My mouth gapes with shock -both literal and figuratively- and I slightly growl as I snatch the pendant from around Mazurn's neck and throw it on the floor, near us but not near enough to touch us.
"That was so very rude and uncalled for! I was trying to compliment you and try to understand you, but if you're going to fight, I'll fight back!" I glare at the pendant vehemently, then I go over to Mazurn and do my best to lift him up.
"I do hope you're okay! I'm sorry if I was the cause for it to go haywire..." I say to Mazurn, wondering how I can help. I turn my head to Apollo, still holding Mazurn, and smile at him.
"So several of you did indeed put quite the thought into your character names...that's pretty neat! I'm glad to know you all are creative and knowledgeable, too!" I try to look for an appropriate place to place Mazurn comfortably.
"Is there anything else I can help you with, Mazurn?"

I had watched Layla take off to apparently get food, and then decided to amuse myself with watching Mazurn and Branwen with the pendant and it's many performances. I actually let out a small laugh when I came closer and watch the two seem to get electricuted.

Layla:
"Yes, Lady Abdul!" Xiao calls back.
Willow:
You have no idea where to look. You have two options: follow Layla down the hall, or return to the main hall with the others.
Mazurn:
"Oh, I will be," it says. "Don't worry about that!"
Branwen:
Do not assume that your actions succeed (this is part of the rules and Reality Clause).
Your attempt to remove the pendant fails, with you being zapped harshly and the chain tightening around Mazurn's neck. You receive too harsh of a shock to have any further chance of removing it at this point. You are also unable to say any of what you have attempted to.
Mazurn:
The pendant's chain suddenly tightens around your neck.
Leina:
As you watch, the pendant zaps Branwen again and tightens around Mazurn's neck.

"Gack! Hel..." Mazurn said as he felt the tightening grip of the necklace around his neck. If it wasn't for the fact that he was paralyzed, he would have tried to take off the pendant as well.

Realizing after about two minutes that she had absolutely no idea where to start looking, Willow simply followed Layla.

I open up the door slowly and make sure to open it up only. As far as needed as I slip through. "You know, you can just call me Layla, I think your voice might sound much better if it less... forced..." I say, blushing as I realized my compliment might be taken as flirting. I look around to room to see what sort of adornments would decorate a nekomimi maid who like to cook food naked for her employer and paints her name in a fun shade of pink on the door.

Your body unfreezes.
Willow:
When you get to the top of the stairs, you see Layla entering a room.
Layla:
"Oh, t-thank you...Layla," Xiao replies.
You realize that she is behind a very cute, flowery privacy screen. The room is adorned in green and pink objects, most of which are very girly and sometimes very girlishly kitten-like. You can see quite a few objects that were surely ji'onian cat toys, all of which are green and/or pink.
"I'm very sorry about embarrassing you, Layla," Xiao says from behind the screen. "I know I'm not supposed to walk around without my uniform when we have guests...please forgive me..."
Your character's mind tells you that she, unlike her parents, allows Xiao to walk around naked because that's what Xiao prefers.

As Mazurn reached for his pendant chain, je said "Oka... you can... Let go... now..." He knew he looked reckless and stupid, but right now choking to death would not be good.

"Oh, no! You didn't embaress me at all! I was just... you know... kinda at the wrong place at the wrong time with my hands..." I say, my face retaining it's pink hue as I remember the event. "But... you... you're actually really cute like that... Not to sound like a creep or anything... but seeing you like that just makes me want to hug and pet you..." I say nervously, just realizing that it might sound like I'm being forward with her. Admittedly, I did think she was quite adorable looking, and that hug did make me free nice and warm inside...

"Oh, sorry," the pendant mutters.
It loosens up.
Layla:
Xiao comes out from behind the privacy curtain wearing a standard maid uniform. She looks at you.
"You've...never talked like that before..." she mutters.
She then holds up a strip of leather that looks oddly like a collar.
"Can you help me put this back on?" she asks.
Her voice is emotionless, as though she's only putting it on out of duty.

"Well... do you want to wear it? Sounds like you really don't want to... Please, you don't have to impress me or anything!" I say, as I walk up to her and hug her again. "I'm already happy to have someone who's as dedicated as you..." I say softly to into her cat-like ear. "Wait, you don't have a problem with me talking differently, do you?" I ask.

I raised an eyebrow as I watched the pendant lash out... "Harsh..." I say under my breath with what seems to be slight concern. Knowing I probably wouldn't be needed for much anymore, I decide to walk up to Mazurn and Branwen. I look over to Branwen first, "Do you need some help?", and then look to Mazurn as I finish my question.

I twitch a few times at the electric shock and growl a little more, then nod to Leina. "Yes, please...since a psycho piece of jewelry doesn't seem to want to treat anyone nice..."
Then I look down at Mazurn again, of whom my grip is loosening on as the electricity pulses through me and weakens me.
"Sorry, Mazurn..."

Your character tells you that Xiao has always been forced to wear it because Layla's parents felt that it helped to remind Xiao of where she belonged. The character, however, does not like the collar. It was never to impress anyone; it was worn out of requirement.
Branwen:
"Hey, I didn't kill you, did I?" the pendant retorts. "Being violent with me will result in me returning the favor. Happy?!"
