Breed Specific Legislation. More commonly known as pit bull bans, though the bills usually include other breeds such as German Sheperds, Dobermans and Rottweilers. Did you know that there isn't even a breed of dog known as a Pit Bull? Its a group of breeds. So you will never see a full bred pit bull, 'cause that breed doesn't exist.

The bill is a ban on any 'pit bull type' dog. There isn't an actual breed called a pit bull, so basically any short haired dog with a muscular build and squarish face would fall into that category. Although people have reported that their lab mixes have been deemed pit bulls by misinformed animal control officers. German Sheperds, Dobermans, Rottweilers and any mixes of these breeds can be included in the bans as well. Dogs that fall into this pit bull type category would either be forcibly euthanized, or they would have to be registered as dangerous dogs and wear muzzels at all times. Also no one would be able to get a pit bull in the future.

That bill will NEVER pass... there are too many dog shows, too many orginizations and too much information on the "Bulldog" class dog. They are actually extremely friendly and loving. In fact, the most attacks that come from a dog actually come from Dalmations.

There have been bills passed to LIMIT the breeding of these dogs, but not cutting them off all together.
Also, it's cause the Italians are like, "Yo, dis dawg won't shuttup... jus' ban it, Luis."

Well, Disneyland is taking over SoCal slowly but surely. They're expanding again soon. And also, they banned heavy metal/hard rock from House of Blues Anaheim...
