((just a friendly reminder to keep these posts in third person, not first))
Shadow had led the group up to the gates of the keep, where they were stopped by guards who, upon recognizing the markings on each asassin's sleeves, both unsheathed their swords.
"Wait." Shadow said in a completely calm voice, with not the slightest bit of concern or anxiety wavering his tone. From inside his cloak he produced a piece of paper that none of the other asassins had seen before, and handed it to the guards. "His Majesty instructed me to show you this." He said, his words slightly muffled from the dark scarf that wrapped around his mouth before disappearing below his collar. Every asassin had one just as an extra precaution for keeping identity secret in the case that one's hood was removed by force or other.
The guards looked at the paper, read it once, then twice and a third time. They turned their backs on the group and talked in low voices, before calling up to the guard manning the gate. With a loud creak the wooden gates opened and a man came from within the keep, waving the group inside. They were left alone in a large room lit by a warm fire, and the asassins took their seats in large chairs as they waited for the king to come.

"..........." Eagle said nothing as he waited alongside the others. along the way he memorized all of the passageways they took to get here, in case they ever needed an escape route.

The king arrives, looking somewhat nervous, and after a brief set of bows and introductions, they get down to business. The king is facing Shadow as he talks.
"As you are seemingly aware this war that has been going on the past few years is steadily getting worse. My men are dying faster than we can find replacements and all the villages and towns outside of the city are being burned. But that is the least of my problems. My son had gone hunting not a few days ago and he never returned. A messenger came to me not long after he disappeared to tell me that he has been captured and taken to a fort the enemy has set up a fort roughly a day and a half's ride out of the city." He sighs, pressing his fingers against his forhead.
"Every man that I have sent out has been killed. You are the masters of stealth are you not?That is why I need you. However, some others are also needed to help with the battle going on just outside of the city. It is where we need protection the most, and without your aid the city will be breached. Shadow I would like you to gather a group of your asassins to save my son, however I would like you and the remaining ones to fight with the other soldiers outside of the city." Shadow nods. He turns to Cobra.
"You will lead your group to the fort, understood?" Cobra nods, then turns to the asassins. "Who's coming with me?"
((no more than half to each group, and say whether you want to go with Cobra or Shadow, and even though rescuing the prince sounds more interesting I will have somthing happen over on Shadow's end too. It's all planned out, okay?))

"I shall aid in rescuing the prince" Eagle said briefly and then went silent again, awaiting further orders.

((as of now anything in dark red is Shadow's group and anything in dark purple is Cobra's group))
"Alright then, you guys with me." Cobra walked out crooking her fingers to get the others to follow. When the light of the afternoon sun fell upon them as they left the keep, Cobra stopped and pulled out a letter that the king had given her. "If we walk quickly and don't take any breaks we should get there by nightfall, if what the king's instructions he gave me are true." she told them. "So lets get going." She led them down a side alley to the little-used Northwest gate and out into the woods beyond.
Shadow looked at the remaining asassins and walked out as he always did-without a word or any motion-and headed out towards the North Gate where most of the fighting was happening. As they stepped through Shadow reached down the back of his hood and pulled out his long weapon-miraculously leaving his hood unmoved-as a message for the rest to do the same. As the sound of battle drew nearer Shadow started running. Without even so much as a sound he slashed open an enemy's back and the fighting began.
((instructions: Shadow's group: describe your own battles for now, I have something planned but I'm tired of narrating all this stuff so now its your turn for using your imaginations....just don't make anyone go anywhere or significantly change the plot please.....
Cobra's group: again, I'm tired of narrating so you people choose what happens while we're in the woods. I'll take over when the fort appears....but for now someone think of a mini-story to happen okay? thanks wink ))

"I don't know what it is about the woods, maybe the fresh air, or the many shadows, or maybe the sounds of weak animals scurrying in fear. What was I saying.... whatever I like it here." said Silent... silently. (Two drums & a symbol fall off a cliff, Dumm dumm tishhhhh)
