"Hm," she murmured quietly. The Noble fell silent again for a while. Just when the General would think she had fallen asleep again, Senaka opened one eye slightly. She wanted to prompt him, but knew he would speak when ready. Sometimes it paid to be a patient creature.

Then again it only proved to aggravate her.

"Aren't you forgetting something, General?" she asked in a low tone that hinted at amusement. Both her eyes opened slightly as she looked up at Ace. His profile was sharp against the artificial lighting that brightened the area beyond. Raising one eyebrow, the Noble again waited patiently for him to respond.

"Alright. Be that way," the Noble replied as she stretched her arms up. After hearing a definite pop, she relaxed into her position again and closed her eyes.

"I'll be here when you feel like sharing." Senaka made a sound like a laugh before adding," Not like I have anything more interesting to do anyways."

Senaka sighs softly.

"Never mind," she chuckles with a shake of her head. "You'll figure it out eventually."

Suka's ears perk as Ty nears, but her body stays still beside the Noble.

"How long do you bet it'll take til he realizes he is suppose to fill us in on that meeting he went to?" Senaka chuckled to her wolf. Suka lifted her head and eyes the Noble.

"That long, huh? Two bits say twice that," the Noble countered. Suka snorted and resumed her position, resting her head on her paws. Senaka laughed and relaxed into her nap.

"Guess we'll see."

(Thought I'd drop a hint, since you seemed to have forgotten the plan. lol And what is with that file you always keep bringing out? You trying to find out intel on Senaka's past or something? Just guessing at this point. XD)

Time passed as the Noble rested and the human continued his work. Final preparations were made for the bunker and fewer people passed by on their way out. Many worked their way further in while Senaka remained closer to the exit. She knew by the hushed voices and urgent movements that the people who ran by were worried by the Demon Coal that stood frozen outside and the dangers of an unknown assailant. Akila had been easily put out of commission, who knew which outpost or border village would be struck next. The biggest fear would be water shortage. Since it was scarce in this age, only a few small oasis had wells to draw from, Akila being one of about three at this nations disposal.

Just before sunset, Senaka opened her eyes and yawned widely. Getting to her feet, she lifted her arms and stretched as tall as she could before shaking off the last dregs of sleep.

"Well, onward then. Shall we?" she cheered to her wolf. Suka woofed happily and bounced to her feet to follow.

Walking over to sit beside the General, the Noble mock looked at his file over his shoulder. She wasn't trying to read it, but she wondered what his response would be.

"What's the status of things, child of the age of war?"

"Do not attempt to belittle me with your sense of philosophical depth. I know what I was saying. You are a child from an age of war," she snapped distinctly. Catching herself, the Noble sighed and relaxed. It was so easy to revert back to her old ways, she would need to work on that.

"I keep forgetting that you missed a great deal of time when you came here. So for your benefit, I will explain the basics of Noble history cataloging. Nobles measure time in ages, which last about 10,000 years each give or take a decade. Each age is then classified by what events predominated during that span. There were three distinct eras which were classified as dominating around violence. Your time period was the first. Not to say that war wasn't present in all ages, just that it was a main focus. The other classifications are science, philosophy and religion. Each have positive and negative contributions that generally dictate which type of age will occur following it," she explained in a wistful voice.

"No, we are not in an age of war. At least not from what I gather. Noble historians usually don't classify an age until after it has passed," Senaka conceded with a small smile. "But if I were to take a guess, it would be an age of philosophy. There are many who delve into the realms of books, trying to learn what the passed has to offer us in hopes of bettering our future. Sometimes that is for the good, sometimes the not so good." The Noble looked over at the General, a solemn look on her face. Taking the file into her hands, she looked down at it's pale manila covering.

"At least it is not an age of science. That age is more frightening than even an age of war. Ambition in the hearts of man can be a most enduring, or a most tormenting thing. It can enlighten, or it can ensnare. Thankfully, an age of science has already passed, so we need not fear it's defecation for a great while."

Gently, she opened the file to reveal it's contents.
