The Female of the Species Molestia. If you hate this tournament so much, please just leave. It's not about hating it so much as it is that a lot of this s**t is asinine. I'd like to see a tournament actually be successful and ran in a not totally quarter-assed way for once. We have legitimate complaints and they're never taken into consideration, which is why the whole thing has been deteriorating instead of improving over the past couple of years. I don't think it's much to suggest anything that would relieve some burden off your workload. But you know what, maybe I'm just going to give up before Tres and stop giving feedback since it obviously doesn't matter.

No. Farmer Abraham Washinton, The Champion of Husbandry is a good name. The Wife's Kitchen doesn't make me think of Chinese food, it makes me think of an old Italian mobster who bought a restaurant for his wife would stop bitching about how she does nothing aside from looking at shoes, or I might be overthinking this.

I don't expect every person to listen, but I think when/if they're the ones on the receiving end of some sort of BS, they look back at the warning and go "So this was what they were talking about.. fair enough."
Like Sigil said, he thought Tres was just whining about not getting his character into the tournament back during profile grading.. but now that he's seen how things are on the ground once the tournament started, he realized that there was some pretty poor decision making going on.

Lord Haelstrom @Tres: Well yeah. 2012's HoH was my first foray running it, and while I feel glad about what I could accomplish, I learned a ridiculous amount. Don't trust people to do things for you. Don't live with fellow judges. Prioritize dates over quality (to a realistic degree; still have baseline levels of quality.) I'll be involved in the next nasty incarnation of 2013. And I'll probably be involved in GTB VII sadly. We've got nothing but room to grow as a community, even if it makes me sick to my stomach to watch some of this s**t sometimes. I'd still call that a net gain. Yeah. Though I think like anything else, bad s**t hurts the community because when people don't have fun and when people encounter bullshit they leave. Thats why I'm always advocating the way I do things because every time someone has a bad fight, it turns them off from this sort of role play. I've always enjoyed this sort of role play and in order for us to get fresh faces, it has to not suck.

From what I recall of your rantings, you apparently ran an amazing tournament that was better than anything I've even fought in. Let alone was a part of the staffing for. So there is a successful tournament. The one you run. The one you can focus on.

The thing is, by the time they're on the receiving end, they know nearly as well as we do. All we have is seniority on the s**t pile, nothing more; you know what I mean?
I enjoy being right, but that doesn't contribute much on its own.

So there is a successful tournament. The one you run. The one you can focus on. And you know what? I'm going to keep working with Tres to make something even better. The big advantage that I personally have over most people? I try my absolute best to keep things professional. But I guess I take this s**t a little more seriously than most people. With anything I do, I always try to do my best. That and I'm actually willing to listen to input. I'm capable of saying when I messed up and I make an effort to fix it. That doesn't go on around here, and that's why there's so much ranting. I wouldn't be ranting if Vin would simply admit to his mistakes and just attempt to correct them. As long as he's learning from the experience then I don't care if it's perfect. But he's not learning, and hasn't been for years. This is why he's banned from everything but his own event.

Dude I'm a huge fan boy of a lot of stuff RP related. A lot of my favorite characters are RP characters made by other people. I also like it when people read my fights and give me feedback... If everything was Vintrict and bullshit, I'd have left a long time ago.
