Tython/ Jedi Temple - Training Room
Ronyo found himself a bit confused as the Academy student thought to apologize for allowing a Mandalorian to join her in her training. It seemed Sam was in the minds of being still concerned on the matter as well as she spoke of the history of Jedi and Mandalorians. It was then Ronyo realized that it must not have been clear that those Mandalorians who stayed had been cleared and given permission by Ronyo himself to be at home on Tython.
"Why would I be upset? I was hoping that more Mando'ad and Jetii would try and learn from each other and grow. You two are hopefully the start of something great I hope to see in my lifetime," Ronyo used words from the Mandalorian culture he had been studying to help bridge the gap more between the two cultures, he was fair for the most part but struggled over some grammar, " This is a place of training, ba'jur, for both and if anything I wish to push you to do it more often."
Ronyo looked at the two with a smile always on his face and he also looked at Sam hoping she would begin to ease back into her hold habits as time went on, but more time was likely needed for that to be visible. Still The Grand Master hoped Tython would be the best place to heal Sam's wounds as it would be the best place for her to commune with the force and find some measure of peace. AT that Ronyo closed his eyes and brought on the technique he had come to truly enjoy having learned from his time on Tython. He saw the three standing around him but not through normal means but through the force. He could see the energy flow around and through the three in different patterns and in different intensities.
It was the first time Ronyo had truly used this power to view Sam-El and what he saw had him worried and curious at the same time. Her signature was like a crashing wave of surf hitting against another taller wave with powerful force. Three energies were playing out in this triple sided tug of war and it was not obvious which one was winning. Ronyo could sense and see the Sam he knew and who had taught him but only briefly at times, then the woman Ronyo had only briefly seen on Naboo as an innocent woman who had found peace seemed to be doing it best to stay afloat, and then there was the large wave that seemed to be wanting to power through them both. Ronyo knew this essence for he had meet it once before the Brood came and then went it was the Sam from the future, but a future that was so morbid and bleak that the Sam he knew was not, but yet something of the lightsides will.
Looking to the other two Ronyo saw the force swelling within them wanting to grow and become stronger. Even the Mando seemed to be in the positions of a great amount of force energy but his emotions showed he likely did not know it even lay within him. With a smile Ronyo opened his eyes and knew that the force had guided both Ronyo and Sam to these two Jedi hopefuls.
"I do think we need to talk more about your training though, both of your training. When the force speaks I listen and when it pushes I follow as best I can. Here Master Joelk and myself stand before two who have within them great potential in the force, "Ronyo waited for the information to sink in for the Mandalorian before he moved on, "However life is nothing without choice and so you both have a choice at this junction. You can continue down your current road of training and ba'jur or you can make the step towards Jedi. This is of course a large decision and so you may take as long as you feel necessary to come to an answer."

As soon as the doors open with a hermetic hiss, Mae stalks through with the most angelic expression she can manage -- sometimes it's always safest to pretend she's just a lost kid and then whip out the weapons when whoever she's run into is caught unawares. Especially when it appears she's stumbled upon a pair of Jedi.
Red and blue and goddamn droids and idiots and orange?" she says, widening her eyes and staring up blankly.

Point Nadir -Building far across Zietta's Palace
I'll be right behind you. That's what she had told him. Instead, she'd been too much of a coward to follow him. Wasting her time at the cantina for a quick drink of courage. One drink had quickly turned in a couple more, until she finally realized just how lousy a friend and partner she was by doing this.
After all, as reluctant as Kal had been to go ahead with this plan at first, he was out there now trying to finish that job. She'd been so hardheaded about dragging him along into this, but when they'd finally gotten there it was her that had lost the courage to pull it through, memories of her last dealing's with a Hutt having resurfaced to the mind. It had cost her an arm.
She could not risk Kal having to suffer the same fate, or worse, by abandoning him to what she had suggested they should do. In the end, that'd only hurt her more than whatever they could do to her should she get caught.
She stepped to the edge of the roof, taking a deep breath as she let her senses scout the outskirts of the palace. While doing so she gently put down the bag she carried, and removed from it a various selection of weaponry. A short rifle, two hand blasters, two detonators and the saber Kal had taught her to craft. Securing the weaponry to her belt and holsters, she searched the palace for a sign of the former Sith and upon finding him, gently nudged him in the Force to assure him she'd have his back. Even if she was late and unaware of his current situation.
Now came the 'fun' part. Infiltrating the palace without being seen or heard. Watching the perimeters through the scope of the rifle in order to find the weakest spot in security.

Anaxes.
Irella nodded in greeting towards Isani, only catching on at of the part about eating their pilot, being not so much a joke as they made it sound to be. As for the name of Sephis, she assumed it was the one that had tried to stop them on the Corruo. She couldn't quite make out of it what was going on. Had the Sith been divided and at war against each other?
"So, you know me then?" She asked the Sith, though she spoke it more in the manner of it being a remark than an actual question. "I can't say that I remember you, I'm... sorry..." Her words slow at the end of her sentence, as if she were distracted by a sudden realization.
She sat atop of him, his hand pinned down the wooden floor he lay on beneath her. She seemed eager to hurt him, to kill him, fueled by what seemed like an unending hatred and anger. While not caused by him, it was certainly directed at him, the source of her emotions seeming nothing to do with the silver haired person she was about to torture. But there had been others there as well. She had felt their presence, but only after hearing their footsteps first. She'd been too caught up with her victim to mind her surroundings, a very stupid mistake to make. She turned her head just quick enough to glimpse the thick forest surroundings the walkway was at, and two other women that walked towards them. Her face was amongst them. It was the last thing she'd seen before a bright white flash had overcome her, along with an excruciation pain. A pain she had remembered well up unto the moment she had woken on the Corruo.
"You..." Her hand slipped from that of Mab's, hand reaching back as her fingers closed tightly into a fist. Pouring all her energy into her physical strength, the girl lunged forward with the full intent of letting that fist hammer down on that face, repeatedly and well passed the point of Isani's last breath of life. For she had been there and she would pay for whatever had happened.

Mabysyn's childish laughter broke the air as Irella threw herself towards Isani, violent intent all but written across her face. The Anzat raised a hand and grabbed Irella with the force, securing tethers between herself and the blonde around her torso and shoulders, then set her gently back down upon the ground.
"That's not quite what I would call gratitude, Irella. Isani is the reason you and I managed to get off the Corruo alive, after all..."
She didn't ask what had set the blonde's temper aflame, but instead relished it. The feeling of it was like a promise spoken in whispers on a pillow. "Why ever would our sister want to kill you, Isani?" She said then, her tone some what colder than before and without the humor. Though Isani would have no reason to defend her actions to Mabysyn, and knew so, she would let the blonde think that the Anzat was close to championing her actions.

Missing Score -- Coruscant
"I did, though it required calling in a favor that I never thought I would." He replied, his eyes sobering with the thought. The sort of favors that he did sometimes left enough of a knife in his gut; calling them in was a twist. "It's more inconspicuous than we would have gotten through regular channels." He added, justifying to himself the validity of said 'favor'. Mina would understand the implied 'illegal' that was meant to go along with the latter statement, he was sure. Whether she approved or not... well, it was necessary.
"I feel the sooner we're away from here the better, for both of us." He commented as they entered the docking bay. It wasn't only because he did not want the Commander's mind affects to diminish before they had a chance to leave, but also because he wanted to be on the move.

When Seron heard Grand Master Storm say 'both of your training,' he simply presumed the young man had misspoken. When he said that 'two who have within them great potential in the Force,' Seron merely became confused.
"However, life is nothing without choice and so you both have a choice at this junction," Grand Master Storm continued to explain. "You can continue down your current road of training and ba'jur or you can make the step towards Jedi. This is, of course, a large decision and so you may take as long as you feel necessary to come to an answer."
Seron was still saluting, of course, but the thoughts circling around in his head were frightening. Was the Grand Master serious? Was he telling the truth? How did Storm know whether Seron was Force-sensitive or not, anyway? Why was he suggesting all of this?
"Sir, I am here to protect and serve the Jedi as best I can with my expertise!" Seron proclaimed, puffing his chest out a bit. "Place me wherever you need me."

"I went through a rough patch, my dear friend," Isani demurs with a sly smile and shrug that precludes any further questioning. "I do hope you'll forgive me for whatever I did while I was quite insane, dear Irella - we were such good friends before that incident." Her smile grows sharper, and she holds out a hand, unfazed by the blonde's assassination attempt.
Though she's touched Mab handled the situation, Isani is more than capable of protecting herself from a confused little thing like Irella. She always has been -- her specialty is making people so fundamentally unsure and keeping them that way; that being the case, she sure as hell knows how to handle them. "Please do forgive me," she says in a steely tone that seems to demand forgiveness rather than ask for it.

(( only because you're so damn cute when you're drunk, tessie ))
Malo struggled against the mental restraints that the other mind had over hers -- that his had -- and rebelled to the best of her abilities, but despite Kal's waning strength it seemed for naught. It would seem that whatever strength he had left had gone into subduing and gaining control in her own mind and now any energy she spent fighting against it only weakened her.
She saw the doors open and recognized the child slightly, not by name but... Childkiller? the blonde thought briefly. Then she saw Querty and she felt a sudden concern for the little droid. He wasn't even supposed to be here, he was supposed to be on her ship getting the maintenance he needed for his memory core. He was just a droid, but he was her droid, and she had little else left to call her own.
So she fought again, ignoring the voice at the back of her thoughts (were they his thoughts, or her own?), and shuddered. Or should could have thought she shuddered... a shaking, definitely a shaking, and then... a brief window of clarity broke into her thoughts and she breathed out the first thought that came to her; "Run!" But whether she was talking to the 'child' or if it was her desire, even she couldn't tell.

[ Point Nadir ]<******** this, Mae thinks to herself sourly; at least she has a couple of slugthrowers on her, thank the stars. Ever since she started dealing with the Sith, she'd taken to always carrying one on her person. If worse comes to worse, she can shoot the Force-wielding assholes.
As the blonde one yells run! Mae suddenly thinks it won't come to worse-- maybe if she can give the blonde some time, that idiot will take out this other Jedi thing; they're pretty much natural allies, what with them both seem to be the Jedi's enemy, and she does vaguely resemble one of the data packets Eden sent her...
Clutching her cloak closed, Mae shouts sings out profanities in Bimmini -- "Your mother's a ******** idiot and you're some kind of underpaid whore, a*****e"-- and runs at the Jedi-man, kicking him solidly in the shins and aiming to knee him where the sun don't shine. She has to believe the anatomy of Jedi are the same -- else-wise, what the ******** is she supposed to believe in?
Her slugthrower, that's ******** what. Beneath her cloak, Mae reaches for it subtly, prepared for anything.

Point Nadir, Zietta's Palace
As Kal stared awkwardly at the little girl walking into the room babbling nonsense-- what was a little girl doing in a place like this, anyway?-- Kal was still struggling to completely contain Malo. She was strong and rebellious. Just when Kal thought he had her locked down, she managed to squeeze out a shout.
"Run!"
That was it. Kal had had enough of holding back. It was getting him nowhere. Kal homed in on Malo's neocortex and started placing mental blocks over her sensory perception, generation of motor commands, and conscious thought. And then something hard collided with his shin, cuffing it, causing him to double over, and leaving Malo's complete incapacitation incomplete. And then a knee went into his groin.
Kal completely lost control of Malo's mind, relinquishing any and all control and regulation that he'd held over her just a moment ago. He moved his hands down to cover his genitals and his widened.
He looked up to take a glance at his attacker, and was surprised to see the little girl that had just entered the room. What the hell? Kal reached out to grab her clothes as he dropped to his knees. His balls were throbbing. Why didn't she run?

Point Nadir, Zietta's Palace
A grinding force followed her quick shout, pressing in on the window she'd managed to create and shattered it with a strength that would have made Malo cry out, had she still the ability to do so. For a moment she felt herself slipping away, disappearing just like that time on that ship... but then it let go just as quickly. The grip over her body and mind release with some sense of urgency, and when Malo's sight became her own and she was able to see her attacker again she realized why.
The Bimm, or child as she was masquerading as, had opted not to run... something Malo was thankful for.
She felt like she'd run a marathon and then fought against a Sith, she was so damned tired. Still, with how close the Childkiller was to her opponent, and his self-professed amorality, Malo struggled to keep her head off the ground even as her knees sank to it. Reaching out for Querty, she heard and saw the droid respond to her without a vocal command. Maybe it's a good thing you didn't get that memory wipe, after all. She thought, entering a short code on the droid's exterior access panel to enable his shock probe a higher voltage. High enough to knock someone out, maybe... it had certainly done a number on her arm before their arrival.
Then she threw the droid towards Kal, probe extended, and braced herself for what would happen next. Maybe, just maybe, the Childkiller would distract the Sith enough for Querty to put him down.

Tython ~ Jedi Temple Anya looked up, surprise shooting from her through the Force. She was surprised she wasn't being punished. Just about everything she did these days warranted a punishment from the Jedi; that was the source of her growing frustration with the Jedi. That, plus she felt as though the Jedi were holding her back from her true potential. She opened her mouth so say something, then closed it again. Finally, drawing a deep breath and summoning courage in the Force, Anya spoke. "Master, if I may, when you say training, do you mean apprenticeship? Because, frankly sir, I'm beginning to get antsy staying in the Temple all the time. Those younger than me are being taken for training and I'm beginning to feel left out. Like I'm being held back." She flashed her eyes over to the Mandalorian who seemed confused when the Grand Master mentioned his Force presence, but kept her attention focused on the Grand Master.

Predator --Harrin Orbit
The skies over Harrin were on fire by the time that Morbella, en Talon, returned to the bridge. The usual attention was dismissed by one hand as her attention rested solely on the viewscreen before all of them. Radio chatter filled the background and the communications officer moved to quieten it, but Morbella ordered him to let it stay. Hearing what was going on down on the planet would help her to form her decision.
The gentle tap-tap-tap of her nails drummed against the rail that separated her from a short drop into the bridge's control area as her icy stare bored into the planet displayed digitally before her. From this distance she could see the fighters in their finely woven squadrons and formations darting in and out of the clouds easily, finding their targets and destroying them in one smooth tactical sweep as they passed. Two of the other Admirals had also gone into low orbit to issue forth their TIE-bays and, though they were far from the Predator, their massive births were clearly visible as well.
After some time of watching and waiting, and grinding her teeth, Morbella called Xang's attention. "I've had time to reconsider your advise, Xang." She said coolly, leaving no room for the XO to consider himself satisfied before continuing. "Issue a pull back order to the troops and TIE's and relay it to the other Admirals. I want to be out of this atmo and in safe distance of firing the turbolasers in thirty standard minutes."
"Thirty.." Xang repeated, surprised. "That's hardly enough time to recall all of our men, Admiral."
"Tell them to run... orderly."
"And the Empress' Apprentice? What of Darth Sephis."
Morbella's eyes never left the display though she did frown. Forgive me, she thought, though she knew he wouldn't. "Let the Force be with him."

Harrin, Capital
"Repeat that."
"We have a security breach, sector Gamma Beeska... Appears to be shelled from concealed location..."
A loud noise interrupted the soldier's report and then there was static. The Empire was approaching.
"This is Srevnad to all points: Condition black. Repeat: Condition black, we are under attack."
Srevnad turned to Harrin's Executive Prime Minister and his cabinet, drawing her sidearm out of its holster.
"Please remain calm," Srevnad said, holding a hand out to stop an approaching cabinet member. "We're locking down the building and dealing with the situation..."
Outside the window of the Minister's office, you could actually see the shelling taking place, mortar fire climbing up the street, making mince meat of the defending men and women and the barricades they'd set up.
"I can't see where the explosions are coming from..."
"Mortar fire, maybe..."
"By the Core, are we going to die?"
Meanwhile, a shadow flickered across the back wall, just for a moment as the Minister, Srevnad, commander of the Ministerial Guard, and the Minister's advisers gathered near the window.
"Please, we're moving to secure this room, but I need you away from the window..."
The air seemed to shimmer, like there was movement where no movement was taking place. But no one was noticing. Attention was drawn towards the windows, where the Minister and his advisers could watch the destruction from a seemingly decreasingly safe area. The Minister, however, knew what he was supposed to be doing. When his security told him to move, he moved. He was the Executive Minister of Harrin. He couldn't afford to be rapt by war.
As Srevnad was beginning to forcibly pull the Minister's advisers away from the windows, there was a snap-hiss and the sound of the Executive Minister struggling to get his voice out. The crowd turned to see a man with shoulder-length blonde hair, and a black, scruffy jowl holding the Executive Minister over a sizzling red lightsaber. For a long moment, it seemed as though the hum of the weapon was the only sound in the room, filling the void between people's turning to look and their exaggerated reactions. Srevnad was the first to react.
She raised her weapon and fired. Sephis maneuvered the man with the hilt of his blade (and with the aid of telekinetics) to block the shots, ensuring that the Minister's death was certain. Several of the advisers cried out, and even Srevnad yelled out
"NO!"
One of the advisers, stupidly, and in a rush of desperation, tried to charge Sephis head on. He collapsed and fell flat on his face as Sephis Force Choked him and pushed the back of his head down with the Force. Srevnad fired three more shots. Sephis deflected one, avoided the other, and got grazed by the third. The pain didn't faze Sephis so much that he couldn't pull the blaster pistol out of the guard's hand, however.
As Sephis dove for the ground, he received the blaster pistol in-hand. When he hit, Sephis opened fire. He hit the guard in the chest, twice. And fired into the crowd of advisers as they screamed. A few managed to avoid the fire and headed straight for the exit. Sephis slammed the door he'd sneaked through shut, and erected a Force Barrier between them and the door handle.
Getting up, and gritting his teeth from the sharp pain from the graze, Sephis made his way around the room, executing each adviser as they screamed, pleaded for their lives and sobbed. When he finally made his way back over to the guard, to make sure she was dead, he was mildly surprised to see that she was still alive. The woman stared up at him, bleeding from her mouth and coughed.
"Why don't you just-- >ack!< kill me?"
"I like to savor the deaths of the strong," Sephis replied without hesitation. "Not every soldier can take two shots to the chest, unarmored, and live to tell about it in another five minutes. I'll enjoy killing you."
"But why--!"
Sephis cut the guard off by sweeping his lightsaber across her open lips, separating her upper lip and the rest of her head from the rest of her body. A banging on the door to the office startled Sephis. He could hear yelling on the other side. Must have been the regular security. Late, as stereotypically usual. Sephis' Force Barrier was the only thing keeping them from getting in.
That meant that Sephis' time here was done. No more dallying. Sephis dropped the blaster on the floor and approached the window. He gripped his still humming lightsaber in two hands, in front of him. Then he maneuvered so it was pointing, down to the floor, and he swung it up, the heat from the blade shattering the glass instantly. More shouting and more banging from behind him. They'd be planting charges on the door any minute, if they hadn't already.
