Kayariy I just had to realize that, due to all the people posting everything to do with all the new dragons before they even hatched, chances are high that all the little surprises and traits my sprites have might be revealed before they are released sad Why do people have to make egg guides, and make things not a surprise? not to mention that making egg guides is breaking site rules...
Is TJ going to punish those who are doing that?

I'm sorry about the death. crying I've done my best. We have to get more members to come in and actually click and not just drop off their babies and run.

Is TJ going to punish those who are doing that?At the moment, it isn't an official rule, just a "the artists don't want this. please listen to them". But me and a few other people are trying to get him to make it an official, punishable offense. Because several people in the mass release released what the new dragons would look like and EVERYTHING about them and how to get them, before they had even hatched. It's just really annoying to cook up an interesting concept that you think will add new variety to the game, and leave people guessing for a while, and find that someone released all info about it, taking all the surprise away. On the dragoncave forums, at least, there's a lot of "OMG we need new things" because things that were supposed to have a lot of mystery to them and cause people to spend a month figuring out how to get them were revealed to EVERYONE within a day of release by people making egg guides and posting how to get things. It really is insulting to those who spent time and effort making things to be a challenge, and to be found out through experimentation, only to have the answers posted everywhere. It's a simple fact that new releases of any feature cause strain on the server for a while. Thus new releases can only occur once in an x amount of time. Thus the new releases must have SOME kind of mystery about them, to keep people guessing and give cause for experimentation and trial and error. Otherwise within a few days of a new release, everyone will know what to do to get everything new, and it will become boring until another release can be made.

I'm full on hatchlings, or I would... plus I have tons of golds. Problem is, they're all related to my stock of reds (I breed golds with reds) and I need one that isn't in the family.

This is not how I am... Well, I'm trying to be fair, so I'm not holding it for anyone. Whoever wants it and can take it gets it first. But I seem to have a lot of luck breeding golds, I've bred 6 total from the one I picked up from the cave. (I only kept 2 of them, 3 if you count the egg.) So I'm sure I'll breed more. This is not how I am... And, honestly, I have no breeding strategy. Lol. I pretty much just pick a random partner ever time I breed, for variety. >w< My poor scroll's like one big orgy. DX I have become C O M F O R T A B L Y N U M B ...

I thought she was going to make it, too, cuz she started to mature, and still had some time left, and next thing I know there's a gravestone on my scroll where my vine baby used to be!

Hey, everyone! I'm back. Sorry to be MIA for the past many days. RL issues ... big time. But everything satisfactorily resolved and slowly regaining my sanity.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO ROBYNN (aka pd2care) for holding down the fort here and doing the Incubator and Infirmary! Take a break! You've more than earned one!!! heart
