That was the same deal for me. Well, Man in the Box sealed the deal but Rooster took it a step further and Would? just kicked my a**. Then I heard the good stuff like Queen of the Rodeo, What the Hell Have I?, and Nutshell.

Meh, probably but then again we were technically on topic. What I really want to do is introduce this guild to the Deep Six... although everyone mostly knows one. (Melvins, Malfunshun, Green River, U-Men, Skin Yard, Soundgarden.)

Heh, they are all the foundation of grunge basically. It was in fact Green River's Mark Arm who basically came up with the phrase. Grunge has been around since '82 and '83. Many of those bands broke into the core bands most people worship today. Skin Yard's Matt Cameron went on to join Soundgarden, Green river split into two bands. Mudhoney and Mother Love Bone(Which took Andrew Wood from Malfunshun and Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament from Green River.... who later made a tribute band when AW died called Temple of the Dog. When that was over they took Vedder and formed Pearl Jam.) The Melvins reject Kurt Cobain for Bass which is so damn funny to this day, and honestly I'm kind of happy... I think Kurt would have ruined the integrety of the band, but then again, Grunge might not be dead if Kurt didn't die famous taking the genre with him. (Selfish b*****d... Although Grunge wasn't technically dead until Soundgarden ended... In my opinion.)

Then I heard the good stuff like Queen of the Rodeo, What the Hell Have I?, and Nutshell. Nutshell = heart heart heart i luff that song~ @ Everything Zen: Andrew = Andy... i believe that this guy used to write for Soundgarden at one time...when he died, Chris cornell and some of his guys made Temple of the Dog as a tribute. >< am i mistaken? <(o,o)>

That's correct, formed by friends/band mates of Mother Love Bone, Stone Gossard and Jeff Lament(Later Pearl Jam) teamed up with Cornellmeister and Veddermonster to make an awesome tribute band in Andrew Wood's honor.

Andrew started off in Malfunkshun, and then went on to Mother Love Bone with Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament. (Those 2 left Green River while Mark Arm and Steve Turner made Mudhoney.)

My writing must be confusing then heh. He and Jeff Ament formed Pearl Jam with Eddie Vedder after Temple of the Dog was done.

Grunge bands can pretty much all be related to 6 degrees of Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament. They were the rhythm section for a s**t ton of bands.
