Nothing, it doesn't actually exist.
It's just a whacky " match the items to the name " minigame.
Like, customer X will want a " Librarian's Latern of Liquification. "
You then get 3 sets of options to try to make the item.
In this case, you would pick the book for item 1 making the Librarian part, then the Lantern for item 2 for Latern, and the water drop for item 3 for Liquification.
After that, you're given a D100 roll against a difficulty. If you beat the set difficulty, your smithing skill increases, and you can do another random item, then roll against a slightly higher difficulty, up to a skill of 35.

Because I'd rather hang around a guy I can talk to about all manner of random crap than some jock dumbass obsessed with his own muscles and thinks just because he knows a touchdown is 6 points, it makes him some kinda genius.
