And of course, all the classics on Nickelodeon (Legends of the Hidden Temple, Guts, Rocco's Modern Life, etc.)
Those shows were all great... Nickelodeon used to be so fun to watch :[

I was upset when Nick GaS (games and sports) was taken off the air. It showed Legends of the Hidden Temple, Guts, Double Dare, and--in the wee hours of the morning--Nick Arcade. heart

I still have an old orange VHS of five episodes of Rocko's Modern Life. I need to hook up the old VHS player. ninja
Legends of the Hidden Temple and Where in the World is Carmon Sandeago(sp?) where my two favorate kids game shows when I was little.

Pokemon and Sailor Moon where my favorate cartoons. in Elementry/Middle Schools.

//Wanders back in.// Swore off forums, blogs, and webcomics for a few months in order to concentrate on school.

Quick side-question: Should hematite feel like it's, I guess, burning or tingling when it touches my skin? I got a necklace with hematite beads today and it makes me feel very strange in contact with my neck. Google is not helping me. Could this be an allergic reaction, or some kind of energy reaction, or me just being crazy and overtired? I've never felt this way when putting on a necklace or handling stones, but I've never worn hematite before.

I hope everyone is well. I'll be around more and see if I can catch up a little.

I'm debating whether or not to buy one of the sacred-texts.com discs. It'd be easier to have a lot of the books on disc instead of having to search for them on the site, but then I'd have to explain to my parents why I spent forty dollars for a CD. neutral

On another note, why does Borders never have any of the books on my reading list?

Every time I step into a Borders or Barnes and Noble I look for Urban Primitive, Hermaphrodeities, and Dark Moon Rising by Raven Kaldera and they never have them in stock. I know I could get them from the internet but once I start getting things I want on the internet it's hard to stop....

I'm currently ticked at this particular Borders anyway 'cause they moved the gender studies section from psychology to language reference. rolleyes Unfortunately, the only bookstores in my reasonable-driving-time area are that Borders and a tiny mostly-lousy-fiction bookstore near Wal-Mart so I think my only option is the internet. ><

Missed you DD!

Myself, I hate hematite. I can't wear it. If it is bothering you, don't wear it- but what you are experiencing is akin to what I feel after prolonged contact with the stuff.

I'd never really gotten it when people said they "couldn't wear" a stone, except perhaps nickel allergies. "It's a rock, it just sits there, doesn't it?" (I feel completely insensitive to most energy phenomena.) But it was the weirdest feeling... I'm going to try wearing it again today to see if it was a fluke. If it's too bothersome I can always put the pendant on a different chain to eliminate the skin contact. Thanks.

Welcome back, good call and I hope you did well as a result.

I love hematite. It's one of my favourite stones. But you wouldn't be the first I've known to have such a reaction. I presume it's been cleansed.

TheDisreputableDog
Could this be an allergic reaction

It could be a chemical allergy, yes.
It's an iron ore, you could be suffering from an electrochemical reaction to the electricity generated by your sweat, the metal in the iron ore and the metal in the chain or between the metal in the iron ore and the carbon in your skin.

TheDisreputableDog
or some kind of energy reaction

Definitely possible. I can't scientifically explain that one, but I'm sure some day there'll be one.

TheDisreputableDog
or me just being crazy

Also a possibility, but I'd discount it for the time being. You're approaching it too rationally for that.

TheDisreputableDog
and overtired?

More likely than the crazy idea.

Cool. There's much to catch up on.

I've been wondering if I should get into avatar... I've heard it's good from others too. But I haven't yet because the show is sadly associated with an idiot who made one of my good friends' third college semester miserable. He also listens to reggaeton. ~_~

Tea watched a few episodes at my place. I wasn't terribly impressed with the show. ninja

Then again, I have a terribly sick and morbid sense of humour, which would explain my love for shows like Rocko's Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy, and Metalocalypse. I have a hard time getting into shows that don't match that.

Ah. Cleansing. That would be a no. Might you have a suggestion for that?

In jewellery, I used to bury it for a week starting on the full moon. These days I treat it with Working
In stones, I stick them in salt water (preferably sea salt, as table salt is artificially made)

Actually, this is me just having fun with it now. I think that occasionally he has good points but again, totally the wrong way. Heck, I think that kindergarden Hellenic thing he wrote was sorta cute.

HEHEHE. Too bad not many other people can see the humor in the situation.
