>_> What doesn't lag if you open several tabs of videos...? That right there is some sort of anti-logic....

Firefox lags... less...?
I can open more tabs BEFORE it begins to lag?

That's more a processor thing, especially if it's a single-core
Between my subpar processor and the naturally slow internet around these parts, I'm still happy with the speed of GChrome
And Bapp, I think I've had that problem before. Nothing that a reloaded page couldn't fix...but that's probably a quirk of my computer

It's nothing to do with the processor Both browsers were on the same comp and Firefox was clearly faster.

That's because the Firefox browser probably does one of the following:
A-Retrieves the needed data faster from the internet B-Is more efficient and takes less CPU power to run or C-Somehow outsources the computing power to an external server, freeing up your CPU to run faster
EVERYTHING has to do with the processor, RAM isn't as important as everyone thinks
I have 2GB of RAM on this thing...never exceeded 1GB used at any moment

And so that explains why it's faster than GChrome on the same computer... how?

Gee... Bapp is sounding almost pissy. =o
So then, Mabo, have you tested firefox vs GChrome too? D: I currently use firefox, so if it's faster, I don't see any reason to switch browsers.

I'm not pissy.
It takes quite a bit to get me riled up cos' I'm always looking at the bright side of things.

what can I ay...it's all technology, so there must be a reason it's faster
and no, I haven't tested Chrome vs. Firefox...I'll stick with Chrome until -never?- I don't like it, then I might switch (same as you pretty much)
or I could get rid of IE7 completely...then the net disc space won't change much when I get Firefox
I dunno...
BUT...it seems like Bapp is fighting a losing battle here. Heck, he ignored the ABC logic I presented

Whut, we were arguing?
That wasn't ABC logic at all! It didn't explain anything because both browsers are on the same computer =_=
I switched to Firefox because Chrome suddenly rejected any command regarding internet access. It just refused to load any page all of a sudden. I didn't even do anything to it.

firstly: the only way a browser could be faster on the same computer is if it didn't require as much to run
secondly: Did you try turning off your modem for about a minute? That happens to me all the time, and a quick modem restart fixes it right up

Only Google Chrome was affected. IE and Firefox worked fine.

Not that I think you two are having the same conversation.... but it sounds like a good argument for firefox to me.

I think we can all agree Firefox is better then internet explorer at least. After getting my computer build with Firefox installed I haven't gone back to IE because of how much better Firefox is.

Internet Explorer is slooooow.
I measure the capability of browsers by number of open 30min porn video tabs before it begins to lag.
IEs like at.... 2, 3 at most.
