"Ah! There you are!" Kai stated, floating over the ground to where Jessica stood. "I thought you were trying to hide from me for a second there." Kai teased, a smile plastered onto his face. Spotting Priya he waved and motioned for her to join them. "Well looks I finally got permission to tell ya what's going on... But it's a real mood killer." he added, sighing.

"Shoot! I was hoping to poke more fun at you before I depressed us all... Oh, well!" Kai said shrugging. He turned to Priya. "No need to tell us. That zap on the forehead you gave Ayra gave her and Malachia all the info I ever want to know... Unless there is stuff you didn't tell her then I'll have to play messenger boy." he chatted, smiling. He was always at easy around Jessica, even if he was a bit wary of the Marines.

Kai sighed. "Oh, please don't! My poor neko brain would probably over-heat." he joked. "And as for now, Ayra is confined to bed rest under penalty of death from her twin brother Malachia... Geesh, don't ever get that guy mad." he chatted away. "But seriously, I'll probably get to tag team the event with Malachia at the next Lunar High Meeting. In about... oh, a day or so." For some reason Kai was a bit more joking and relaxed. He guessed that it was because he finally knew so of what was going on, that even if it spelled impending doom, he could handle what was to come.

Kai cleared his throat and fidgeted. "Well... Things have escalated to a higher level then anticipated." he scratched his head. "Lets take a walk." he stated, nodding toward a path leading through the woods.

Kai raised to chairs from the earth for Priya and Jessica, he indicated to them as he stood in front. "Now correct me if I get any of this wrong Priya." He closed his eyes for a second and gathered light and water around him. "I find visuals help a bit..." he stated, a stressed smile on his face. "This isn't the first time Earth has made contact with our planet. The first time was centuries ago and ended in total disaster for our world... When human arrived the first time, our joint presences attracted the attention of an ancient and evil entity called the Planet Eater. In an attempt to protect both our worlds, the Mother Goddess sent the humans back to their own world with no recollection of any contact or knowledge of our existence... We were not so lucky. The event wiped out the majority of each people's population and left our society in taters..." the visuals that went along with Kai's explanation formed and reformed as they played out in front of Priya and Jessica. He paused to let what he'd say so far set in, it was all going to be a lot to take in at once.

Kai nodded at Priya before continuing. "Needless to say when we learned of your world sending another shuttle to investigate our world, we were more then a bit wary. At the time we did not know what had caused the event or why it had happened, but as Priya pointed out, the event had transmitted a wide portion of the population to the point that they didn't even like to think of what would happen a second time." he took a breath. "A Lunar High Council meeting was called outside of the normal rotation to discuss what actions we would need to take to prevent such a disaster from repeating. Many voiced that we should send the humans back the second they touched down. More reasonable ones such as myself and Ayra, were the voice of reason among the emotion meeting. We had no proof and no theory of what had cause the event, even though our scientists had been working around the clock since its occurrence. So certain boundaries and procedures were put in place in an attempt to protect both worlds. The humans would not be told that they had ever been her before, as far as they were to be concerned they were as new to us as we were to them. Although they couldn't prevent it, the Council frowned upon the idea of any more human and native relationships." Kai paused as the image suddenly changed. "But it wasn't until later that we found out the horrible truth of what happened..."

Kai glanced at Priya to see if she'd have a better way to explain it then he did. "That's part of the problem. We still don't know what exactly the Planet Eater is since no civilization survives after seeing it... With the whole planet eaten and all." he scratched his head. "But that brings us to another important part of all of this. the Ancients..."
