Just because a person does something for free does not entitle them to be above criticism. Just because it's "theirs".. doesn't entitle them to be above criticism. If I offer to host a foot-race, then I run up at the last second and shove you to the ground then shout "GO!" for the other racers, are you going to just accept it because I'm the one running the event, or are you going to ask what the ******** just happened?

That's like saying it's okay for someone to beat their child half to death because the child happens to be theirs and that you shouldn't question it. That's not how it works. Something that is unfair or unethical is unfair or unethical no matter the circumstances, no matter who is doing it. The argument that "It's theirs so they can do what they want" always falls apart when you're dealing with a social context where a person is in authority over other people. It doesn't work. It has never worked. It will never work. Authority without oversight cannot function. This is like.. democracy 101.

I've run tournaments, and even though the idea of running a tournament without criticism, or without ever having to explain my actions or decisions is nice.. it's also not possible. I'm going to make mistakes. When I do, I need to be able to be told that these mistakes happened, someone has to point them out to me so I can correct them.

Arguing for authority without oversight - that is, that a person can do whatever they want because the event is theirs, and if you don't like it then too bad - is basically arguing for an event to be shitty and for the participants to be treated like s**t because the staff doesn't have to account for anything. Again, this is pretty much the worst possible argument you can give on the situation because it doesn't help anyone. It doesn't fix anything. It's like saying "I'm okay with being treated like s**t."

I live in the belt buckle of the Bible Belt. Believe me, I've seen my fair share of arguments that don't help anybody. This is one of them.

It's not immoral or unethical or anything. It's a fictional tournament between fictional characters with completely made up results.

It's okay.

No one really cares how shitty Vintrict is at running the GTB, if he even is. I'm still here, you're still here, Molestia's still here. Even when he does ******** retarded s**t people still show up, and still post here every day.



Let's stop complaining about s**t that doesn't matter and do something constructive. Like tear the breastplates off these bitches so their titties can bounce around IC. My character ought to be hitting puberty soon, need some titters.

Ok. Well, you lost, I won, that's life. Vintrict's not giving you another 2 imaginary points doesn't matter. Vintrict's bad profile grading doesn't matter. It's whatever, we've got what we've got.

The GTB is still running fine. Sure there are some problem people, but that's always the case. In the end everything will turn out, and then we'll all be on to something else.


I'm not discounting your feelings or opinion, I'm just saying that running headfirst into that brick wall gets old after awhile. At some point you've got to stop, look at the wall, and decide "gonna rail bitches against that wall".

Yeah. It could be worse though. There could be 0 sexy ladies here and being here could be mandatory.
