On a scale of 1-10, how strong is the force persuasion attempt Kal is making? Is it his full command of the force because he recognizes she's a force user and is making no mistakes, or is it just an attempt because he's a Master and assuming he could dominate her easily? I ask just because I know he's a Master and Malo's just a Knight there have been instances where a Master didn't apply enough Force to control the Knight's mind. :3

It's not his strongest attempt. If Kal wanted to make no mistakes in persuasion, he'd just say '******** all' and use Mind Control. It's more like a Sith's version of Persuasion. If Malo has ever been Mind Tricked by a Sith before (Mab, maybe?) then she might be able to resist Kal, or on a very good day, deflect his persuasion entirely.

i'm evening the balance. there are far too many perfect Jedi (coughkennero+minacough+ronyocough+sam) and far too many dastardly sith there has to be some troubled soul out there
and i happen to play the troubled soul quite well
