~Sonnet of Distaste~
How must I write such a piece?
Should I etch in my feelings til they run dry?
Such a thing is my bane: the pain does not give me peace.
Writing about my memories: Sad enough to make me cry.
Oh! But you must bask in the irony.
Look at how I write this sonnet of distaste,
My feelings are caught out, this dislike from me.
Against this paper, my thoughts are laced.
You, the reader should laugh at such silliness.
Because in truth, personal is this piece I am writing,
Can you see my thoughts etched in my writing of this?
Against the personal story, I am fighting.
While writing about myself, I do abhor,
The style of the Sonnet, I definitely adore.
A random poem I wrote for an English essay last year. I was supposed to write a story about myself, but I didn't want to... so I wrote this poem in 10 mins about how I don't want to write about myself. hehe
Just so you know, the 4th line is meant to be sarcastic.
