Kit's ears went back as she tried to listen to Jaime but couldn't concentrate with exploding shrimp. Suddenly the shrimp caught fire quickly and turned to ash. "Could you two stop for two damn minutes? You act like five year olds. First with the pillows this morning and now the shrimp. Do I seriously have to consider putting you guys in ******** time out?!"

"But he made them explode!" Tala said, fishing a slimy shrimp out of her bra.
Kurai just looked at her. She knew better than to get involved.
Jaime just watched impassively.

"ok...me be good" Damian said shrinking to his own personal space and ate his food. he fought the temptation to toss one more shrimp, the shrimp might not be the one to go up in flames

Her eyes narrowed at the both of them before her attention went back to Jaime. "Sorry about that. I didn't think I had kids on this team but apparently I do. Please continue."

"Sorry......mom" Tala muttered under her breath.
Kurai was close enough to hear her and her eyes went huge, but she remained silent.
For the first time a tiny hint of a smile flickered at the edges of jaime's mouth. "Childish yes, but they are rather amusing in a way. So what else you want to know?"

Damian had been picking the shrimp out of his food when he heard Tala. he scooted away in case she caught fire. he could toss the shrimp in to the fire if she did

Clenching her fists she snarled and stood up. "Y'know what instead of taking my anger out on you guys I'm gonna go downstairs now....Jaime...welcome to the team and we'll talk more later." She said through clenched teeth and then she walked out of the room and slammed the door to the basement when she went through it. Five seconds later everyone could hear Toad screaming at the top of his lungs.

"oops" was all Tala said.
Jaime looked at her, "Perhaps that was not the wisest thing you could have said, kid"
Kurai snorted at the understatement, and decided to join Kit. Besides, she hadn't gotten to try out the whips yet.
Tala got up silently and walked out of the house.

Damian was getting weirded out by the awkward silence, so he picked up a shrimp off the couch and offered it toward Jamie "shrimp?" Damian asked innocently.

"While I appreciate your generous offer, I must confess an allergy to crotch shrimp. Though if you'd like the rest of my rice?" Jaime offered it, then leaned against the wall, ignoring the sounds of the 'interrogation' going on down stairs. He had been on the hunt for 9 days, and was exausted.

His vision was fading. Everything was blurry and he was in so much pain he just wanted to pass out and not wake up again. Mortimer's breathing was heavy and he could faintly hear Kit ranting on and the frustration in her voice. Something must have pissed her off before she came down here because she hadn't been using her powers before on him. Just tools. He closed his eyes and screamed as a fresh burn started forming on his right thigh. Seconds passed and the water soon went on. They wanted him hurt but not dead, not yet. He had that much to be thankful for. "...Let....me..." Her fist was in his face before he could finish. It felt like he lost another two teeth as he spit them out on the ground. Nope, make that three. He thought wearily.

Damian happily accepted the food and bounced happily till he heard a loud scream. He winced a bit and looked toward the basement "i think we made her mad"Travon came down, wet hair and all, and decided to raid the fridge he found some of pizza they had had the night before. he was too lazy to reheat into he bit in to the cold chicken pizza. he noticed Jerun was back but he didn't look happy, then again since toad went MIA they wee all kind of in the dumps. he wasn't sure if rem was he didn't know her well yet

Rem glared down at Jerun's body and took control of her powers. She heard someone in the kitchen and went out to see Travon. "Travon, Jerun is no longer part of the team. He opted not to obey so I had to cut our losses. I'm going to need your help getting rid of any evidence of him being here." She said without a hint of emotion on her face.

Jaime spoke without opening his eyes, "So, Damian was it? Was that you that exploded the shrimp or the girl? Quite interesting I have to say."
Kurai picked up one of the whips and flexed it experimentally. "Ya know, you do kinda have to give him a chance to talk." she said in a mild tone. She took an experimental snap of the whip, snapping it in contact with Toad's crotch reigon.
Tala stomped in and went down to the basement. "Want the good news or the bad news? Bad news is Kelven was doing a little 'side' research on ballistics, and he "confided' in me that he was sick of how he was treated, so the good news is, we won't have to worry about him anymore."

"yesh i made the little bastards go boom....you should have seen the pillow fight this morning we were all cover in feathers like chickens.""what the heck happened?." he said seeing Jerun on the floor. he could help but be mad, but he hid it well. last thing they needed was another dead team mate. he didn't say anything, he probably say some thing that get him killed Akira came downstairs quickly she has sensed Jerun's death practically as it happened. "ok what happened" she said and noticed he was behind the couch on the floor. "why did you have to kill him, "you could have just transferred him or something." she said in an almost pleading way she wanted to run over and try and bring him back. but she knew Jerun wouldn't have wanted her to die as well rem seemed in the killing mood at the moment
