Hmm? Oh it was a major center of learning then. A lot of books were published there.
*he pages through the book carefully* This is what caught my attention. I'll try to translate, but my German's not very good.*

*Bard looks at Maggie excitedly* "Die Zeitrand"... do you know what that translates to?

Die Zeitrand . . . *she echoes, turning the thought over in her mind. Her eyes widen. Could it be . . ? She doubts her own ability to guess correctly, but then, if he's this excited about it . . . * Does it . . . could it mean, the Brink . . ?

That's exactly what I think it means. *he beams and hugs Maggie*
I think the person that wrote this has been here. I need to translate it and find out. *he flips through* There's a lot of math though. I'm not sure I have a prayer of understanding that part of it.
*He hands the book to Maggie* Will you hold this for me for the time being? I want to go take a shower.

*It flickers. Looking about, it sees the place again. Only now, others there. Very lovely one, just before it with her back turned. Easy to touch. Yearns to touch that hair again.... Opens its hand and reaches out to touch.... Until Masters give it the punish-pain.... Jerking its hand back it lets out a shriek. Even then, Masters inflict more punish-pain. Not able to stay in this place.... Not able to focus through the pain....*

*Maggie is a little taken aback by Mystina's enthusiasm* Ehm . . . *she pats her shoulder gently, not wanting to be rude, and takes a cautious step back* I've been coming here for quite some time, I--
*she cuts off as she hears the shriek behind her, her heart clenching suddenly in her chest. She jerks around, wide-eyed, and sees . . . . nothing* What in the name of Heaven . . . ? *she murmers, oblivious to Kara's entrance*

*giggles and gives Kara a hug in greeting, and nods* Sure, Maggie, would you like anything while I'm back there? *bounces over to the bar and starts searching behind it, pulling out some wine, which, she didn't know what THAT was, and beer, and whatever else she found* ummm....which one of these is it?
