The creature after it's last successful attack didn't expect such a quick counterattack and Jakob's mace connected before it even knew what happened.

(My apologies, I've been extraordinarily busy lately. Life has been awful hectic. Alos, your roll actually WAS a crit. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you rolled at least a 2 on your second dice to streamline a little bit, since it seems fairly likely.)
The Locathah hadn't even begun to expect a counter attack from the little one it had just stabbed and immediately crumpled from the force of the blow, beginning to bleed out from the abrasions of the mace. One down, two to go, and one of the fish creatures was in bad condition...
(It is Jin and Mareak's turn.)

Jin felt like he had been waiting for a time to attack for too long. Seeing a Locathah had fallen from a combination of attacks he was grateful fate had made their deadly play in their favor. The monk's eyes quickly reverted back to his old target, the leader was wounded from his last attack and the bolt protruding from his body. Jin did not look into his eyes, the leader would die soon. No need to prolong it's suffering from peace.
"Disturbing Emptiness!" The monk jumped high into the air, normally this attack had a few knees attached to it but he decided since his enemy was prone to not waste time and energy. Coming down with extreme force his hand made a dragon like claw hoping to bring it down directly onto it's heart and finish it.

The blow landed, Jin felt his clawed hand land directly onto the thing's ribs feeling a hollow pop. He was pretty sure the force and snap behind this attack would stop the heart it had landed on. Jin bent his leg to fall farther and dig his fingers into the skin farther. It felt sickening under his fingers but this did not stop the monk, his mentality showed in his eyes as he released his energy in a small grunt.

As Jin aimed his fist at the leader, Mareak loaded another bolt to his weapon and took aim at the creature that was, even now regaining some of its senses. The shot failed to connect as the previous one had, instead embedding itself in the side of the boat.

This was plain out awful. The ambush was not going nearly as expected, one of his fellows had fallen, and their leader was barely conscious, the last blow of the monk taking him nearly to the edge. Surely, their leader was strong, but they were no match for the party of people before them. Without a second thought about it, the Locathah turned to leap over the edge of the boat.
(Jin and Camlin can both make attacks of opportunity against him as he flees, and after that is Camlin's turn.)

Jin felt his opportunity to attack. Seeing the Fleeing Locathah he knew it would possibly tell others. The leader was near death, Jin was saddened his attack had not made it's heart stop. Jin wanted to end it's suffering but it instead chose to grasp at life.
Jin shook his head and lept for the living fish man. Avoiding being pierced by a poorly aimed bolt he flipped his body quickly, in hopes he would bring his ankle down hard on the spine or head of him and stop him from moving just as he had their leader. "Pearl smashing kick!" This fight was looking up for them, even if he missed he knew the Locathah would probably be too scared then to mess with these adventurers again.

Jin felt his ankle land hard on the fish man, the solid blow cushioned Jin as well as his arms so he didn't fall flat on his back. His muscles didn't tense at all except for the leg he was bringing down.
Jin was starting to feel beads of sweat get trapped in his jet black hair. Things were starting to get heated. Jin was glad the focus of their attacks had mostly been on him and Jakob, though the nasty wound on Jakob would need to be treated. Jin's mind didn't wander from the fight too long, he didn't want to lose focus on his skills. The monk started to get up quick, swinging his legs then back quickly using the momentum to pick him up.

((so, in a sense, I just earned two attacks back to back....sweet XD))
Camlin was quick to try and intercept the fishman as he fled, though Jin was slightly quicker. He always had wondered why most monks felt the urge to shout out their attack names before actually attacking. He'd have to ask later; dispatching their attackers came first. With one already down, and another following shortly, this one became top priority.

Sadly, his priority slipped away by a hair's breath from his blade, diving into the water from which it came, barely injured at that. Hopefully, though, without it's leader or other party member, it would tell of powerful warriors others like itself wouldn't dare try and challenge again.
Turning himself away from watching the fleeing Locathah, he made his way towards the leader, hoping to finish this here and now.

And so he struck, plunging his rapier into the beast that laid before him. His weapon had not failed him, striking what was certain to be a killing blow against the beast. "Rest easy, misguided one. You'll soon find yourself in the arms of the beyond," he told the creature as he withdrew his blade from its body, dipping it into the water to wash away the blood that had gathered onto it before drying and sheathing it again.

And with that, the remaining Locathah on the boat were taken down, and the third was long gone in the water. While the two creatures were still technically alive, they were quickly bleeding to death, leaving the party to discuss their immediate future.
"Oh wow... That was amazing, you guys! I was a little bit worried at first, but you sure took care of them. Those guys have been getting a little bit of a reputation attacking fishermen as well, but nowhere near as frequent as those hobgoblins. I really didn't expect that we'd be attacked by them as well." The fisherman confided this to the adventurers.

After the final Locathah was dispatched from the boat Jakob dropped his mace and stumbled over to one of the benches in the back of the boat. He grimmaced as the adrenaline slowly faded from his body and the real pain of his wound began to emerge. After sitting down he carefully he removed the straps of his leather armor and pulled it off allowing him to breath better. "Does anyone here know how to properly dress a wound?" he asked pressing down on the wound to stop the bleeding.

Jin took his time as the world around him became much calmer. Not fighting anymore his eyes changed from having it's piercing combatant look. Turning around he saw the halfling in their rag tag team who had been hurt in the fight by a nasty trident. His question was simple, Jin walked over and crouched down se he was eye level with the short one. "This one should be able to help." He spoke his voice calmed all over again.
Back in the monestary he grew up in Jin and every other student had at least gotten hurt once. Masters usually were able to help and teach the kids how to properly heal themselves or they would have to try at it themselves. Jin began to remember the last time he had gotten a nasty gash and began to try and apply the same principals.
