Herryk had fallen silent, pondering the aspect of the Parts that Christof had mentioned. He didn't know what the Igor had in mind, but it was obvious that he had a plan. More and more students were popping back into existence here in the yard, and when his eyes fell on one body in particular, he had to take a few moments to assure himself that he was really looking at her.

"Lattice."

A bell sounded and Herryk felt his strength surging back. Scooping Freya against his chest, Herryk carried her over to where Lattice had fallen. Settling Freya next to Lattice, Herryk turned his attention to his dear Engraver friend.

"Is Lattice okay?" She seemed to be physically fine, but Herryk was not entirely sure. Lattice seemed to be sleeping. A frown creased his brow. First Lattice's capture, and then Freya's obvious beating. Herryk wanted to crush everything.

When the boogeyman started to speak of making a decision, Herryk knew what he would do. There was no way that he was leaving Barth behind. Call it stupid, call it adrenaline. Herryk made his decision with a conviction that he knew his team members would have, as well.

"Herryk is going back into the house. Herryk is willing to carry a message, as well."

Bul looked immensely unsettled when Willow didn't have a definite answer for him and began to feel guilty that he had not kept track of his teammates better. In fact he was far luckier than his usual self to have most of them there with him but most wasn't enough he needed them all. Though avoiding tearing up he still had a twisted expression of disgust on his face. How could he let his one likely opportunity to off the target and have to scramble with his fear like a snot?

Turning to Christof as he approached the half beast furrowed his brows sympathetically. "Christof as soon as I find ANYTHING we can use tp torture them I will let you know but as far as fighting them I will only aim for one in particular." Bowing his head to the fellow year two he then turned to Cady.

"As much as I do so appreciate you I our group I would like if you di-"

His bitter request was cut short By the ringing of a bell. The suspicious boogeyman from before they ever entered the house was about to speak. At this point Bul felt they could be trusted. Hunters had such a visible reaction to their fearfulness that it had become terribly easy to identify them. Still no sign of Dr. H thoguh and Bul did doubt the cloaked figures knowledge of such specific a request.

It was their options given that the boil perked up at. Go back to Halloween? Well wouldn't that be nice but there was no doctor there whose head needed to be bought back on a platter for Riley and Nox. So far the boil was leaning heavily to only one option but if his teammates chose not to return to the dangerous labyrinth he would not hold it against them though they are obligated now to locate Bea and bring her back if she was still in that warzone.

Bul turned and looked to his fellow TEAM VENTURE explorers and waited silently to hhear what their thoughts were on the matter.

Bells. The chiming sound of one seemed enough to pull Lattice rather fitfully from out of whatever slumber she was in no matter how deep it might have seemed her body twisted and turned a bit until she sat bolt upright muttering in a panicked and broken tone, "Elder, please, no! I don't want to do this anymo--..."

The returning memory of chimes, torn limbs, and blood still settled in heavily in her mind as she cut herself short and looked wildly before she realized she was still out during that fieldtrip - she heard the voice of the boogeyman and she also heard Herryk and felt Freya nearby as well.

Her hands reached up to touch her own face as if to make sure she was still in one piece and she was silent for a long moment. She had the option to go back and be with her Sister again and to be in her own dorm and to just ... try and forget any of this ever happened.

Hearing Herryk's voice she tilted her head toward him her hand reached out where she felt a warm body next to her palm touching against Freya's nearest limb there seemed to be a certain amount of comfort from all this.

...If they would go in she would too - especially if her groupmates were equally determined. Her head tilted about, "Lizzy? Vieve? Edel?" Lattice called out as best as she could from where she sat she wasn't ready to get up yet - her voice didn't reach very high due to the strain she put upon it but at least she felt a good deal better thanks to the healing efforts brought forth by the Boogeyman that was here.

Roch felt better. He looked at the boogey reaper, raising one eyebrow, knowing he was probably being judged unfairly--or possibly fairly, considering his past. But he'd died for a jackin' good reason, and he wasn't about to feel guilty over it.

He reached up, placing his hand on Danny's shoulder and turning to face her. "You can go home if you want. I ain't gonna keep you here, and frankly, that whole thing sucked wax. Moure's over there, talkin' to Edel--and don't go hatin' her right now, she had a rough time in that tent. But until I see Xiu, or Amrita, or a couple of others, and know they weren't taken, I can't go back."

A little twitch pulled at his lips. "If anything, I'd be happier if you went. Then I'd have my best pal somewhere where I knew she was safe. But it's up to you."

He lifted his hand to the reaper. "I'm goin' back in. I can take a message if you want!"

The boogeyman got Mot's attention. He listened carefully. The options he was given sunk in, and the young reaper thought them over. He had an option to go back. Safe and sound at home. It was.. tempting.
However, Mot could not allow himself to give up and leave. That was just too cowardly for him to do. Mitsu was still not there, and further more, he needed to be stronger. Strange as the training was, he needed it.

The threat of hunters though...

Secretly, Mot wished Lizzy would head back home.

Mot took a look at his group. Sticking with them would be best. Power in numbers, and all. Still, Mot wanted to be useful. He wanted to accomplish something here, and not just attempt to accomplish anything.

The hat-less cowboil strolled up to the boogeyman, lifting a hand up. "I'll relay a message too, if you'd like. I want to help."

Christof's face made her want to laugh, if only because he looked insulted at her for the mere thought of Barth being anything but fine. It was endearing, precious, even, and she reached out her arms to hug him, but before her arms had reached him she had been scooped up and carried off. She craned her head to look at the destination, and Herryk was not holding Freya so much as a wiggling puppy as soon as the valkyrie caught sight of Lattice. When she was placed down next to the ghoul, every aching wound was ignoring as she scrambled to wrap her arms around Lattice's waist.

"LATTICE." She burst the word out, burying her head into the poor ghoul's stomach. "I thought-" A hiccup interrupted her words. "-thought I tolds yeh-" Her sentence trailed off in place of sobs, as she gripped the ghoul for dear life and cried into her stomach.

She was happy to see Lattice.

The sound of bells was oddly soothing, and she found herself relaxing a little - the pain was slowly fading too, although she still hurt all over. Since Edel seemed busy at the moment, she found herself just wandering around aimlessly, trying to locate her other two group members.

It wasn't long before she heard a familiar voice calling her name - it was soft though, and it took a while for her to locate its source.

"Lattice!" She practically ran towards the ghoul, kneeling down beside her - regarding the people around her with a dip of the head to be polite - before checking her over for any obvious injuries. When she could find no major wounds, she heaved a sigh of relief, wiggling and twitching on the spot as she resisted the urge to hug the ghoul right there and then.

After all, someone else was hugging her at the moment.

Damien felt like he just got punched in the ribs, completely blindsided by the fact that Bea was indeed, nowhere to be found. He could recall seeing her behind him when they got to the battlegrounds.......... but after that it all became a blur. It still felt horrible to know that he wasn't keeping one of the team members in mind and that she could be alone out there.

Or worse, in the cloaked figures grasp.

It was impossible to ignore the anxiety that the patchwork was going through as well as the other members of team misery. It was enough to tug on the hounds heartstrings as he gave the Kelpie a pat on the shoulder. "We'll find Barth, and get him back. And show them all the levels of hell for daring to contain us." he said in a quiet rage. It was horrible sight to see, and something he honestly wished never to witness again.

And then Cady had to start talking about................ private matters that made the boil flush like he had a sudden fever. "CADY DON'T T-"

His scolding was silenced by the clang of a bell and the boogeyman from earlier decided to speak up about the situation. It was clear from its reaction that it had no clue about the sudden enemy arrival and that its accomplices had no clue too. But the young Gavenkrantz didn't know if he was retreating because he was taking a more defensive action, or just more concerned about his own life. The two options didn't really seem like a choice at all.

Fight or run. hiding a tail between your legs at a critical time just wasn't what the boil would do. If anything, just a few needed to go back and warn the personnel on campus, but it would take a team to locate not only the missing student or students, but to inform the patrolling boogeymen inside the house.

"I have no clue where Bea is or if Barth can still be saved, But that don't mean I can just run back to safety and hide there, I gotta help save them and relay the message Willow, Bul." he stated plainly to the members of the group. If felt like a foolish decision and it probably was, but if they wanted to retreat, he would not blame them.

Lattice blinked behind her mask as she looked down and had a Freya latched to her waist and both of her hands moved to gently pet at the Valkyrie's hair trying to not hit her winged headband, "It is okay," she murmured softly, soothingly despite any upset she might have felt herself from her own ordeals. The fact that Freya was crying for her was touching and she appreciated and cherished each teardrop.

Soon she had another friend at her side looking her over having heard Lizzy's voice Lattice turned her head toward her, "You're here," she said softly in a thankful tone.

Being surrounded by all this support made it easier for Lattice to want to go on despite her Sister being absent. Yes, it was worth it in the end. The pain. The effort. Everything. Finding her motivation again she just continued to pet Freya's hair for a moment until the Valkyrie was ready to release her and then she'd turn to Lizzy for her hugs as well.

"Thank you all for everything you have done for me," she murmured softly it applied to everyone around her that could hear it.

Christof sagged as people rushed about, either not noticing his note, or coming up empty. Wobbling a bit, he stayed put as the others rushed to the recently freed captives.

But Barth still wasn't here. He stared at his note, at the mark on his hand, brows furrowed now numbly. It took a few moments before the Boogieman's words finally sank through his bleary mind, and he glanced up. Go home? Now? Without Master? Never. His lips pursed, raising a hand for the cloaked figure's attention, patting his chest and pointing to the building. He would go back in. And he would find his Master. And there would be heartfelt reunions for him as well. Just in case, he scribbled out a note to clarify to the older creature: Will deliver message. Will save Master.

Even if no one had any Parts. He couldn't build a bomb even if he had the proper makings- he had no idea how. Barth was usually the one to work out the engineering. The panic was bubbling up in him again, but he swallowed it, sidling back over to Calder to gingerly help him up.

Freya didn't look like she was going to release Lattice, and she was certainly unhappy about the idea of someone she hardly knew seeing her cry, so she took her time and buried her face in the folds of her dress, rubbing the tears away until she just looked red in the face. Then she sat up, rubbed her eyes with her fists, and fell back with a plop into Herryk's lap so Lizzy could have a moment to hug Lattice.

There wasn't any question about what she was planning to do. She'd decided before it was even asked of her.

"Freya is going back in. Barth needs us." She turned her head up all the way, looking at Herryk. Her head dropped back and rested on his chest. If they were really going to go back and ask for more trouble, she was going to cherish this moment of safety while she had it.

Lizzy launched herself at Lattice once she was done hugging the winged reaper, wrapping her arms around the ghoul's neck and pulling her in, holding her tight as if she was afraid that someone might separate them again, "I'm so glad that you are alright! Edel's out too - I saw her just now - but I can't find Vieve! She should be around here though... I'm just so happy to be able to hug you again!"

She choked up at the last part, but pretended that it was all intentional; she wasn't about to get all emotional over this! No way! They still have a ton of things to do, and their training to complete...

For now though? It was a good thing Lattice did not need to breathe because Lizzy was bent on holding her tightly.

Lattice smiled lightly as she gave Freya's hair one more pet before the Valkyrie released her and then it was Lizzy's turn to hug her. The Engraver took the affection as it came and even soaked it up. She was glad for these friends - for these connections, to her this was the very best thing to come out of being away from the Manor. Despite everything the Elders taught Lattice.

...This too was beauty.

All of these warm feelings she felt made the wounds she felt both emotionally and physically feel better though she was still a bit on edge due to the earlier chiming of bells. Still Lattice quietly moved her hand and gently rubbed Lizzy's arm now, "I am glad we are all alright. I am sure Vee will appear soon and ...we will go back in right?"

There was a pause, "Someone was left behind?" her voice filled with concern. The name Barth was familiar - it was the name of that one Demon that ran for president the one with the suggestion box...Yes, she would certainly be willing to help him too.

"I am willing to carry a message as well when we go back..." Lattice murmured softly.

After her announcement of willingness to go back she looked toward Herryk, "Are you alright?" She didn't question whether or not he came to her aid despite not seeing him at the tent. Lattice simply knew that he had because they were friends - good, dear friends.

When Freya dropped back into his lap, Herryk wrapped his arms around her and held her tight. His nose was buried against the top of her head. The terror he'd felt when she'd left him to run to the trap was still with him. Herryk hoped that someday he'd be able to forget the feeling, but right now it was too fresh, too raw.

At Lattice's words Herryk's brows sank in a frown. It was no surprise that Freya would want to go back into the house. He would be shocked if she didn't. But Lattice? Going back into the house? Herryk didn't like the sound of that, not at all. "Herryk is fine," he said softly when Lattice asked him if he was alright, "but Herryk does not like the thought of Lattice going back into the house."

He couldn't get the sight of her caged out of his mind.

"Barth was left behind," he added, glancing towards Christof. The igor seemed to be the most distraught out of all of them. Herryk wished that there was something he could do right now, but there wasn't. They could only go back into the house and do their best to fight their way back.

"I want to complete this... This training," She nodded as she begrudgingly let go of Lattice to kneel down beside her, although she quickly took hold of one of her hands, "I won't force anyone to complete it with me though! I... I can understand if you, Edel or Vieve wish to return to the school."

She blinked, looking at Freya with widened eyes, temporary distracted by the NOT QUITE SUDDENLY MAN CHEST the indecently dressed winged ghoul was snuggling up against; perhaps they were what Charlie would call 'special friends'?

Blushing, she quickly brushed that thought aside, trying to focus on the more pressing issue at hand, "Barth... Was left behind?" She thought that everyone made it back safely! What if Vieve was still there? Or Tess? Her panic levels were rising again and she squeezed Lattice's hand, trying to calm down as she frowned, "W-what happened to him?"

She looked at Freya, and then at the NOT SO SUDDENLY MAN CHEST boil before finally turning to look at Christof; they were a group, right?
