Benjamin, too, left and headed to his room to sort through the loot. He found himself seated at a long table, working through the pile. He put the two masks aside, and sorted out a few trinkets into a pile of jewelry, joining the fox carved necklace he'd found. There was a strangely embroidered chef's hat amongst his loot, and he ran his fingers over it for a bit. It was nice... He could cook a few things, but nothing too fancy. This clearly belonged to someone who could. Then he noticed a book sitting under the table that he hadn't noticed. Picking it up, he found the cover read in Spanish: El linaje de Mesilici. He wondered what this could possibly be. [OOC:] The Lineage of Mesilici

Icarus remained in her room, continuing to sleep. Though not everything was great. Nightmares had returned and they were wreaking havoc upon the girl's mind. Horrible images of demons and marauders of death. Corpses and wars flashing through her subconscious, making the poor bird writhe in her sleep, sweat pouring down her face as the torture continued.

Benjamin had been going through the book of Mesilici's lineage, scanning through the branches of it. He managed to find a couple of potential candidate to whom the necklace could belong to. Lunora, one of the first inhabitants. Or her daughter, Yumi. Or her granddaughter, Myra.... The list kept going of people supposedly recorded as fox demons, though he didn't buy into that stuff.

Finally the nightmares released the girl, letting her shoot up, screaming. She panted hard, looking around her room to find it the same it had been before she had gone to sleep. Icarus wiped the sweat from her forehead and removed the raven pendant from around her neck. She then went to her bathroom and splashed some water on her face, wondering why she was dreaming these things.

Benjamin finally found himself sleepy, and he yawned, putting the book on the table and putting on pajamas this time. He crawled into his bed, flopping down face-down and falling right to sleep. His dream this time was of the little dragons he and Icarus had rescued, dancing around with a couple of much larger dragons. He frowned even in his dream, knowing that such things were totally impossible.

Icarus exited her room that night, going down to the garage where her Vespa rested. Though it had no gas, that didn't mean she could tinker with it. And that's where she was, the following morning, still tinkering with her bike, trying to not be affected by no sleep.

Benjamin got up and headed to breakfast, dressed in jeans and a t-shirt again. He knew he had only one more day to make friends before classes started, and so far he was up one punk girl and down eight jocks. So when he entered the dining hall and every empty seat was suddenly filled, he sighed, grabbed two breakfast packs, a pair of chopsticks, a fork, and two bottles of water before leaving. He had a feeling he knew where Icarus was, and sure enough, she was there in the garage. He sat next to her Vespa, set down her breakfast with the chopsticks and water, before opening his own meal and offering a piece of bacon to the white fluffy dragon that had just landed on his shoulder. "Buena mañana, niña," he said to the dragon, smiling. [OOC:] "Good morning, little girl."

Icarus stopped her tinkering, hearing footsteps and smelling breakfast. Gods that smelled good. She rolled out from under her scooter and sat up, seeing her breakfast through the pair of goggles she was wearing. "Gracias, amigo." she muttered, starting to eat. She didn't want to take her goggles off as that would show just how tired she was. As she ate, the black dragon climbed up into the Vespa's seat and whined to Icarus. She looked to the beast and fed it some bacon. She smiled a little as the black reptile purred and nuzzled against her.

Benjamin leaned against the nearby wall as he ate. He'd been alienated before his first real day of school. That took some talent, he had to admit to himself. "Plan on being alone all year, pájaro?" he asked, munching on some sausage and eggs.

Icarus glanced to the Spaniard and scoffed, setting her plate aside. The dragon descended upon it as the girl laid back down on the little rolley cart she had and slid back under her bike and resumed her work. "I've been alone all my life. Another year won't kill me." she muttered, messing with the gears and wires, trying to keep the bike in top condition.

Benjamin shrugged and started to play with the two dragons, hanging pieces of bacon in the air, waiting until they caught them before letting go. "Independence is always fun, but allies are also good. Aquí, poco unos. Hay más tocino aquí." He pushed out his plate, letting the dragons feast on it. [OOC:] "Here, little ones. There's more bacon here."

Icarus just remained quiet, making a few noises to make it seem like she was working. She silently huffed, laying there under her bike. She didn't need allies! No one ever needed her! So why should she need anyone else?! The girl just stayed under her bike before feeling the black dragon lay on her stomach after nuzzling the white one ever so lovingly.

Benjamin smirked as Icarus stayed particularly quiet on the idea of allies. He knew that she wouldn't like the idea, but so what? He didn't particularly mind what she actually thought of his words. But as far as he was concerned, if he ever needed someone to throw a punch, he was coming for her. "Disfrute de su indepencia," he said, before hopping to his feet and taking the trash with him as he left. He threw the plates out in the trash can by the door before heading to the library. He had been issued a list of textbooks he could rent from the library, and he intended to actually have them before class started the next day.

Icarus huffed once he was gone. She then pet the reptile on her stomach. "I don't need anyone. Besides, it's not like anyone has ever needed me." she muttered, only to get her fingers bit as punishment. She rolled out from under her bike and looked at the dragon who climbed back into the side car with the white one, leaving her alone.

Benjamin handed his list to the librarian, who smiled kindly at him. "New student? Have any friends?" "No, señora. Not yet." The librarian tsked, then led him through, getting him his books. Once he had them, he smiled, thanked her, and took the books up to his room. He could already tell this was going to be a rough year, judging by the course load.
