Tryan froze, his teeth burried in the chunk of meat, but when nothing happened immediately in response to Ontaros's hand being on his head, he resumed attempting to shread the remains of the beef. In the next instant, he felt a sharp pain near one of his ears and spun around, snarling and snapping, to confront whatever was behind him this time. He looked all around him, even up at the ceiling, but didn't make the connection. His chest heaved as he glared down the hall, but when nothing revealed itself to him, he began to calm down again. It took several minutes, but he eventually returned to the last few scraps of his meal. His tail was twitching again, but now there was a distinct agitation in it.

Ontaros feels a little guilty for taking the feather but after watching Tryan's reaction couldn't help but snicker a little under his breath. "I take it you were quite hungry then, hmmm? Maybe I'll show you the way outside soon. I'll try to keep live prey in the woods for you, hows that?"

Tryan hadn't left any visible sign of the meat on the dish it had been on, but continued to lick it idly as Ontaros spoke. Occasionally, he would pause to stare at Ontaros, but mostly he just sat calmly licking the dish like it was an icecream cone or something. Finally, he was satisfied and sat quietly, waiting for something else to happen.

Zejx looked over all the food. "Wait, what? You expect me to eat all of this food? You know that I don't eat very much. How in the world do you expect me to eat all of this?" He pulled back a chair and began to sit down. That's when Silver spoke up. "Wife!?" Suddenly the chair slipped out from under him. He instinctively reached forward to grab on to something but all he found was a bowl of oatmeal. Down he went, as did the food. He was now sitting on the ground with a bowl of oatmeal upside down on his head. He just sat there, thinking about what the woman had called Tyera.

Zejx nodded his thanks to Silverfang as he stood up. He picked up the chair and sat down at the table. "No. It's not anything like that. At least not yet." He looked down at all the food again. "So, how much of this do I still have to eat after you kinda showered it all in cider?"

"Apologize for what? What did I do wrong?" He looked down at the table. "I can't always be around you know. Especially with the..." He stopped himself before mentioning the corruption. "I.. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to... Sorry." He just sat there like a child that was just scolded.

Now he had done it. Once again, being completely unlike himself. Seeing the physical appearance of the corruption really must have phased him. He turned and embraced Tyera. "You're right. I are so sorry. I will always be here for you. No matter what. I promise."

Though he wasn't really hungry, he wrote something down anyway. He set the quill down and looked up at Silver. "Zejx it is. Nice to meet you. Sorry about all this. We've... been though a lot the last couple years and aren't used to being able to just sit down and not have to worry about someone trying to kill us."

"Well, we aren't exactly sure at this moment. At least not our final destination." Zejx looked away from the group. "But I'm sure the underworld is a much nicer place then anywhere a being capable of the evils I have seen is waiting." He continued to just look around the room, not really looking for anything, just looking.
