"I tried that," Aura insisted to Mark, showing him where she had carried out the tasks he'd written. "But I can't seem to disconnect the audio feed to the cameras...
"I didn't," she called back to Elisa when she heard her friend's question.
She stared at the panels again and stood. "You're clearly better at this than I am; why don't you give it a shot?" she asked Mark politely. "I'll...go help Karin for the moment."
Aura began walking over to where Karin was but stopped abruptly. She murmered so only Mark could hear, "Thank you....for helping us."
She then took a seat next to Karin and asked. "How can I help? I heard Elisa saying I could be of use?"

As the lights turned off and on, Alyssa awoke. She blinked groggily and noticed that she was alone. Seeing that the room was empty worried her, where had everyone else gone? Had they been taken while she slept? Her mind spun with questions, none of which she knew the answers to. After wondering terrible thoughts for a few moments, she decided to get up and investigate.
Where could they be? Maybe I should check the Study... Aura did say she was going there to see what she could do about the camera's, didn't she? She couldn't quite remember, but what she had come up sounded reasonable enough. So off Alyssa went to find the Study.
It didn't take very long to get there, and she could hear the chattering of everyone in the room. "You guys should have told me you were coming here, I was worried sick..." She said.

Mark nodded and turned down towards the wires infront of him. He remembered the colored chord was purple. He found it quickly, but it was hard to disconect. He had to cross a red wire and the blue wire of other unimportant lines to keep them thinking the feed was going before he cut the purple wire.
Alex looked around the room until she found an odd book that was out of place. Everything was alphabetized, but this book wasn't. She went back to the others and showed Elais.

Elias followed Alex back to where the offending book was and looked over it confusedly. "I didn't know we alphabetised the books to begin with," he said. "Truthfully, I've only been home for about a week...." Nevertheless, he pulled the book out and flipped it around. "'AAC? The heck?" He used a handy paper clip to unlock the lock and flipped through the pages. There were a few loose pages with designs and diagrams drawn on them, and all the writing was in some strange hieroglyphic language.
Not a code Elisa and I use... He flipped to the back, confused. A tiny circle with an arrow drawn through it caught his eye. "Wait. That was my grandmother's trademark sign when she was young. What is this thing?"

Alex shrugged. "I have no idea." She said.
Mark stood up. "Done."

"Great!" Aura said, standing and retrieving her tools. "I'm sorry I wasn't much of a help," she said embarrassedly. "Thank you!"
She returned to Karin, her feelings mixed. She was elated that the problem with the cameras was solved, but frustrated that she still was not able to do anything to alleviate matters. Never mind. I'll just do my best to not get in anyone's way then...
"How can I help, Karin? Something about cities?"

"Eh, it's ok. I was the one who helped set these up, so I guess we're even." Mark said lounging on a near by wall.
"HEY GUY'S WE GOT ANOTHER CLUE!!" Alex said trying to walk up to where everyone else was at.

Aura heard Alex's voice and glanced around the room. "Should we split up? Some of us can go down to see what the new clue is and the rest of us can stay and continue to search the study?"

"Can you tell me where Elias has traveled to? Specifically cities?" Karin asked, tapping her fingers on the desk in the study. She needed to clear some things up in her mind first, there were too many clues on the bird cage. She had to figure out which ones linked up with which.

MArk lumbered slowly down to where Alex was. He was on high alrert. His little "friends" wouldn't be happy when they found out he disconected the wires. He found Alex and the others perfectly fine. "What do you have?" He asked.
"It's another clue that I found, over there." Alex said pointing to the book case.

"I'll go with him!" Elisa exclaimed and scurried after Mark.
Elias showed Mark the book, thinking hard about his grandmother and was finally forced to admit to himself that he spent too much time away from his family. "Maybe Elisa knows?" he asked, seeing his hyperactive sister bounding down the stairs. She skipped right up to him and gave him a tight hug as a greeting and "thank-goodness-you're-alive" sentiment.
"I know what? And hey! You found the Adventures of the Atlantis Crew!" She peered over Mark's shoulder at the book. "Grandmother's childhood diary thing. I doubt it's a clue. I don't know anything about it, only that it was Grandmother's. I was helping her look for it over the summer but we never found it."
She rambled on. "What about it?"

"Well, Aura said, thinking. "Cities? Most prominent ones I remember are London, Paris, Beijing, Munich, Geneva, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York.... That's just cities though. He spent a lot of time in rural regions...and there was a cruise across the Atlantic Ocean...."

Mark sat silent after seeing the clue.

D*mn it...so he didn't travel anywhere called Atlantis or whatever related to it...no...wait...there was a ship called Atlantis wasn't there? But that was a long time ago...maybe I should see the other clue first before figuring this one out. Karin nodded at Aura, "Thank you for the information. I think we should see the other clue before figuring this one out." She followed Elisa and Mark back to where the rest of the group was, seeing the diary, Karin picked up curiously. The words caught her attention, written in a fancy script was the title: "The Adventures of the Atlantis Crew". She skimmed the first couple pages quickly. Hmm...the ship seems to have landed in the same cities that Mr. Gilfax carved onto the bird cage and in the same order...huh, I actually might have an answer to part of the riddle this time. "You guys mind if I read it?" Karin asked, lifting her eyes off the diary and onto her companions.
