"You'll need help and permission to do that one. It's not the place of StarClan to just drop hints about anything." He meowed.

Jaypaw looked down. "Well, I don't know." She meowed. "I may not go after all. Like you said, I shouldn't interfere." She began to groom herself. "Stormflight needs to get on with her life anyway. What's done is done. I can't change what happened anyway."

Watersong blinked in understanding. "You know, when I was still in the forest there was a murderer on the loose. I wasn't his first victim, but we didn't know who was killing cats when I was killed. When I came to StarClan and found out, I was so furious, I wanted tell Firestar right away through any means necessary, but I had to let it go. You're a wise apprentice Jaypaw." He meowed.

Redfeather and Pineclaw stood. "What are the rules of being a StarClan cat?" Pineclaw asked.

Jaypaw nodded a thank you to the wise StarClanner. She continued to groom her pelt.

"The rules of StarClan are simple," A bright ginger tom meowed coming to stand beside the cat. His orange eyes looked at Pineclaw, "It's almost like a game if you will. We can't tell what the entire group does not think is wise and that basically limits it to things that could kill countless cats and swell our ranks beyond what we're prepared for."
Overhearing the conversation, Watersong bounded over to them. "I knew you'd show up sometime no matter how much you said you hated it. Firestar, being in StarClan isn't a game we play with cats lives! That's our kin down there, and our clan-mates!"
"Yeah, yeah, don't get your tail in a knot Watersong, I'm just explaining it in the simplest way," Firestar meowed.
"That was a cruel way and you know it!" Watersong hissed.
"Well then maybe we should stop being so cruel!" Firestar shot back before storming away.
Watersong let out a long sigh, and looked at Pineclaw, "Sorry about that."

Pineclaw and Redfeather chuckled. "It's fine. We should be more aware of the cats down in the territories. And what we know, we should tell them." Redfeather spoke up. "Redbadger and Wolfheart are losing faith in StarClan. They are worried StarClan has turned their backs on them. Leaf-bare is harsh and green-leaf makes prey scarce and water hard." Pineclaw meowed. They looked at each other and then at the pool next to them. "I just want them to be safe and healthy." Redfeather sighed.

"We can't make them have faith. We can only let them find their own path and hope that their clan-mates can help." Watersong meowed.

"I know." Redfeaher sighed. Pineclaw touched her ear with his nose.

Watersong looked away, spotting Dewwhisper attempting to talk to Cloudheart again. That poor she-cat wasn't making much progress with the oblivious tom, but he couldn't help cheering her on all the same.
