Lucid sank into his plush armchair and smiled. "Yes I know." he said. Pulling a bottle of bloodwyne from a compartment in the side table next to the chair, he formulated a goblet and poured himself some. "And what are you planning to do about it?"

"How the ******** should I know?" he shrugged and grimaced a bit at the sight of the bloodwyne but also sank into a chair across from his father. "Kids were never my forte. Hell, I never really even had the chance to be one. I can't just ignore it though, not when there is a possibility he might be telling the truth. He is a water dragon demon...mostly, he might have a bit of something else in him, but the demon is the strongest. The thing is he talks about his mother, and neither Jay nor I really know who she is. I have no memory of her in any case." he paused and lay his head back on the chair, letting his eyes drift closed. "I don't know what the hell I'm supposed to do Lucid. The kid doesn't have a single clue who or what he is, nor about any of his abilities. He has street written very clearly all over him. Got some smarts on him though, as well as guts. At times he seems more a man than a child and others he goes back to seeming so young of a child, with all of youths fragility. It makes me edgy...I never was good with kids. Yours don't count. Julian is too much like you to show any type of vulnerability and Christiana is like a rather young adult. Sometimes I swear when she looks at me she sees into me, her eyes are far too wise." he joked, though his smile didn't quite reach his eyes.

Lucid heaved a small sigh. He should have guessed this was the reasoning he was going to hear from his adopted son. Sometimes, Seth could be so set minded. "What did I do with you when I took you in, Seth?" he asked calmly, watching the demon over the brim of his goblet. "I taught you. Trusted you." Setting the goblet down, Lucid leaned forward in the chair. "Trust is a two way street with no sidewalks. You either walk it, or you don't. But it does have to start somewhere. You teach him, and I will be here to support and help you as much as possible. Perhaps getting to know him first would be wise. After all, you may be all he has left in this world."

Solaria's eyes fluttered open as she stirred from her sleep. Sitting up, she brought up her hands and let them slide down her face. She blinked a few times to focus her vision, and when she had, she went through her morning routine.
--
After getting a change of clothes, the girl sat on the bed, utterly bored out of her mind. She could've gone and woken Azorath, but knowing him--he's probably still asleep with his mouth hanging open. She smiled at the image and stood up. She figured she might as well explore the gigantic castle.
Solaria walked out of her room and started walking to her left. Turning to an empty hall, she began to hum to the tune of Fur Elise. Her voice echoed throughout the hall. She walked and walked, going to where her feet took her. She wasn't worried about getting lost, she was pretty sure that if she did, she would eventually see someone, then she'd be able to ask for directions.
Absently, she continued to wander, all the while humming.

Seth winced as his fathers words struck home. It was true, Lucid had asked little of him, except that he learn and not steal from the castle. He had planned on staying and taking advantage of the do-gooder vampire for all he was worth, but somewhere along the line...things had changed. He had grown to respect and care for the man who had sheltered and believed in him when no one else had, as well as to love the home he now resided in. Pushing a loose strand of his hair back from his face, he studied his father and sighed once again. "Alright, I suppose you are right." he said quietly, knowing that now there would be no leaving the kid here while he went in search of answers. Marshall would stay, and he would be trusted until he did something to destroy that trust. But for Seth it still didn't fit well, as he held his trust very closely, and it was given to few and not easily. "I suppose I should go make him a meal....and draw him a bath." he added, wrinkling his nose a bit.

Julian watched the small female make her way down the hallway with a rather bored expression. The sound of her humming could be heard from anywhere in the castle, and now she was but a few feet from him, and moving closer, he thought grudgingly. Though dealing with people was by no mean high on his priority list he could still appreciate a woman's form and figure. Leaning against the far wall near the window, he allowed himself a moment to look her over, before turning his attention back to the window where he had been watching the plains in silent contemplation. Comfortably nestled in the shadows, he remained silent, figuring she would do one of two things, see him and stop to say something, or be oblivious to her surroundings and not notice him as she walked past. Either way he wasn't too concerned with her presence.

Despite Solaria's blank expression, she was very much aware of her surroundings. She didn't fail to notice another's presence. Turning by the window, she stopped and looked at him. A smile played on her lips as she greeted him. "Good morning."

With a sigh, Julian turned to meet her gaze with his own. "As the sun has risen I fail to see what is good about it, but yes, hello to you as well." he answered softly, his pale blue eyes taking a swift assessment of her.

Lucid gave Seth a wise smile. "I have already gotten the hot pools set up for him and there is a small meal on the banquet table in the dining hall." he said, glad to have prepared such things ahead of time. He always kept foods of all kinds handy, for those residents that required such things. "Go ahead and wake him. He'll need the bath and food to stay healthy."

Solaria perked an eyebrow at the man before her. She eyed him carefully before offering another smile. "As the sun has risen, I fail to see what's bad about it. Then again, to each their own." She nodded at him and introduced herself. "I'm Solaria Adamant. Whom do I have the pleasure of meeting?" she asked.

Lifting an eyebrow at her spunk, Julian allowed a slight smile to curve his lips, and pushing away from the wall he turned fully toward her. Bowing politely as befitted his station he rose and studied her face. "Julian...Julian Delantour Drevan to be exact." he replied.

"Julian..." Solaria thought for a moment. After awhile, she flashed another smile at Julian. "Nice name. So, care to enlighten me with why you think mornings are bad?" She asked, stepping back and leaning against the wall opposite the male.

Seth smiled and moved swiftly back towards the teens room. He gave himself little time to reflect on hings and allow them to cloud his mind and make him hesitate, but instead, he moved silently into the room. Only to pause at the sight that greeted him. Marshall lay on his side curled up almost into a ball in the center of the bed, one arm was draped rather protectively over the cat that also lay curled into the boys warmth. Both were sound asleep. For the first time since laying eyes on the kid, he allowed a genuine smile, he was almost sorry to wake Marshall but his father was right. He would need the nourishment and the bath would benefit everyone involved. Moving over to the door he pushed it shut with enough force that it thudded against the frame before clicking easily into place.

Shaking his head, he once again leaned his long frame against the wall and watched her, amusement rather obvious in his eyes. "Being a vampire has it's drawbacks of course. And as the suns rather harsh rays appeal to you, I can assume you are not one." he answered coolly.

Solaria's voice vibrated throughout the hall as she laughed. "Just because I find morning appealing, it doesn't mean I'm not a vampire. But, you are half correct, I suppose. I'm not all vampire."
She smirked at what she was about to say next, most people thought she was being arrogant when she would mention this fact about herself. "I'm a bit of an angel, you see."
