"Yes work... the thing i keep you around for," Pride said with a small grin, "C'mon orders from HIS hand." Pride's eyes flickered a bit as he prepared himself to leave his mansion. He walked outside of the darkened mansion and whistled loudly.

An elusive shadow loomed overhead as Pride waited patiently. The black figure began to drift gently towards Pride, and slowly it began to fall more heavily as it approached ground level. The beast crashed onto the ground as it landed. "What a clumsy bird, "Pride said as he climbed aboard the raven-like creature, "I can't recall, can you fly?"

Pride scoffed a bit. He knew his slave was always defiant to his orders, but he had hoped over time it would lessen. "Fine stay here if you like. It's an easy job of soul collecting," Pride said with a small brim of disappointment in his voice.

"It's not for death," Pride said with a small grin, "It's to take one's sins away from them." Pride sighed a little. He remebered his last encounter with Satine's mother. "C'mon i'll show you what i mean," Pride said finally as he ordered the raven-like beast to take flight.

"So you can fly, "Pride said with a small laugh, "I knew i saw something in you some 12 years ago." Pride laughed manically as he soared through the air. A faint scent caught his attention as he drifted towards its direction. "This way, i smell someone's deep dark secret," Pride said with a sneer. Soaring overhead of a city, Pride loomed over and landed, surprisingly softly as the raven-like creature disappeared.

Pride frowned at Satine's laughter. "What's so funny?" Pride demanded. He followed the pressence towards the back alley of the building. "Well, wait and see," Pride whispered. Pride hid amoung the shadows as he found the couple he sought.

A man and a young female were arguing in the darkness. "You see this! This is what i get for trying to help useless people like you survive!" The man shouted as he pointed at his deformed arm. In anger, he smacked the female across the face as she tried to talk back. The man began beating on her with punches and kicks as she lay bleeding on the cold concrete floor. "Trash like you should stay where they belong!" The man shouted again, "Know your place!"

Pride licked his lips as he felt the sin of his birthrate rise from the man. "Yes... this is why i was born," Pride said happily, "Few more minutes and he'll be ripe for the taking."

Pride smiled a bit as Satine whispered this. "Oh-ho, dont' tell me you have feelings for the woman," Pride said, "Trash deserves to stay down. That is why i was created." Pride got out from the shadows and loomed over the back of the man. With not so much as a horrid, muffled scream, Pride quickly devoured the man in the blink of an eye. The swish of his cape seemed to just flicker like wings as the man disappeared. "My... his sins were delisious...," Pride said licking his lips, "Now the question is what to do with you." Pride pointed one long claw-like finger towards the beaten woman. She was scared and fraile as she hide in the corner of the alleyway, shivering.

"Feh, what? you want to protect her?" Pride scoffed at Satine. He turned away slightly and crossed his arms. "I dont' see why we should, she's nothing more than dirt, "Pride said harshly, "Useless..." Pride turned his head and closed his eyes in disappointment.
