Jer0nim0 I never knew being painfully honest hurts more when you're the one being that bluntly honest. Now I feel freakishly self-conscious for admitting anything. But I needed to say it at the same time. Gah. It gets easier to be brutally honest as you get older and keep at it.

Back for a sec--It's one thing to be critical, it's another to be honest about how you feel. @,@ I'm normally brutally honest about everything, and I get told that repeatedly, but just saying something straight up about how I'm feeling is...weird. And thankies Kammy. <3 Also, random guilty secret: omg I'm making too many of these cheese sandwiches. ;A; So good, and so easy to make, but not very healthy. I need exam brainfud anyway, dammit, but ffffff.

I'm getting seriously freaked out. Only my two cousins and my sister that are all in the Navy have the number to my blackberry. It's the lifeline between the four of us. And now some person keeps texting me in Spanish. I told them that they seriously needed to tell me who they were and all they said was 'I seriously am your friend'.

Vinicius Fernagon I'm getting seriously freaked out. Only my two cousins and my sister that are all in the Navy have the number to my blackberry. It's the lifeline between the four of us. And now some person keeps texting me in Spanish. I told them that they seriously needed to tell me who they were and all they said was 'I seriously am your friend'. Probably a wrong number. I got intermittent pre-recorded calls from some optometrist in Nevada for years because they thought my number belonged to one of their clients.

I'm taking Human Bio. One of the things we're doing in the class is dissection. I've only participated in a dissection once, which was years before I became a vegetarian and I was so squeamish my partner did most of it. Eating meat is something I can just be like "don't need it, not doing it" while dissection is for educational purposes. Gah this is gonna suck. If I make it through the semester without puking or having a "I'm vegetarian please let me out of this!" freak out, I expect a trophy.

When we did dissections in highschool, I asked to be excused from them. I did these online ones, where you just look at pictures. It was still gross, but I felt more comfortable with it.
I used to be against animal testing until I learned a bit more about it in physiology last year, but I still believe that dissections for general biology (i.e., non med or pre-med) are unnecessary. Plastic models can be just as useful. I do not believe that the slaughter of thousands of animals is justified just so people can see the way their organs/body systems are laid out.
In Anatomy/Physiology in college, I was a bit better with it because we only looked at certain body parts (sheep's brain and heart, cow's eye) and the rest of the bodies were used for other things, like food. Additionally, there was only one each of - so we only needed ONE brain in total and ONE eye and ONE heart).
