"Don't you get it!? This is either going to be my final transformation, or these will be my final moments! I can't gain control over Hojo's experiments anymore... I'm nothing but a monster, Hojo succeeded in his goal!" Blaze shouted back to her. His Mako eyes were filled with sadness and fear... his emotions beginning to return, though they came too late.

"Descend..." a monotonous voice rang out. The scarlet-locked man looked about him, trying to find the source of the voice. His gaze met the form of Sephiroth hovering in the air with his black angel wing behind him. His body was spinning slowly as he ascended through the air. "Heartless Angel."

Blaze's wings retracted as he felt the energy drain from his body as an effect of the spell. His form plummeted towards the ground, only to be caught by Sephiroth, who had swooped down to catch him. "Wh... why that spell?"

"I just thought of it. Heartless Angel drains your magic to nothing and leaves you in a critical state... but it would cancel out the transformation while we begin working on restoring your emotions. You will be healed, don't worry," Sephiroth explained. A stoic expression formed on his face as Blaze fell unconscious. Placing the prone form over his shoulder, he began to walk towards Bella.

"Anti-climactic, I know, but it served its purpose," he mused.

Sephiroth laughed, amused. "Uh, Bella... he's unconscious. I don't think he can hear you."

"Of course, though I think we should return Blaze to the others. I wonder what their reaction will be when they see him like this, however," Sephiroth stated. Feathers began to fall from his wing as he walked at Bella's side toward the 7th Heaven bar.

"He was beginning to lose control. Luckily he fainted before the transformation could finish," Sephiroth added to the lie. As Sephiroth laid the man on a bed in a separate room, his gaze turned to Bella and the others. "I'm sure you know that Bella's holding a charity concert to fund the WRO's research into a plethora of Hojo's experiments.

"Perhaps that money could help Blaze gain mastery over Hojo's ministrations, and recover his emotions," he finished.

"Yes, that's all I want," Sephiroth stated. His eys locked onto the blade of Masamune, a sinking feeling in his heart as he thought back to all the lives that sword had taken. The most prominent of them, of course, was Aerith.

"Fate is cruel... before my insanity I allowed Zack to return to Midgar to protect Aerith from the Genesis clones. And then I end up being the one to end her life," Sephiroth stated in a melancholy tone.

"I refuse to take up that accursed blade again," Sephiroth curtly remarked. His honed sense of hearing caused his head to turn to his right side as he heard Blaze breathing the way he would if he was conscious. "How long have you been awake?"

"Long enough..." Blaze responded. He walked over to the taller man, fire in his eyes. "Not taking Masamune could be your undoing. There are certain to be many who hold a grudge against you. Without Masamune, you'll be forced to rely on Materia magic. If you have no Materia, you'll be defenseless."
