He caught up to her and gathered her in a hug. "Caught you, beloved." he blinked as inspiration hit him. "Want to see some magic?"

"Magic!" she squealed as she clapped her hooves before starting to sing, "It's magic don't you kno-oo-ow..."

He chuckled and started working, making a vine float up before her, dancing, hoping the motion would keep her attention while he wound his magic into it.

She gasped and giggled, trying to catch the vine, batting at it like a kitten.

Thankfully, dancing it this way and that took little focus and less effort. He spent that effort imbuing the vine with his power, connecting it to himself so he could track it anywhere. sweat beaded his forehead. Easy this was not. He shook as he worked. Finally it was done, but there was still one more part. By now the vine was throbbing a faint indigo with blue flashes. Quite pretty, though he was too spent to appreciate the effect. "Do you like it?" he asked, tired.

He burst out, laughing. She was truly delightful. He used the extra energy to float it to her, wrapping it around her leg delicately like an ornamentation. Some more magic to ensure it wouldn't come off....and then... he fell to his side. He had enough energy to get under shade.

She squealed as she fell with him since he was holding her at the time. She blinked and looked around. "The world looks so biiiiig!"
