That is actually a pretty amazing idea, I had something similar for a Kenpachi who achieved bankai. It was called the Trial of Warriors. It was an inescapable circle that dispelled all kido and illusionary techniques. It forced you to go toe to toe in either blade or hand combat. Very fun Bankai for a Kenpachu.
