Vincent watched the departing car with a wishful longing. He wished, indeed he did. He wished he'd had a better childhood. He wished he had more self esteem. He wished he could lie down and sleep. But most of all, he wished the car would come back and take him home. Home, a safe haven where he could break down all his troubles and worries, embrace him with open arms.

Snapping back to reality, he slowly accepted the truth as he looked to the looming doors in front of him. Vincent takes the suitcases, slightly straggling under the weight, and slowly made his reluctant way up the entrance. Entering, he scans the perimeter and spies the friendly-looking secretary* and walks over.

"Um, h-hello, miss. I'm the new s-student, Vincent F-Fortescue," he stutters nervously. Some casual conversation later, Vincent trudges up to his room (third floor?) with a small handbook about the school in one hand, suitcase in the other and keys in his pocket. Stopping in front of room 610, he takes a big breathe and walks in.

Flopping down on the vacant bed, Vincent felt like his his energy had been sapped out of him. This is it, after all, his new life. A long hard struggle in his toddlerhood, unfamiliarity during his childhood, now a struggling teen trying to adjust. He admits it, he loathes change, but he is scared, alone in this big, bad world. There is only himself, no mother, no siblings, no friends. Sobbing miserably, Vincent falls into a restless sleep with tears still streaking down his face with only the companionship of nightmares.

*I would think there's someone at the front desk.

[[My God... how do you people manage to write some much? I stuggled just to write that tiny thing.*green with envy* And sorry if it's crappy; I spent my time trying to find a respectable RP guild instead of practicing. It might sound weird too. I'm a past-tense n00b. Vinnie is gorgeous. He pwns chuu all. And this rp needs a badboy uke... *works on new character*]]

Emery Alexandria opened the door of the taxi to get out, staying in the car to make sure no one would pay attention to him before pulling up his hood and fingering his already unruly blonde hair into his eyes. He didn't want to be seen. Just not yet--maybe not ever. But that wasn't realistic. Everyone had to be seen at some point.

He checked himself in at the front desk and took his luggages upstairs to his room. His baggages only consisted of one duffel bag and a very large jumbo suitcase that he was only slightly struggling with--at least that's what he told himself to prevent himself feeling like a fool. His golden blonde hair already clashed with the indigo hoodie and dark jeans. He didn't need to add red to the mix.

He had to admit, he didn't exactly get the best view of the campus from his "oh god please don't look at me" stance, but from what he did see as he approached his room, it was apparently very nice. It wasn't totally homey--only a few holes in the wall and irremovable paintball splatters could do that--but it didn't have that totally intimidating feeling about it. It felt open. Like he could be open--which made sense. He didn't have to hide anymore, and that in itself was a great relief.

Without thinking, he lowered his hood and pushed open the door to room 411, not really expecting anybody else to be there.

What he saw wasn't exactly a walking orgasm, but his roomate was pretty darn cute. This boy seemed... different... from all the boys in LA. He seemed nicer. Emery reddened a little at his thoughts and decided to go for a more platonic and civil approach. He looked at the plaque that graced both sides of the door. Ryo Maoi, that's a pretty name.

"Um... h-ey," his voice cracked a little and he mentally castigated himself. Puberty could be such the b***h. He breathed a bit to calm down and got himself together. "Y-you must be Ryo."

Sort of.

He subconsciously twirled his hair around his fingers in his nervousness. "I'm Emery. And I guess I'm your roommate...So, uh, hi." He turned even redder, and decided he was never going to wear anything that clashed with red again.

He was such the idiot.

Ryo sat up as he noticed someone enter the room. He wasn't the most attractive person ever, but he was one of the cutest guys Ryo had ever seen.

Ryo pushed back a few loose strands of his chestnut, or at least what he, his brother, and his mom called chestnut, hair and smiled.

"Hi"

He got up off of the bed and casually walked over, mainly to get a better view of the small boy.

"Nice to meet you"

He held his hand out to shake and got a better look at Emery. He was really cute, golden hair, about two or three inches shorter then himself, and he did have a very beautiful face.

It was just then that he realized the blush that had spread on Emery's face. All it really did was make him look even cuter, which in turn made Ryo blush slightly.

((Dowandowan! [/sound of excitement] x3 S'good to see so many new people!

Anyway, Saishi, it's hard when you start writing length [because, believe me, I don't always pop out those things; it's people like USin who post beautiful loveliness that make me dooo eeeeeet] but once you get used to it, it's not so bad. It just means that you post more detail and make things... flow more. Like, instead of things happening suddenly, you describe the emotions/whatnot that lead up to the action. It makes it longeeeeeer. 8D;;; Soyah, that's pretty much it~!))

"I'm so glad you agree," Salem replied. He loved playing these sort of games, but it was so much more enjoyable when the opponent played back; flirting is always better when it's dealt both ways. Sometimes, however, it was easy to get in over ones head. Salem faltered as he reached for the pop tab with his free hand, gently trying to pry it up with his middle finger; the sudden, seemingly innocent toss of the other teen's head had caught him momentarily off guard. Although it wasn't hanging down to his waist, he couldn't dislodge the image of smooth, black water from his mind as he watched the hair fall and sway, perfectly framing the boy's face. Nobody in their right mind could ignore that! No one with a libido anyway.

Salem cleared his voice, a little more awkward then he was used to hearing from himself ( him embarrassed? That was just unnatural! ), and tried to ignore how warm his cheeks suddenly felt. The can hissed as it's seal was broken. He spent a little more time then necessary flattening the tab back down, stalling for enough time to recollect his thoughts before proceeding any further. Still the moment was brief, but at least it was enough to give him back some semblance of composure.

"Cheers," he said with a wink and a small smile before the raised the can to his lips. The bubbles prickled his tongue, but the sweet taste made any discomfort, no matter how slight, worth it. Salem hadn't had soda in a long time - sweets of any kind were forbidden in Saint Patrick's - so he was enjoying the luxury. A soft, pink tongue darted out to clean away any remnants of the sugary beverage as he pulled the can away. And if that wasn't enough of a temptation, the gentle brag of teeth across his bottom lip was enough to make one's heart flutter.

"So, what am I suppose to call you?" Salem asked as he handed the soda out for the dark-haired Prince to take. "My name's Salem, but you can call me anything want. I'm pretty flexible," he added in a low voice, "in more ways then one."

((@Saishi: Yeah, I know, but I'm too chatty not to give one. x3;; ))

Those bright cerulean hues didn't miss the faint scattering of red that illuminated the other's cheeks like a set of red Christmas lights. Cute. It wasn't as if the prince was surprised, though.... Most people became rather easily enamored around him so he wasn't surprised by the other's attentions or the blush. Rather, he was more surprised that the other had been able to restrain himself from just dragging Pluto into the nearest room for so long. Perhaps Salem just had more control than the average person -- or maybe he was too embarrassed to move. Whatever it was (likely the former as Salem didn't seem to be the type of little blushing boy that so often grated against the prince's nerves -- though he could still easily fall for them), his time thus far spent with Salem seemed to be insinuating very promising results.

Pluto's alter ego watched as the other tilted the can up to his lips and drank. A moment later, the can lowered and that little tongue moved to remove whatever had been left on his lips. Then, as if that weren't enough, pearly whites grazed lightly against the other's bottom lip. Well, that had certainly gotten Pluto's attention. That small quirk of a smile returned to his lips, looking undeniably sensual no matter how simple of an expression it was.

He smiled as the other handed him the can, but instead of taking a sip from it he leaned forward and placed a light kiss on the other's lips. "Mmm... sweet," he commented as he resumed his usual posture, a light grin on his lips. The prince was, quite undeniably, very bold. And unphased by any sort of advances either he or others might try to make. Anyway, it had only been a small kiss -- nothing more than a greeting, really -- so it wasn't anything to over react to (though Salem did have some very nice, soft and very sweet lips).

"I'm Pluto. Nice to meet you, Salem." No one else could have made those simple words sound so incredibly sexy.

((Haha... I love Pluto. I really do. xD ))

Angel listened, still very red-cheeked, as her new roommate analyzed her in under five minutes and it was quite the accurate description too. Was she really that obvious? Angel didn't need anyone to tell her, she already knew the answer was "yes."

Despite how transparent she felt, Jamie's words cheered her up considerably. "Wow, that's incredible! You should do performances."

Just when she thought the conversation couldn't get any stranger, a second voice, a male's voice, sounded. Angel stared as a dark haired teen stepped out from behind her roommate. How that was even possible, she could say since the boy was at least three or four inches taller then Jamie. There was no way he could have been here the entire time, there just couldn't. Angel wasn't the most perceptive person in the world, but she would have noticed a guy in her room.

"Ah... Ah.." She stuttered, obviously very confused and a little more then flustered; Angel had never been very fond of boys, they made her feel uncomfortable. It may have taken her a few moments, she finally managed to speak, minus the occasional stutter. "I-I suppose this is what you wanted to talk about, eh?"

[[All the boys here are so short! gonk

Mintypoo, I love your [not so]little Pluto boy, too! He is such a stud muffin!

Also, I submitted the rest of the band members' profiles as NPCs in case people want to read them... sweatdrop ]]

Robby Hart. It was Robby Hart -- the Robby Hart. Sure, many of Blackthorn's students were in some way or another related to famous people -- but this was Robby Hart, the number one teen idol and heart throb (or, as Robby sometimes put it, "Hart Throb"). Not only was this true in his native country of England, but it was also true in just about every other major pop culture center. The reactions of the crowd outside the prestigious school were therefor quite understandable. After all international fame wasn't something that happened to everyone -- not even at Blackthorn Academy.

Robby had tried to keep his enrollment on the down low... so had the entirety of Muse, really, because they all attended the Blackthorn Academy. But the tabloids had found out some time ago (it had only been a matter of time, really, since the entirety of the five man band had been attending Blackthorn Academy since each of their first years) and now it was all the rage. Blackthorn Academy had been met with such an onslaught of applications that their mailboxes had been positively flooded. Well, all secrets came out in the open eventually. Now Robby and his friends would simply have to deal with the effects of even more publicity at school. So much for relaxing. Then again, it wouldn't be too different from usual as Robby hardly ever relaxed when he was around others.

The car door opened and Robby slid out. A simple but appealing T-shirt, a pair of fitted black jeans, a pair of large, dark sunglasses and the characteristic lightly mussed, flame red hair -- it was Robby Hart in the flesh, all six feet of him. He stood slowly, his lean body now straightened. Girls screamed and shrieked, guys yelled. Hell, maybe even some of the guys were shrieking -- at least they would be once Cruz got out. As far as the media knew, Robby was completely straight -- however, it was common knowledge that Cruz would swing either way as long as he found the person enticing enough to chase after.

The other members of Muse soon got out of the car. Cruz looked to be his usual self -- wild and playful and immensely popular. James stood towards the back, that black hair and clothing framing his excessively pale features and making him look like an ultra sexy inhabitant of some morgue or other. Tommy was, as always, being the bad tempered little princess that he was. The blond was currently complaining to his older twin, Hunter, about all the people and the noise and oh gods it looked as if Cruz was about to do something stupid again -- which, indeed, he was.

The brunette had been sending his usual grins all across the crowd as cameras flashed and the men who had accompanied Muse tried to restrain people from getting too close. They had parked as close to the dorms as they could, but it was still incredibly dangerous. Muse could easily be smushed by the onslaught of fans -- Cruz didn't seem to care, though, as he soon left his friends and his luggage in order to push his way through the sea of people. Obviously, however, that wasn't his real intent. Within moments, some fan girl had thrown herself at him. Lips pressed against lips and Cruz didn't seem to be protesting. Tommy rolled his eyes and muttered something distasteful under his breath.

As for the rest of Muse, they made their way to the dorm with protection. It took some time, but they eventually made it. "Thankfully," Tommy muttered under his breath, looking quite foul-tempered. Tommy and Hunter went off to their room and James to his -- Cruz would be sharing it later but, as he was currently being mauled by the crowd, he wasn't there yet. As for Robby, he had his own room. It was a bit solitary, really, but he didn't think the room arrangements really mattered since they would all be staying together a lot, anyway. Besides, it was better than being paired with someone he didn't know -- particularly a fan. Robby really needed some time to be by himself -- or at least time alone with only his friends -- or he would never be able to survive maintaining the mask of sweetness.

It was some time later when Cruz returned. By then, all the members of Muse had finished unpacking (Hunter, of course, had unpacked for Tommy while the blond remained his usual spoiled self) and had congregated in Robby's room -- which, ironically, was the largest despite its being a single. They had a deck of cards out and had been playing when the door opened suddenly without even the hint of a warning. That, of course, was enough to tell them who it was.

"Stupid," Tommy said without looking up. "Why'd you do that, huh? Geez, do you not know how to use your brain or do you just not have one?"

Cruz was a bit out of breath -- his shirt was rather raggad and ripped and the catch on his pants had been forcibly undone, the button ripped off (and likely now some crazed fan girl's momento). He had lipstick kisses all over his face and neck and some on his chest. He'd really gotten mollested by the entire crowd. "Shut up, Princess, or I'll really make you wear that dress I bought for you," he threatened rather tersely, a rather wolfish grin on his lips. "Anyway, I hate body guards. I like doing things my way. Plus, I got a s**t load of cell numbers now. Easiest way to start out the school year is to know a whole bunch of overly eager and hormonal teens, right?"

Tommy raised an eyebrow, a scowl forming on his lips after the "princess" comment. "And I see one of them standing by the door looking like a complete idiot."

"Guys...." Hunter said. He really didn't want Tommy and Cruz to get into a fight on the first day back at the school. He didn't need to intervene, however, as Robby soon spoke.

"Tommy, are you playing or are you just going to start lecturing Cruz? Cruz -- are you going to get dressed or stand there with your fly open all day? C'mon, guys, let's relax for a bit before we get mauled again...." And, really, the band listened to Robby. Fortunately.

"Honey, that girl couldn't run a show even if her head wasn't stuck up her a** all the time," Rory smirked,"Much less anybody else's. She'd drive her managers crazy."

"I can talk for myself, thank you, Mr. Oblivious. I was trying to make this a little less shocking thanks." Jamie turned her head from her counterpart and looked at Angel. "Angel, this is my alter-ego, Rory." Instead of gesturing like a normal person would, she stuck her foot up and kicked him lightly on the side.

Then again, by the way Rory was sprawled on the floor, Jamie would have to rethink her version of "lightly."

She went over the basics that came with package Rory, as she always did. "You don't have to worry about him raping you at any rate. He's as gay as they come, and really, he's such a pushover. He's about as strong as a daisy. Well, that is unless you really get him mad--but that's not normal for one of his mood swings. I swear he's worse than any girl on PMS sometimes--the stupid scene kid. But... just think of him as my split personality of sorts." She stuck her tongue out at that, not liking how schizophrenic it sounded.

As an afterthought, she decided to actually finally speak for herself, "I would do shows, but I'm afraid there might be actual psychics at this school, y'know."

Rory, on the other hand, still remained on the floor and whined, "Angel, darling, mind helping me up? That old hag does nothing for her poor boy anymore." He laughed a tiny bit and sighed, but not before rolling his eyes a bit at the still scowling Jamie.

Emery decided not to look up--this disposition lasting only a moment, which he immediately regretted. The slightly blushing face in front of him was too cute to hold in. He shook the taller boy's hand, and again, regretted it. Physical contact with other people was bound to turn into something greater...

Okay. That was stupid, he thought. Ryo may just turn out to be just a friend. Just because they were sharing the same room and he looked really nice and... Any further thoughts, and Emery felt he just might off himself then and there. Neutral, Emery. Act neutral!

"So... um. Yeah. I think I'll just get settled in." He dragged his luggage onto the vacant bed and began rearranging his almost-perfectly folded clothes into the various drawers and onto the hangers in the closet. He did so methodically, as to not look up.

He would not look up. He would not fall like he had so many times before. He would be just himself. No one else was necessary. Just mom. It was just school. Just school.

Or so he had told himself over and over again.

((No offense to scene kids on Jamie's part. She just likes to tease. XD))

[[lol, I'm smart. I post a big fat intro and then leave no space for anyone to RP with me. *shot* Alright, I'm going to go pick on Tai since he's all by his lonesome self and Will is... uhh... being Will. *glances at Minty* ninja domokun ]]

A few rounds later and Robby had already begun to feel detatched. Unfortunately, Robby was a sufferer of wander lust -- unfortunately because the more he wandered around, the more likely it was that people would descover and then molest him. Hardly anyone at Blackthorn Academy didn't know who Robby was -- and if they didn't know Robby Hart and Must, they were in for something quite shocking. Robby sighed and stretched slowly, his lean frame extending for several moments before he settled back down.

"I'm gonna... go," he said to his friends, shooting Cruz a mock-salute. The brunette grinned and returned the gesture, though with a good deal more cheek. None of Robby's friends had to ask anything -- they were quite accustomed to Robby's habbits.

"Don't get mauled," Tommy huffed reluctantly, a faint flush on his pale cheeks. The little blond hated worrying about people and thus always felt embarrassed when he said such "stupid" things.

"Thanks, lovey. I'll make sure to be careful," Robby replied, a light grin now on his lips. With that, Robby quickly stripped off his shirt and replaced it with a simple black shirt that had some sort of design on it in white. The important thing was that it didn't stand out in any way but still was publicly presentable just in case he was found out. He then pulled on a white knit cap -- the kind without the tassles and the ear flaps and all that other "junk." Sun glasses would be too obvious, he decided, so he left his golden-hazel eyes uncovered. A quick look in the mirror -- really, he looked quite delicious if he did say so himself (which Cruz actually vocalised it quite well) -- and he was off, ready to wander the halls.

Most people were taking the elevators. Because of this and because he prefered walking, Robby opted to take the stairs and to wander each of the hallways before hand. He didn't really want to go down to the bottom level -- there were too many people and one of them just might happen to recognize him -- and so he traveled upwards. As he reached each level, he would exit the stairwell and walk to the one across on the other side of the hallway just so that he could watch the hustle and bustle. Robby seemed to have a lot of habbits and hobbies that were unfortunate for famous people -- not only did he have wander lust, but he was a natural people watcher as well. Here, everyone was so preocupied with moving in that no one really noticed him -- after all, his trade mark hair was now hidden. But he was undeniably attractive and so he did get quite a lot of people looking his way....

Up, up, and up further, there were now far less people.... All the way up to the ninth level and it was really very deserted. But Robby decided to walk the hallway anyway, just out for the sake of continuing the trend. He had just been about to reach the second stairwell when he heard a loud thud and an exclamation of pain. The redhead paused, looking slightly nonplused and rather concerned.

"You alright?" he called out, bright eyes seeking the cause of this commotion. They found it quite easily. It was a pile of bags -- or, rather, a person whose bags had fallen on top of himself. It was quite comical, really. Robby surpressed a laugh and then walked forward, extending a hand to help the other up. "Alright there?" he repeated, a slightly impish smile on his lips. Even with his hair hidden, Robby was unmistakably gorgeous. Such fine, pale skin and incredible facial structure -- not to mention the rest of him. Robby was enough to make any girl (or any boy so inclined) swoon on the spot.

Ryo was curious about the boy before him. he looked so sweet and yet acted cold like the prince charming he had met just minutes before. Ryo didn't mind when Emery was cold though, he kind of thought it was cute.

"I still need to get settled in to, I just got here a minute ago."

After a few minutes of struggling, he got his suitcase open and found the picture of Yuki he brought. 'I miss you lil bro...I'll come get you as soon as I'm outta here, i promise'

Ryo held the framed picture close to his heart before carefully positioning it on the nightstand next to his bed.

"hey Emery, i know this is a very random and weird question, but... what's your power?

Curiosity was one of the things that often led him into troubble, but he didn't think that Emery would mind. It was, under the sircumstances, a fairly normal question. They were in a school for "mutants" after all.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 04, 2008 4:22 pm

Emery bit his lip as he folded his clothes. It was a bit rude of him to just brush Ryo off like that, but... He looked up to apologize, but refrained. He saw the Ryo hug what looked like a picture frame. Granted, he couldn't see what was on it, but figured it was very personal. He wouldn't ask about it--it wasn't his business. So, he turned around and continued folding.

He was a bit startled by Ryo's question. Nobody'd ever ask him before--that is aside from the authorities at Blackthorn. And the IMDA asked his mom all the questions. He figured he could be more open about it since chances were, Ryo was a mutant as well. "Oh. I can control the properties of liquids. Call it alchemy in liquid form, or controlling the elements, or whatever. But I have my limits." He transfused about a quart of blood out his body and into the air and turned it into gold. He turned a little pale and decided to switch it back and replace it before he became faint. It wasn't much for normal people, but anemia kind of did that to him. "So," he said, regaining his complexion, "quid pro quo. What's yours?"

Ryo smiled slightly, his eyes glowing with curiosity.

"Cool"

He noticed Emery get pale and wanted to comfort him, but didn't. He thought it would just make the other boy nervous and he really didn't want to ruin any future friendship...or more then that.

"Nothing special, I'm just a normal telekinetic,"

He lifted his hand and twirld his fingers in a small circle, causing his picture of Yuki, two of his socks, and a ring he had to twirl around in a circle about the bed.

"I'm pretty weak though."

The objects fell saftly to a pillow with a small thud. He picked up the picture frame and turned it so Emery could see.

"This is my little brother by the way. His name's Yuki."

Yuki was just shorter the Ryo, but had better hair. Brunette like his brother, but his eyes were blue and his skin was much better tanned. He was only 11 though.
