Icarus had been napping when she heard a knock on her door. She yawned and got up, wrapping the blanket around her before answering her door. She smiled a little, seeing Benjamin. "Hey Spain. I slept all day didn't I?"

Benjamin nodded. "You sure did, pájaro. Didn't miss anything in history, though. It was a lecture. If you ever need notes, I take excellent ones," he said with a shrug. "Can't say anything for your other classes. Did you at least get good sleep?"

Icarus nodded some and yawned again. "Yeah... I slept really well..." she said, still a little groggy, but waking up. She guessed she didn't miss anything in her other classes. Class was boring anyways.

Benjamin nodded and rocked on his feet, unsure of what else to say. "¿Qué decía la carta?" he asked in a quiet voice, using Spanish as if it were a secret code. He had a feeling most of the students at the school couldn't speak Spanish well enough to understand, and plus, it didn't look like anybody was around anyways. [OOC:] "What did the letter say?"

Icarus took in the boy's question before grabbing the letter and handing it to him. "You read it. As I said, I wish people would stop being so darn cryptic around me."

Benjamin took the letter and read through it. He frowned and reread the sentence where the writer mentioned that he'd taken over Icarus' case. "What does this mean? That you were a ward of the state or something?" he asked casually. He handed her the letter again and crossed his arms, wondering if she'd actually answer him. It wasn't his style to pry like that, but he was still curious. Maybe because Icarus was his only ally...

Icarus scratched her head some as she tucked the letter back into her pocket. "I don't know... Maybe they adopted me or suggested to the state I go here, I have no clue. But I'm here and apparently I'm stuck here. So might as well try and find another ally or two."

Benjamin frowned a little more. "What happened to your parents?" he asked softly. He wondered if he should just turn around and leave at that point. After all, he had a feeling Icarus wouldn't take kindly to all this talking about her and her possible lack of parents.

Benjamin, not sure if Icarus was being serious or defensive decided she was being defensive. He crossed his arms again and tilted his head. If I have to give you this lesson I will never be able to look you in the eye. If you didn't know your parents you didn't know your parents."

Icarus growled a little and poked Benjamin in the chest. "Listen here you. I never knew my parents. I was raised in an orphanage in Nimbasa City all my life until the courts told me to report here. So I didn't know my parents, and I guarantee you I never will." she said, stopping her poking to just brooding.

Benjamin held his hands up in defeat and took a few steps back. "All right, all right, settle down, pájaro. But if you ever need somewhere to crash on the holidays, España es hermosa." With that, Bnejamin turned down the hall and started towards the staircase to do the scant amount of homework he'd collected that day. And possibly find out what he'd missed in art and Spanish. [OOC:] Spain is beautiful

Icarus nodded some as the Spaniard left. She then retreated back into her room and locked all the locks. The girl then sat at her desk and sighed some, wondering what to do. Like she was going to get any homework. Pah. Not today.

Benjamin found that there was a blank canvas leaning against his door, as well as a note. He tilted his head, picked up the canvas, and entered his dorm room, hanging his key on a hook that hadn't been there that morning. He then went to sit at his table and he opened up the note. He didn't recognize the handwriting, but it basically told him that the assignment was to paint anything in his bedroom. He shrugged and tossed the canvas on the table, crumpled up the note, and tossed that away. He would probably do that Thursday night. Instead, he pulled out his history book to do the assigned reading. IT seemed lame that he'd do the reading, but he found it always got him bored enough to zip through the rest of his homework.

Sadly, Icarus did go pick up her homework. And surprisingly to her teachers, she had the assignments turned in to them almost immediately. She also headed up to the library and started getting her text books together.
