You're the one who said that Mission specifics shoudl be told in advanced.
If you decide to neglect the mission briefing on an escort mission, then technically, you're at fault.
How do you not get that? You have to know the mission before you engauge in it. Tell me, where do you get that a escort mission lacks the information on the primary objective, the person whom you are to protect?

Then how would you fail to note the objectives of the escort mission.
If you know the objectives, run in shooting first, asking questions later, then you have a high risk of killing your objective. Which would indeed fook things up, especially when you have eletronic systems and bombs to defuse to get to them. Shooting the bomb on the escortees chest doens't work.
Hence why shoot first, ask later really is a s**t tactic.
