Um. I got a little bit of money, which I'm probably going to spend on a gigantic set of prismacolor markers.
Don't even have a Nintendo DS. crying Sometimes it sucks to be a student; don't have the extra fundage to spend on stuff like that.

BUY TRIAS. THEY HAVE THREE NIBS AND YOU CAN REPLACE THE INK WHEN IT RUNS OUT.

I haven't gotten anything yet. I'll look for Trias. I've never heard of them before. Most artists I've visited at artists' alleys at cons prefer prismacolors. I have a smaller set of prismacolors that work very nicely, but I'll look into the others and see what I can find. EDIT: Upon doing some research. The only comparative comments I found were that Trias are more expensive than Prismacolors... didn't find anything actually comparing quality, durability, etc. On searching through online art shops, Trias advertise 3 individual nibs on their pens. Prismacolors have 2 actual nibs, but advertise 4 because of how the wide tip was designed. Other comparing points... Trias don't have very good options for sets. They cost almost double what a Prismacolor marker would cost. On the other hand, it does appear that they have a greater selection of colors. Prismacolors have 144 colors which I can buy in a nice set, are cheaper than the Trias, which is nice since I'm on a tight budget. For the price of my 144 set of Prismas, I can only get 55 trias. As far as replacing the ink... I didn't find anyone that mentioned that and I couldn't find anyone selling replacement ink in any of the online art shops I checked. I probablly won't actually buy anything, so if you know of a good site where I can get some better information comparing the two, please let me know.

Yes, Trias are a bit more in price, but they are a LOT easier to use. I haven't used mine in a while, so I'm not sure if Trias are alcohol-based like Prismas. Trias dry slower, meaning more time to blend colors. No need for a blender, 4 dollars saved.
I've tried both, but I personally like Trias better.
