It was anti-climatic. Very predictible, and Light freaking out and loosing his cool after being all cool was just dumb, as was him blurting out how he won, etc.
Near is L's true successor, and mimics L himself, so in a way, L won. I just don't like the whole idea because it's close to Wesley Crusher's smartassery in TNG.

I'd rather watch L the movie than the second half of Death note personally. It's not half bad.
