NightIntent The Manda Eh... each book has their moments I think. But Ceres is her darker and more mature series, which is why I love it. I mean, how can you expect it to be funny when her family is trying to kill her and take over the world? That's a very good point, but I'm also known for expecting too much from people. I'll probably enjoy Ceres more when I've finished it. I notice that happens a lot to me. Since I base a large part of my opinion of something on the ending. And that's a good way to do it. One really should never have a full opinion on something until they've had a chance to gather all of the facts. In in the case of something like manga, that's usually not until the series ends.

I'm starting to feel so lost and pissed off . . . the library is the only place i can borrow manga (i don't have the money to buy the manga) and their selection is VERY limited . . . but i know enough . . .
i concur that statement, but even then, there are things that both the manga and anime might not answer. i haven't read the entire series or watched it either, but i'm sure there are some questions we have that will never be answered, even when reading between the lines.

I'd say CERES: Celestial Legend is most likely my favorite manga. I like the connections between the fairy tales, DNA/genetics, mysteries of the world, etc. I love connections between things.
I have books #1-13, plus the Art Book (I love that).
I can't really say who my favorite character is. Probably Aki/Progenitor 'cause I like the change in mentality and I have a thing for villains. If it comes to my favorite celestial power though, Shuro's my favorite. I LOVE singing (I want to get a trained voice one of these days) and I often wish I had a guy's voice so I could sing the notes and be better at reading male parts out loud (I wouldn't want one permanently, I'd just like to be able to have the ability to use it, if you know what I mean).

I like Yuuhi and Ceres. *doesn't want to go into detail* sweatdrop I've read and own up to vol. 13. I read in a side panel that vol. 14 is the last of the series, and I set it on layaway about a month ago, even though it's not coming out till Februray. xp God, I'm obsessed with this series! eek

Ayashi no Ceres! Yes! xd Grah... sorry for cutting into another conversation... +_+
After getting into Watase's Alice 19th, I saw Ceres on the shelf with the same author and decided that I wanted to buy it. xD Pretty much my story of me getting into Ceres. I have up to 13 in the manga, and the whole anime series.
My favorite charactes are Aya, Ceres, and Toya. I also love Yuhi, but he's still not quite up there with the rest of them. xD I think it's so awesome that Yuhi mentions the show "Iron Chef" so many times in the manga. I'm fond of that show as well and I always think of Yuhi when I'm watching it. xd Yes, I'm a dork. [I noticed on the first page that not many people like Toya...? >_@''']
Anyway, Ceres is certainly another one of Watase's great work, and I always get emotional when reading it. xd

I'll say this for Yuu Watase: by the end (or near the end) of her manga series, she usually finds some way to bring the love out of the readers for as many characters as she can, be they friend or foe. I mean, look at what we've learned about Mikagi in book #13. (Don't get me wrong, though--he was my favorite character before I read about that. wink ) And Kagami wasn't really bad either, was he.
