Icarus shrugged as well. "What do I need of family. I never had one to begin with. What's the point of getting one now." she said, taking another long hit before blowing out more smoke. She soon finished it and dropped the cigarette, stepping on it, and grinding it out.

"You wouldn't have been sent to this school if you didn't have family," the guy said cryptically before heading off to finish whatever it was he'd been working on.
Meanwhile, Benjamin was still scooping up debris in the room and getting rid of it. There was a trash can that someone had wheeled in, where the trash went, while the scrawny guy was sorting through it for anything that wasn't actually trash.

Icarus watched as the man went back to his job, wondering what he meant. The girl shrugged and went to see what Benjamin was doing before finding a guy going through the trash. She looked around a little before grabbing a broom and starting to sweep a little.

Benjamin didn't even notice when Icarus showed up. He was still watching everywhere for that little flash of white. He was sure it was an animal, but it had looked too big to be a mouse or a rat. Maybe a possum?

Icarus soon paused to see Benjamin scanning everywhere for something while he shoveled. She then went over to him and tapped him on the back with the broom handle. "Hey, Spaniard. What are you looking for?" she asked, glancing around a little.

Benjamin turned to look at Icarus. At least she called him Spaniard and not Mexican. "Nothing, muchacha."

Icarus looked around more, not believing Benjamin. He wouldn't be looking for nothing. She then went over to a pile in the corner. Perfect rat's nest. So she poked it with the broom a little. She thought she heard something in there so she carefully reached in, only to start swearing horribly and pull her hand out. What was attached to her finger as a black, spiky dragon, the size of a small cat. Its teeth had gotten into her flesh, making her swear as she cradled the creature, trying to get it to let go.

The scrawny guy gasped and yelled, "She found one! She found one!" Everyone ran inside, and they pried the dragon off of Icarus' finger, pushing her and Benjamin into a corner with the first aid kit. Benjamin almost offered to help the girl bandage her wound, but he remembered that he'd probably get clocked, so he glanced at the kit and away. Meanwhile, the group of restorers were gathered around the rat's nest, poking and prodding the creature and the area. "G-good! We can finally get rid of these, er, racoons that have been harboring in here," the professor said, while rapidly flipping through a reference book.

Icarus growled a little when she was shoved in a corner. She quickly bandaged her hand and took the dragon back. "Hey! This is no raccoon!" she said, holding the reptile before looking at it. She studied it for a moment before hugging it. "I'm keeping it."

The professor appeared panicked as Icarus snatched the dragon back. "W-well, as you can see it's been mutated. This is, er, a danger here, after all. You can't keep it, as we'll have to do some studying on it..." Benjamin frowned and looked at the creature. "Why not? The señorita found the little reptil and she should get to keep it."

Icarus nodded some, hold the dragon who seemed to like the warmth. And the comfort of being held after so long. She then glanced to Benjamin. "Seriously, what did you see?" she whispered since the others had gone back to what they were doing.

Benjamin frowned, then leaned closer to Icarus so he could whisper, too. "Something white. A lot like this little criatura. I think it might be the same thing." He started to shovel again aimlessly, still scanning the room in the hopes of finding the dragon's companion. He was sure that was what he was looking for. Finally, as he came into a corner, he noticed that the newspaper was quivering. He carefully crouched down, using his body to hide the corner from the others, before reaching out. A little white snout appeared, and he smiled. "Ahora venido, no muerdo," he whispered to the dragon, and it crawled out. He glanced over his shoulder, then coaxed the creature under his t-shirt. He slipped out of the room unnoticed and pulled the dragon out again, petting her head. "Cuáles son usted niña?" [OOC:] 1. Come now, I don't bite. 2. What are you?

Icarus snuck off when she saw Benjamin sneak away. Once they were alone she saw the little white fuzzy thing he had found. She looked to her little companion who squirmed a little forcing the two closer until the black reptile was about to nuzzle the white one, purring loudly. "I guess they were together up here. Can't separate em. Where are we gonna hide em, Spaniard?" she asked, looking to Benjamin before going back to watching the dragons purr and cuddle.

Benjamin smiled as the dragons cuddled, and he produced a little rose, seemingly out of thin air, and rested it behind the ear of the white dragon, who nuzzled his hand. "Somewhere they won't snoop in. It'll have to be in the school, and somewhere not associated with us."

Icarus nodded some and began to think. "I could always hide em in my Vespa. The back of the side car is loose and there's nothing important. Besides, it's probably got plenty of room in there for both of em." she said, looking to the Spaniard, wondering if he had any ideas.
