have an interesting plot idea with one of my characters. it's bianca and she's currently at harp's river. would appreciate if someone appears

honestly, i don't know what the schedule is so i'm not going to randomly appear in a classroom for no apparent reason and everyone seems dead. also there is no purpose to go into the hallways or what not since i would just be there to make friends. i don't want to make friends at the moment, i want to do something with the plot of this rp.

and i know what you're going to say. it may seem like i'm not trying to "be friends" with everyone but i get bored of it. simply talking with others is getting old, once again, i say that yes, but it is true. i would love to be more involved with the main plot of the academy but it seems like it is stagnated.

i'm just trying to do something fun because the routine is always the same and it is getting old. you can ignore it and i'll just save it for the weekend.

I'm going to be super, super frank. Please don't think I'm mad because I'm totally not. But it's your own fault you don't know the system. There is a thread that flat out states the system. Your characters have class schedules. You are a smart kid. You can figure it out with minimal amounts of deductive reasoning. To be blunt: The system isn't that difficult to comprehend and if you don't know it, it's because you haven't made the effort to do so, which is seriously uncool. Many people who have been in the guild LESS time than you, are totally up to speed on the system.

If you want to do plot, you can always do it at the school ground where 1. Your character should be and 2. all the other characters are.

Another thing is that if you want to do a plot, why don't you post in here and work it out with other people in the guild and make them a part of it instead of coming up with some idea that revolves entirely around your character, go off in a random location and do it --then try to beg others to come basically fawn over your character and watch you do a plot that is centric entirely to them?

Basically why don't you actually work with and include others instead of just going off to do your own thing?

Plots are great--lots of us do plots that revolve around our characters but we work with the system and integrate the plot into the guild--we don't just wander off and do our own thing. Rosentale isn't about "Let's all do our own thing, la di da." It's about "Let's all RP together and collaborate together within the system the crew worked extremely hard to come up with."

And not to put too fine a point on it but if the guild is "boring" and "getting old" then you are always free to find another place that is more interesting and fresh. =)

Well I'm certainly glad you "sort of" like us all. =) But you're certainly right that the system is not going to change anytime soon. After all, only a very few people with certain types of characters seem to really have a problem with it. But it's awfully nice of you to "suck it up" for us so long. <3


The super, super cool thing is that if you were to actually work with other people to create a plot, most likely a plot would be created that could work (I feel like I'm starting to repeat myself here) within the system and not just get dropped when the time skips. Lots of plots have crossed the time skipping boundaries. That's because these plots were created with the system in mind, so they work with it.

Instead of us creating something random, then pouting when it doesn't work. Because as much as we "sort of" like you too, the guild is never going to bend to the whim of one player. It will always rush along its own way and drag the players with it.

So again, to sum it up. Yes, it's awesome for new people to get involved. It's awesome for new plots to emerge. But those people and plots WILL work with the guild. That's just how it's going to work. If the players have a problem with that, they are totally welcome to find a new guild that has a less restrictive system. But for Rosentale, the system has really cut down on the chaos and allowed people to follow along with multiple characters and plots far easier than a guild where everything is in chaos and people doing their own thing.

You may not like it--which, hey, totally fine--but many of us actually DO. It keeps everything on the same page and flowing at the same pace. For you, it's a boring inconvenience...and I'm truly sorry you feel that way. But all I can say is that if you hate it so much, finding another place may make you happier.

If you want to stay--then why don't you post your plot ideas and get more people involved properly so it won't be at odds with the rest of the RP? Then everyone would be much happier. ^^
