and yea, I just did a search for roleplay in the guilds: Bleach and Naruto. That's what it comes down to. And what is so amazing is that the Naruto guilds, almost every single one of them, has at least a couple thousand members. >> How can so many people like Naruto?! I got outta that phase.

I'm more sided with the post-apocalyptic cyberpunk and good ol' victorian steampunk at it's finest. = u=
I'm surprised at how it could be actually a hit in the roleplaying universe. neutral
you'd think people want to be a part of something completely customed to their characters.

The one I made was......kinda sorta post apocalyptic with pockets of high tech that survived and being horded by the "rich". >w> Just never got around to using that idea.
Steampunk is cool too, with all the clockwork and gears and stuffs. Clockwork pistols, yay! *ahem* Anyways........yea, that's been my day. =w= being disappointed by the state of Gaia's cyber punk community.

That seems to be a neat idea...I like survival things, organizations, unions and corruption for the post apocalyptic thing xD
considering that the cyberpunk community kind of shuns neko neko kawaii desu things and vampire tards and dragon hybrids and super hybrid vampire, dragon, kitsune mutants...
I can see why. xD
True cyberpunk only contains 5 basic concepts:
Aliens
AI
Humans
Technology
..and Mutants that don't look attractive and extremely humanlike, while retaining just the ears and tail of something for some unknown unexplainable illogical reason.
Oh, I love steampunk to death. xD I combine cyber punk with steampunk properties often whenever I design things though.

I use humans mostly anyways.....kinda remedies the problem! 8D Hmm......never thought of aliens, but the others I had in some form or another. Like mutants, I called spliced humans/demons. Basically, combined DNA. >> I dunno. would really have to elaborate on that. I needs to read on steampunk. I get the basic concept, but there's still so much more! *o*

Not just overdone, just lame really.
I still don't get why people just grow furry ears and tails of a completely different colour.
I can't come up with any decent biological reason for the genome.
all's good. Adds that twist and keeps the cyborgs in check. xD
Oh there's a lot to steampunk. So much.
Basically it's just adding the tech to primal eras, while still keeping that essence of that era.
however steampunk could be when people force themselves to use it instead of electricity by chemicals and factories.
or as an alterative after an apocalypse.

Yea. It was like......a new energy source was discovered and experimented with, but it all went wrong and like....most of the facilities exploded, rendering the land around them useless for many, many years.

then there's the clockwork mannerism sort of style which combines a heck of a lot of grunge and free style punk into brass, steel and steam -- even more so than clothes.
and my favourite, apocalyptic anarchy with steampunk is a really good one.
